I did the 2 tri tower challenges but they count towards nothing

I did the 2 challenges and all it does is cross out “do 2 challenges at tri towers” with a line and whenever I restart the game no matter where I am( could be on the other side of the map) the game starts with the cutscene you have after completing one challenge while the scene is black. Then it opens up settings. So the. I close it but I am where I was last in the game(like the other side of the map)
