Alt-Tab causes GPU usage and temperature to spike while Skate is unfocused
When Skate loses focus through Alt-Tab, GPU utilisation and power consumption spike significantly, even in windowed mode. On an RTX 3080, temperature rises from approximately 60°C while focused to 84°C while unfocused. Setting NVIDIA Control Panel → Background Application Max Frame Rate to 20 FPS completely prevents the issue. This suggests the game’s background rendering becomes uncapped or is not correctly throttled when focus is lost. After applying the 20 FPS background limit, the GPU remains at approximately 60°C while Skate is unfocused.
Quick Drop Bug
I started experience a glitch when i open up the quick drop menu but instead of seeing the items the menu backdrop pops up (the background of the hub section). I can’t do anything nor see my surroundings. This has happened 3 times today, 2 of those were within 30 mins. anyone know why this is happening?
Neighbourhood Progress reset & stuck at 0 / 0
Description of the issue: Right after the Season 3 maintenance was over and I hopped in to check things out, all of my neighbourhood levels and progress got reset/bugged out. They are simply stuck at 0 / 0 and will not update or progress at all. Can't buy any product boxes either, even if it shows that I already have multiple boxes unlocked in said neighbourhood. It's been like this two weeks. Steps to trigger/reproduce the issue: Start the game as usual Look at the 0 / 0 on your current neighbourhood and wonder if all your progress gone Write bug report and hope for the best. I've seen a handful of other people post on reddit and the discord with the same issue. Still no acknowledgement as a known bug, which worries me a ton. Platform: PC (Steam) Troubleshooting steps already performed: Validated files through Steam. Reinstalled game completely. Attempted to run a few missions both old and new in every neighbourhood hoping it would fix things. No luck.
Bug
OK so I play on PS5 and I’m a new player as well. I’m trying to level up but every time I go to the extrovert shop, nothing happens. I have tried restarting the game. I have tried restarting my PlayStation. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and then I tried restoring the license and none of that worked. Also, my map is completely blank of anything besides the X game quests. What’s going on?PS4 Server Connection
I'm unable to connect to server when launching the map. The game initially boots up the X-games arena loading screen then switches over to the Skate logo loading screen after a few minutes. An error message prompts shortly after saying that the connection was lost. I have ran into a moment where the X-games loading screen stayed up for over 10mins before deciding to shutdown.Task completion bug
I have been playing as a skate insider for almost a week straight now and I can say that every so often it becomes impossible to complete a certain daily or weekly tasks. For instance yesterday's trick of the day was the variable kickflip, I completed many of these and it only ever went up to 4 and stopped there. Most of the time though it never lets me make any progress to begin with.
Spectating & Teleporting To A Player Can Cause Infinite Loading
This came up because of the monthly challenge, and a few players talking about this on the discord. Went in to test it myself. If you do: Social Menu > choose a player from the "specate" list > "teleport" you seemingly always teleport fine. If you do: Social Menu > choose a player from the "spectate" list > choose "spectate" (so you view them full screen), then hold (A) to teleport, the game can go into an infinite loading state. When you close the game, and relaunch it, the teleport has actually worked, you are put where you expected to be. This may be something to do with how far away they are? In the video attached: timestamps - feel free to skip to the important parts! i've chopped out the actual infinite loading because they went on for a while. 0:10 Teleport without pressing spectate - works fine. 0:20 Teleport from "spectating" - infinite load. 0:40 Relaunching skate 1:23 I've reloaded into the game where the teleport was supposed to put me 1:35 Teleporting without pressing spectate - works fine 2:07 Teporting via spectating to a close by player - works fine. 2:10 Teleporting to someone else via spectating - infinite load
