Animals stuck in inventory (Patch 1.108.318)

I have the same issue. I don't  know where to go for an answer.

Same issue! First time I've picked the game up in a while too. Plus animals still dying! 

I too am having the same issue, Grim Keeps coming to reap my chickens and cows.  I purchased a replacement cow and it shows in Household inventory but is grayed out.  I have the latest update for the game and no I do not use any mods.  

Add me to the list. I have both a cow and llama stuck in my household inventory.

From what I can tell this is an old bug, that's never been fixed 😔 what a shame.

I only just developed this problem. I've been playing my animals for months, but just this week I got this bug. I didn't take them to the finchwick fair though, just one day I logged in and they were in my inventory instead of in the shed and there is no way to get them back into the shed, I've tried everything described here and on other threads and on reddit. The only thing changed was the game setting about aging animals. Because they keep dying, even chicks die of "old age" I turned the aging off, next time I logged in the cow and llama were stuck in my inventory, even after changing aging back on. 

Happening to me as well, with the llama suck in household inventory.  When I instructed a Sim to assign an animal, the selection process happens, the Sim waits... Nothing happens. This is the original (and only) llama on the lot.
