Scratch that, scored a few hatties in Memorial cup without a crash. Then first pre-season game after getting drafted, I crashed after a hat trick. This time though I pressed x (PS5) to skip and saw "Hold to skip" as there was probably something special happening since I was now in NHL. Couldn't save video and wasn't recording, but I did send crash report. Hope it helps thanks!

It’s not just the hat trick celebrations either. Just had my second occurrence of the game crashing at the end of a period when the buzzer sounded. Anytime the **bleep** announcers talk that’s not live action it seems at risk of crashing. Before if I got a hat trick I would just quit out the game so I didn’t lose my stats but now it’s seeming like it could happen anytime. This game mode is becoming unplayable. Which is weird because it doesn’t seem like you’ve changed it at all in 4 years.

Someone else mentioned disabling commentary helped with this. However, I haven't heard of much success with this.
My game game crashed twice today so it's not fixed... in two weeks.
Give me a way to disable these cutscenes. That would fix it. They take too long anyways. Just happened to me again, same hat trick goal celebration every time.
