Interference penalty is broken. If you lose a faceoff and switch to a different player 25% of the time your center will get called for interference. This has been an issue in other versions of the game as well. Also interference penalties are dialed way too high.
This bug has been in the game since NHL 24 and it's so annoying. I don't get how they still haven't fixed it.
Community ManagerHi there. Can you get a video of this? Just put it up somewhere it can be streamed and respond with a link. Thanks!
We average about 1 of these a game. Watching the replay is hilarious - normally the guy's jersey makes contact with the other guy and it gets called.
Community ManagerThank you for gathering the clip. How often is this happening? Does it occur regardless of the grip you choose?
It has been happening ever since hybrid controls were brought back in NHL 24. It doesn't matter what grip you use. This always happens, or there is at least some chance of it happening when you switch players after a lost face-off.
Community ManagerAre you holding down the stick tie up button on faceoffs?
I don't use stick tie-up. Otherwise, I get a interference penalty even when I have it set to 0 in the sliders.
Community ManagerWhat mode is this happening in? Also, I assume you're the Blue Jackets or are you playing against a friend who is taking the penalty?
I spend the most time in Play Now either by myself or with friends, where this bug happens regularly, or in Be a Pro, but I haven't had that kind of problem there. In the video, I was playing for the Blue Jackets.
