Can’t export MP4 videos from replay editor. (PC)
Last week the game would crash when attempting to export MP4s, this week I get the 321 countdown which transitions directly into the pop up saying the video was saved to my local disk (after the count down the game never plays the clip during the export procedure) despite there being NO video saved in my local disk. MP4 files were exporting fine up until the 7 ply event update hit the game. webm files work normally, but they export at a very low resolution, as well as at about 75-80% speed. have reset graphics drivers, repaired game files, deleted/reinstalled game, and updated motherboard bios with NO luck. Have also tried exporting on an ROG Ally X but have the same issue. exporting clips is the main thing bringing me back to this game, please fix this asap.Spot battles broken
There's a problem since the start of the season that only happens in custom spot battles. 3 things can happen: 1 - Spectator’s camera goes crazy into the ground when watching some players (totally random as concerned to which player’s turn or which round). 2 - Black screens (sometimes it passes in-between rounds or when the spot battle ends, but you’ll have to miss part or even the whole battle on a black screen). 3 - UI freezes and you can’t move or quit the battle. Even when it ends, you still aren’t able to move, so you inevitably have to restart the game. Sorry if the comments sound a little too emphatic sometimes.
Season 5 AMD 'TDR' Crash
Post Season 5 update, The game crashes and forces a black screen on both monitors after compiling shaders, causing the whole system to become unresponsive and forcing a hard reboot requiring 2 power cycles to fix, i.e. complining shaders> crash> power off> power cycle > reboot> black screen/unresponsive> power off> power cycle> reboot (GPU disabled)> enable GPU > AMD driver failure/error report screen > disable GPU > enable GPU. I'm assuming this is another AMD related issue, as prior to this update, the game required AMD drivers to be rolled back to version 25.9.1 in order to fix the weird visual bugs. Post season 5, the game will not boot using AMD version 25.9.1. Explaining the crash and symptoms to gemini gave me the the following diagnosis: "Issue Summary: The game triggers a Windows TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery) event immediately following shader compilation. Upon transitioning from the shader cache screen into the main menu/fullscreen environment, the engine hangs the GPU swap-chain buffer. Because the graphics driver fails to respond to Windows within the standard 2-second window, the OS forcefully resets the display driver, causing a complete loss of monitor signal, desktop crash, or driver crash. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch the game normally in exclusive fullscreen mode. 2. Allow shader compilation to complete. 3. Observe immediate black screen / GPU signal loss as the main menu attempts to load." Hardware Specs: Operating System: Windows 10 CPU Brand: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor RAM: 32 GB Video Card: AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT Primary VRAM: 12 GB So far I have tried the following: - Updating drivers from 25.9.1 to 26.8.1 - Verifying file interity through Steam - Clearing and Re-installing drivers - Power cycling - Clearing the Windows directX Shader Cache via Disk Cleanup. - Launching the game and compiling shaders while tabbed-out, with focus on a browser window (launching with game running in the background). - Launching the game with no other apps or browsers open in the background - Launching game with "-windowed" and "-dx11" added in Steams Launch commands. Ive still got a few things left I might try but I've been at this for hours so I'm not very optimistic. Hopefully this info helps someone.
MY CHAR IS MOVING SLOW
Dont know what happened but char is moving slow and headquarters never fix problem. i already uninstall game just for me to find out that didint work. this just happened a couple of days ago. all of my software & gcard is up to date. Its Only happening with skate. I already cleared my cache
Replay Mode Crashing Bug
I’m unsure if this is happening with multiple consoles but on my Xbox Series X, when I utilize the replay mode, occasionally, when trimming a clip if I hold A to restart the clip and then use my triggers to skim, my game will crash. Pretty annoying when I nail a cool trick and then all proof of it just ceases to exist.
steam discussions ban issue.
So i was banned on skate's discussions on steam, meaning i cant comment or upload anything related to skate. My main issue is that i play alot of it and realised i cant really upload screenshots on steam due to that ban sadly. I contacted steam's support few months ago and asked if it would be possible to remove my ban, but they told me to contact EA for that, and i did, but they also told me that they dont have that ability since the ban is done on steam itself.. What the hell is going on with this game? Heaps of players are invisible other than their name and board, every single quick chat/emote on the wheel is completely gone besides the heart, I have 5 quick drop items down and none are displayed in the bottom corner while editing, any time someone starts a spot battle the little banner shows up nearly black instead of white. Some players seem to be able to edit and delete my quick drops even though since day one I set it to only me. Other players quick drops instantly visible to me when they put them down even though it’s always been set to not show other players stuff and when I clicked to inspect the screen completely bugged out forcing me to close app as nothing at all was loading. Not to mention this other quick drop exploit where players make their objects completely impossible to interact with so they can’t be disabled it just forces you to deal with these pests griefing everyone relentlessly and there is absolutely NOTHING that you can do about it. I have no clue how but seemingly without a matter of hours this game has been flipped on its head cause it is an absolute train wreck right now. Attempting to play this game right now is abysmal to say the very least.
Right stick to pump does not work
Currently I can pump with the triggers, or the left stick, when left stick forward to pump is on. No matter what settings I use though, right stick down to pump just never seems to activate the pumping trick or give me additional speed. Also, kind of related. Turning on Semi Auto Pumping seems to make manual pumping really inconsistent. Sometimes you gain a lot of speed, sometimes you gain no speed. Sometimes the pumping trick doesn't even activate but you still gain speed anyway.Request : Choose the location of UI popups depending on context
I have lost count on the number of times that I wanted to change the Field of View to a specific value in the replay editor when just at that moment someone starts a throwdown or skate jam, resulting in a popup that obscures the menu. Then I have to wait 9 seconds for the popup to disappear, before I can continue. When displaying a popup the game could check if the user is in a menu, and if so choose a better suited location. Alternatively there could be a dedicated dismiss button. Alternatively no popups are shown while in the replay editor, or any other menu.
