CROSSPLAY INVITATION

PLAYING WITH FRIENDS.

I've just started playing Skate. It just came out, so I wanted to invite my cousin who plays on Xbox while I'm on PC, but it won't let us connect. It says there's no connection or that one of us is disconnected. It simply didn't work. I find this unacceptable, considering it's a game whose gameplay is based on social interaction.

PHYSICS & COLLISIONS.

Another problem I've noticed with the game is the player collision. Since this is a game that relies on realistic physics to be fun, it really should have collisions with other players.

Sometimes, even when you're going fast and crash head-on into an object, you don't even get knocked off your board, which just feels weird and breaks the immersion.

In my opinion, the game needs more attention to these kinds of details. The player collision could be an option, like a 'peaceful mode' that you can toggle in the social menu. This would let you either avoid collisions completely or turn them on to interact and crash into other players. This way, everyone could choose the experience they prefer.

HUD.

I think the HUD could also be a lot better. I'm one of those players who prefers to have as little on screen as possible, because the mission information feels too big in the top-left corner and the compass, honestly, is something I never use.

It would be great if there was an option in the menu to reduce the size of these elements or, even better, a way to customize the HUD to hide what I don't need. That would make the whole experience feel a lot cleaner and less distracting.

THE CAMERA.

The camera settings are really confusing. Sometimes, when I'm doing challenges or just skating around, the camera has issues and I can't see what's to one side of me. The problem is that the options aren't very clear and I don't really understand what each one does.

On top of that, the background in the settings menu is an issue. Instead of showing me the game in real-time to see how things are changing, it just shows a static image of the pause menu. This makes it impossible to see the effect of the changes as I'm making them.

I'd like the camera options to be clearer and, most importantly, for the game to let me see how the changes affect things in real-time while I'm moving at a good speed on my board. That would make it so much easier to find the perfect setup.

PARKOUR.

Sometimes, when you're climbing certain buildings or surfaces, even when it looks like you can clearly keep going, your character just doesn't grab on. It's pretty frustrating, because you might make it up fine, but for some strange reason, your friend can't. It just breaks the whole flow and is one of those small details that should be more consistent.

THE END. (for now)

Generally speaking, I like the game, but I believe it could improve in the aspects I've mentioned. For now, this is my small contribution to the game's feedback.

The game has a lot of potential. I understand it's in early access and just launched, so I don't pay much attention to what many people say about the in-game store prices, the cosmetics, the lack of content in the main missions, or the connection issues when starting the game.

Since this is a free-to-play game, the cosmetics and their costs aren't that relevant to me and, in my opinion, don't negatively impact the experience. Ultimately, the game needs to generate revenue to be maintained. Besides, cosmetic items don't negatively affect your gameplay or harm you or anyone else, which is why I'm not providing feedback on that topic.

I hope this game continues to grow, that people continue to enjoy it, and that the developers do a great job, just as they have been doing so far.
