Flip trick in mid air when trying to do a motion grind

When trying to do a grind that uses a motion rather than a direction such as a blunt the character will occasionally do the corresponding motion's flip in mid air instead, gaining additional height. This flip trick is not registered as a late flip.

In the attached clip you can see I am trying to grind but instead I get launched and do a pop shuv.
