(I searched a lot to find this issue and could not.) 2 SDXs ago (during the event) The Sims 4 (for PC) began loading very quietly. I have to crank the volume, then all other programs default to overly loud. I just stopped playing due to the low volume, but finally removed my mods to test the sound; it's still ongoing. No save game is required to test, the loading music is enough to hear (or barely hear).
*ETA* I tried repairing and reinstalling.
