This happens in the first round of the playoffs since the last update. One random player on the opposing team will get insane stats on the leaderboard after the first couple games. If you look at the actual stats, those are accurate, but the leaderboard will say some 4th liner has 44 points during game 2. When you make it to the second round, the player/stat disappears.
Not a big deal, just kinda funny.

I had same issue one time in my bap career. But these insane stats was just into the game on “ice live stats”. I saw some random player at the first place with 50 points in second playoff round lol. After match ive tried see stats in the menu and everything works fine, that player had 4 points. My opinion is that when u see someone with these insane stats, it counts player points+hits because in my game it shows 50 points for random player and after match in menu when i look at that player he was at 4 points and 46 hits.
Its hard to take screenshot of this i think, because its very rare bug.

Heres a screenshot. The fact that this is even possible in a triple A title im 2024 is inexcusable. its been an issue for months too there is a forum post on it 2 months ago
Most times I've seen it, the player is a total donkey. Like zeroes across the board and less than 20 minutes ice time after the first round, but like you said, the in-match stats during game 2 or 3 show 40 or 50 points with the next closest player at 9 points.
