To be fair this bug was in NHL 24 as well but somehow still hasn't been patched. When you're simming through the calendar screen in Franchise, an injury happens which makes you call up someone from the minors, change your lines accordingly and proceed with the sim, the calendar glitches and shows you the scores from the AHL team not the NHL one.
There's a separate glitch that's similar where again if you change lines whilst calendar simming, the calendar will just go right to the last game of the season. It's simming the games in the background but you can't follow along real-time.
