I'm trying to study a historical display at the museum for the event and no matter what I click all I get is view with Emits picture on it. I've tried all my museums. I even took out my mods and repaired the game and still the same thing.

it worked this time! I literally did that and went to other sculptures and paintings and in different locations and it didn't want to work.
I was having this issue. I viewed a statue in the Willow Creek museum, then shift+clicked my sim, and selected Reset Object (Debug). After my sim reset it fulfilled the task. Hopefully this helps for someone else.
I'm having the same issue. I have went to all the museums and all I'm getting is "view" with Emits face.
I'm having the same problem. I play on a pc, and I have no mods or cc installed. I've tried the museum in both Willow Creek and Oasis Springs. I've tried clicking on various pieces in both locations. Nothing works. Edit: I tried viewing the picture posted above and just letting my sim stand there for a while. Eventually it worked. Thank you!
Thank you! Letting my sim stand and view a sculpture until it stopped by itself worked. The "want" that my sim got on arrival to view a museum piece completed immediately when I started viewing it, but the event didn't tick off until she had been there 30-45 sim minutes and the viewing canceled itself.
i did get this interaction to work for the task to complete. The library task AND the Elder interation task are not working for me. I turned off my mods and played in a brand new save file to do this week's tasks. I can't use the same save that I did last week, because I got a new computer and couldn't transfer the save from my old computer. the only thing I wanted from this week's list of goodies was the alarm clock so that was all the farther I was going to play. Unfortuately, these checklists NEVER work smoothly and is the reason I absolutely hate this way of getting new content.
None of these worked for me until I tried Reset Obeject (Debug) on my sim. She was veiwing the painting mentioned before when I reset, and it cleared then.
I had the same issue but was able to get it to work. While my sim is viewing the sculpture, I use their phone to travel and when then travel was complete, it fulfilled the goal

I was having the same problem, but the "On the Hunt Statuette" worked for me as well! I just added it to one of my preexisting libraries. Thanks!
