If you forfeit or retreat you don't get the banners. You'll need to do another battle and submit if you want the 10 banners.
I think you didn't attack. You probably forfeited.
I have 1000% secured 10 banners by attacking and forfeiting a match in order to get just the bare minimum round rewards.
