Some input often gets ignored
Most noticeable with torpedo/spread eagle and manuals
I believe this happens because another animation isn't quite done yet - don't get me wrong, I understand not being able to do a trick in the middle of another one, but the input also gets ignored at the end of tricks when it already looks like the character is ready again
There's 3 things that I think could improve/fix this:
- let animations be overridden by other tricks when they're almost done (= when the char is just transitioning into the normal stance again)
- add coyote time (input being remembered for a fraction of a second and then applied once possible)
- let certain tricks that have to be held (like torpedo/spread eagle and manuals) be triggered once the character is ready when the required buttons/sticks are being held/pushed without requiring to re-press/push them when you started the input while the character was in another animation that blocked that trick (I hope this is understandable haha)
