Hi, jus reporting back. This bug is still very much in the game. EA_Aljo, I know you don't make the decisions on how the game is handled and developed, so my frustrations aren't with you, but with EA.
It absolutely boggles my mind how a game breaking bug like this one goes un patched. This has been in the game SINCE launch. That is utterly ridiculous.
What is worse, is that this bug can be temporarily fixed by the user, but to do that, the user has to navigate the egregiously slow, stuttery menus.
The handling of the NHL series by EA execs and the poor prioritization of what features should be most important is a clear example as to why the NHL series has been, and will continue to be, just barely mediocre.
I applaud the devs and the social media teams for doing what they can to make the game as good as they can get it, but it is very obvious there is some seriously awful oversight of a game that consumers deserve to have better experiences with, especially considering this game is THE NHL video game. The MOST popular hockey game on the planet.
I hope one day the press tears into the treatment of the NHL series, so EA is forced to give NHL the love like Madden got when franchise mode didn't get changes for years. It is an unfortunate reality, to realize that the only real change a major sports title that EA handles, will only get more than the bare minimum attention, is when the reputation of egotistical execs is on the line.
As an enthusiast of hockey, this title is an absolute disgrace to the sport, the culture, and the community that are brought together to enjoy hockey as a medium.
I hope one day, i will be proven wrong, and that the NHL series becomes more than just the ultimate representation of cost effectiveness vs market value.
