Edit player crashes game

Whenever I go to edit a drafted player in Franchise Mode the game just crashes out and closes. This is beyond frustrating as I can’t make any changes to equipment or numbers or anything. Why in the world am I paying money for a game that doesn’t work? It is impossible to get in touch with anyone at EA about this issue. At this point I just want a refund for this game. Just extremely frustrating. This is for PS5 btw. Not sure if that matters.
