I tried to complete the Transition Skating 101 mission, in which there's an objective called "Complete the AR Program". One of the steps includes grabbing the board with L2 first, and then R2. L2 performs the board grab, but R2 doesn't do anything for me. I can't get past this mission. The button works fine for rolling without the board in the game, and also works fine for other games, so I'm pretty sure it's a bug in Skate. I play on PC, through the Epic Games app.

Same here on a PS4 controller.
same here its broken only in that mission
So I figured out a work around (STEAM ONLY)
Right click skate and go to Manage->Controller layout
In controller layout go to Triggers
Then click add command on soft pull R2 to Right Trigger
Do the same for Soft Pull L2 if you wish
You should now be able to grab your board!
wait, its L2 and share button, i just passed the coffin mission, and have 4 fingers on the button while my chin control the L3....
Try custom button assignments

I FIGURED IT OUT FOR PS5! Once you’re starting the mission, go to settings, accessories, controller. Then scroll down all the way to controllers accessibility then select custom button assignments. Click enable custom button assignments and switch L2 with R2. Go back into the game and it will now let you grab the board. You will have to go back and do this again because the tutorial make sure you use the other hand to grab the board as well. When you have finished this you can switch your buttons back to the original layout!!
I just found out the answer. I posted it. You have to go into the PS5 settings and switch the assigned button layout from L2 to R2 and then switch it back again.
I figured it out, going to settings into controller, accessibility, and go to where you can customize the buttons and switch L2 with R2 go back into the mission and it will work. Then you will have to switch it back again.
Just go into your settings and go to controller, then controller, accessibility, and switch the assigned L2 an R2. Reverse them, then go back into the game and do the mission. You will have to reverse them again to do the second part of the mission and then it will work
