Cas still does not open and it's an endless loading screen making me have to cancel the game through task manager.

CAS not opening is related to mods. Please check the List for Broken/Obsolete and Updated Sims 4 Mods: 1.109 (September 18, 2024) Game Update for more information.
Please post in the Mods forum for help if you can't figure what mod is causing the issue for you.
Please create a new thread if you have issues without any mods installed and also deleted the localthumbcache file.
Can anyone confirm if they are aware of the CAS issues? Just did the patch update and CAS is still not loading.
Do you have any “more traits” mods ? For some the issue was solved after they took it off.
Same here. Impossible to even create a new household, it is sincerely pissing me off, spending this much money on a game that is close to rotting ? This is sincerely wild. I hope they fix this soon because I had done EVERYTHING. Took out ALL mods and cc, even tried to figure out which one might be causing this bug but clearly none of them so it’s not a problem from my side. What sincerely makes all of this even crazier is that there’s people playing with base game, 0 mods, 0 cc and yet they have the same problem.
At this point this whole game should be entirely free and by whole game I mean their dlc or they should at least hire actual hardcore simmers and let them fix the game that THEY can’t seem to fix !
Ok so I found a FIX! Remove all mods and make sure you get the updated mods and start putting mods back in the sims and CAS works fine. But there had to be a broken mod or something I haven’t found it yet. Also, try starting a new game…I know that blows but it got stuff to work again like before. Hope this helps.
I just tested it again with todays patch update, and still CAS is broken
I'm having the same issue when trying to edit an existing household. I updated all my mods and CC and CAS will load fine when trying to create a new game, but when I try to edit any household in my current save it wont load.
Yep, it’s still broken for me too. Everything else appears to be fine, but CAS just perpetually loads before I have to force exit through task manager. This is damaging to our computers and I wish they would address this problem, because clearly it isn’t resolved. I just paid 40$ for this new pack and haven’t gotten the opportunity to use it once. I’m about to demand reimbursement or something if this isn’t resolved soon.

It was working on 7/23/24, other than my CC not working, but now today I update the game, I get my CC to work, and it's just an infinite white void...
So, I played with a pre-existing household, and it didn't let me enter build mode, manage worlds, gallery and such! What makes that worse is after it just crashed!!
Get this, my computer was MADE for gaming and video editing!!
But IDK how to load up task manager, so I just restart my PC.
This is so unconvincing, but all that matters is that these lovely people are having an awesome day/night/afternoon/morning
Me too! I’ve been trying to play all day and it’s my only day off I was so looking forward to playing the sims. Only thing is it takes control of my computer and I have to restart or shutdown…thanks a lot EA you suck!
