Black Screen when Leaving Replay Editor

Whenever I want to change my graphics settings to export a replay in higher quality. The game does an eternal black screen sometimes when I leave replay editor, where I cannot interact with anything, but I can hear pedestrians and skaters skating around where I am indicating the game is working and calculating things - except calculating my ability to play the game, This forces a reset and I lose all my progress in the replay I just keyframed.

This happened last season but less often.

My pc is low spec - but I can run lowest settings at 60 fps.
