[COLLECTION] Blast From the Past: Issues with specific Tasks

Update - I deleted the AccountdataDB file and started the event over. Went to the park and found Emit (he's a Sim imported from my gallery). Was able to successfully finish the first portion of the event.

WEEK 2, and Emit does not appear in the park AGAIN, nor is he in my list of known sims on my phone so I cannot call him either (I tried with several Sims who met him in Week 1).

Sadly, this time he does not appear in the relationship panel of any sim that he met in Week 1 either, so I cannot solve this by planning a stayover either (which I did in Week 1).

Maybe the cause is that my Sim only has two shards and he needs three. It's complicated.

I collected two shards, unfortunately with two Sims from the same family (one searched the bookcase, the other one the couch, etc.) - so now both Sims had one shard each. It turns out that shards cannot be transferred from one Sim to another. Oops.

So I thought I'd load a save file from before I started searching. Bad move, as the shard task started with "1/3", and I hadn't even started searching. I found two shards, but then the task disappeared, and I cannot look for another shard now.

So I went to the park with the task completed, but with only two shards, and Emit doesn't show...

So I deleted accountDataDB.package which reset the quest to the beginning of Week 2. This time I had exactly one Sim collect three shards.

But Emit still wasn't in the park. (Really. I hovered over every Sim present to read their names.)

However, I managed to find a Sim of mine who had met Emit in Week 1 and still had him in her relationship panel. So I had this Sim "Plan a Stay Over" via the panel (again), and Emit came. I switched back to my original Sim and showed Emit the shards. Happy ending (so far).

(Of course, it sucks that Emit never shows up in the park on his own.)

I viewed an object at the museum, then got the message that a shard of time was added to my sim's inventory. However, it is not there. The task panel changed to asking an elder about the time shard, but the option to ask does not appear on the social menu, presumably because I have not got the shard.  I left the  game without saving, but the events menu did not reset. So basically, the entire event is jammed for me now.

The shard of time shouldn't be added to your inventory by viewing an object in the museum. 

You should first ask the elder, then research and then you search for the shards.

Is the elder task what you currently need to do ?

During the Blast from the Past Event, I tired to use a chess table on a community lot to complete the “Exercise Your Mind While Level 2 or Higher in Logic” task. However, I was unable to do so, because the game indicated,“Sim doesn’t have permission to use this object.” But, I was ultimately able to use the chess table at my sim’s home lot.  Similar to the bug that was previously reported:
