Game keeps crashing on PS5 at the intro

So this is my first time playing the skate franchise and it’s off to a bad start. 
I was able to create my character from the intro and was able to load, but then it gave a loading screen for about 15 minutes. Then the map didn’t want to load properly, but was able to run to the settings. So I turned off crossplay and restarted the game. 
Went back on, tried again, and this time it loaded in the into spot. Climbed the wall to get my skate board, then the game crashed. 
Tried multiple times to get it to work. Even skipping the annoying app scenes and it still crashes

This is after this update that people have said. I’m assuming it’s like their first season thing, and for PS players it is not functioning properly at all. Not enjoying the game cuz I can’t play it.
