I attacked an enemy team with Darth Malgus lead and with my Sith team managed to take every last one of his allies, when the timer ran out. I then quickly run away from the screen, with the game saying I earned 4 flags for my unfinished attempt; and when I came back it tells me that the timer run out and counted the whole attack as a loss, with no enemies being defeated.
