[CoL] Chickens never show up inside the coop

Just to make it clear. You SHOULD see the chickens inside of the chicken coop.

This is a BUG. You should be able to see the chickens where the red circles are.

The way the picture looks, without the chickens in place, has always been what it looked like for me ever since I bought Cottage Living that I thought that was what it was supposed to look like. I would not have known that it was bugged if I did not find it here by chance.

This game is so bugged that I don't even know what is a feature and what is a bug anymore. And we pay good money for these. How terrible.

I would think it's normal if I haven't seen chicken in those spots from YouTubers' reviews.

When did you start playing Cottage Living? I think this visual bug just started this year, because from other players' clips until the 1st half of this year, I saw Rooster at 5 AM, and Chicken sitting and laying eggs. So, you had this bug sooner?

I had chicken around July-August and found the missing. I thought that it was only a bug in my game until I could confirm with other players that they can't see it right now either.

Sadly that this bug doesn't get fixed in the recent 150+ picked, but I hope that it will get fixed soon.

I never let the coop get dirty either, it was the actual chickens themselves that had gotten dirty. I didn't even know that was possible at first, but apparently they can get dirty and that's when I noticed I could see them again. As soon as they cleaned themselves, they disappeared again.

Also, I saw your question to a different comment about when we started playing Cottage Living. I actually bought Cottage Living the day it was released and didn't have any issues with the chickens disappearing in their clean state back then, so I can confirm that this is not normal!

I don't play with chickens in all my households and I play rotational so unfortunately I'm not sure when exactly they went missing in their clean states, but according to my screenshots folder the rooster was at least still showing up in his clean state on 10-10-2024. Meaning it's definitely a recent bug!

When I found this issue, even though I saw that other gameplay videos didn't have a problem, I worried a lot that only my save might be broken. So, after knowing that people currently have the same issue, I feel more relieved, but then I want this bug to be fixed someday.

Yes, I also only found out that there were supposed to be chicken there after seeing some videos online. Had I not seen those, I would have thought this to be the correct visual. I just got Cottage Living EP 2 months ago.

While it's nice that this laundry list has more than the usual amount of bug fix, a casual browse-through here in the forums would show that 150+ bug fix is merely the tip of the iceberg. Additionally, a lot of the bugs are not receiving attention from visitors here anymore since they are archived/comments closed to prevent "necro-posting". Like, if the bugs are not fixed after years and years, they should get more attention and discussion, not hidden. You can see a couple of the bug fixes in the 150+ tagged as [archive], those are the ones I'm talking about.

And right, they shouldn't hide the old bug reports. I saw someone complain that they can't check info about "how to fix the issues" after those archives being hidden.

What we can do is to report the bug again, in case we still have an issue. Also, revisit and update here regularly, but not too emotionally and aggressively. Just the facts and info that might be useful for them.

I will visit again after the next patch! 😌

Just tested it myself and have the same issue! So sad!! Usually I see hens on the hatchable eggs but there are none, also no roster when the sound comes in the morning, the indicated slots are always empty now :( 
On PC with all packs installed.

Thanks for helping report this! I haven't had any chance to see them because I started playing chicken just a few months ago. I want them back as soon as possible!
