PC Mouse UI Bug: Missing Store Purchase Confirmation

When navigating the store menus on PC using a mouse, the 'Buy' and 'Exit' buttons are placed way too close together with barley any room between click boxes, making misclicks highly likely.

Unlike controller inputs or the keyboard spacebar which correctly utilize a 'Hold to Confirm' mechanism the mouse cursor registers an instant, immediate purchase upon a single left-click. There is zero confirmation prompt or safety barrier. This layout flaw causes immediate, non-consensual spending of premium currency (San Van Bucks) when a player is simply trying to click the adjacent exit button.

This issue has been reported internally multiple times months ago.

    This exact issue happened to me just now and I accidentally purchased one of the stupid creator t-shirts for 350. There is 0 chance EA would give the bucks back as they're clearly just money hungry with this game and not actually listening to people.

    It happened to me a couple months ago and I’ve spoken to ea support about it several times and every time I did the advisor from support would acknowledge that wasn’t my fault, say it’s being escalated, then my case would silently close a couple days later and that’s exactly how it would continue to play out every time I would reopen the case, but now that option is entirely gone so yesterday I had to make a new case, and after 3 hours and being tossed to 4 different advisors and advisors either ignoring or flat out refusing my request to speak to a supervisor I was told nothing can be done. 

    I was pointed to their standard return policy despite the purchase not being consensual and clearly a result of their own UI layout and sudden lack of confirmation for mouse, I tried to resolve it months ago yet it’s still happening and I’m sorry you just lost your SVB due to the issue they’ve been aware of.

     

    Early on when this game became public that same thing happened but with the spacebar, I didn’t really have an issue with it because I would’ve bought the item regardless. The difference now though is they added a buy confirmation to spacebar but not the mouse.
