Sims not doing actions

Ever since my game was updated to the 7/23 patch, my game is unplayable. CAS works just fine, and build buy mode works just fine as well. Then when you go to actually play the game all my sims are just frozen in place or they're constantly dancing to no music. This has happened before with a previous patch and I remember it taking weeks to be resolved.

my game was fine before this but it updated and now its broken. this happened before i think with infants and the laundry pack was what was doing it, but i dont know what it could be now

same, I thought it was only me. They just stand around dancing or having a casual discussion. They don’t do anything I tell them

I recently noticed I'll have about 4 sims who just stand around when loading into a restaurant venue lot. The staff will go to their assign jobs but my playable NPC's won't do anything on the lot. I thought they fixed restaurants but my game was working better before these recent Lovestruck patch updates. I tried to see if an autonomy mod would help in the meantime until they fix the issue but that's not working.

i completely forgot i posted this!!! i redownloaded it and it seems to be working, its like for some people updates just completely break the game, because i have two different things to play on and it was only broken on one. its always been one update breaks it then the next one fixes it, but it doesnt happen to everyone? i dont really know the cause but the only thing that works is whenever it updates again. annoying because i dont know if it will happen again!!

Having the same issues among a few other things since last update.

After the latest update my sims have been unable to route to anything. I can select an object or action for them to do. For example, I can tell my sim to use a workout machine, the skill bar appears above their head, however, the sims themselves immediately freeze in place, not routing to the object or performing the animation, they are unable to do any other action and the current action persists in their queue and does not stop until I shift-click reset them. This does not resolve the issue however, it only stops the current and queued actions. If I were to queue another action the same thing happens. This has happened with every interaction I've attempted.
I did have CC and mods in my game before the patch. I had removed all script mods prior to relaunching my game. Since the issue has begun, in an attempt to resolve it, I have removed ALL mods from my game, deleted the localthumbcache file, repaired the game, made a new save, and the issue still persists.
I don't know what to do at this point, please help.

I have a teenage sim building a school project and he's got to level 3 art so far but the project box is still unopened in front of him and he's just sitting there staring at it.

His twin brother is making apple jam and he's got to level 3 cooking but the ingredients on the chopping board are untouched and he's just standing there staring at them.

Their mother is fishing, and she's catching fish, and their other teen brother is playing violin with emotion and I think he's acting normally, but these two are not. They're not completely frozen in that they are sort of swaying in place, but that project box isn't going to get him performance at school just sitting there unopened!

It looks like the same bug that sometimes when you tell a child sim to make a drawing at the craft table, they just sit there at the table gaining creative skill but not actually progressing their drawing at all. I can't find that bug report now but I've seen that happen in my games a few times now. I know that the immediate fix is to leave the lot and come back, but that's really annoying when it means that every sim who was doing what they were meant to be doing - including the sleeping infant - will be somewhere else doing something else when I get back.

I would like this bug to not happen, please. When I tell a sim to do something, I expect them to do that thing.

Never modded or cc, on PC, lots of dlc but not the most recent stuff.

Same thing on Xbox only one character freezes all the sudden. It does it worse in my opinion when you have too many actions in the queue.

I recently made a new household to interact with my main household in my game. It consisted of seven teen spellcasters and one child spellcaster, but whenever the teens from my own household try to interact with them, they just freeze and would not respond to any commands. I mostly observed this from one teen that my other teens met through school

It's only other spellcasters I've seen it with, the teen spellcaster in my household keep getting an interaction labelled 'See What's happening' with the other spellcaster teen when I invited her over and they wouldn't preform the social interactions I was commanding, when I tried to get him to have a friendly duel with her, it wouldn't happen, I also noticed that she kept standing up and sitting back down on the couch in different spots. No matter how many times I reset her, or my own spellcaster, they would not interact properly, I managed to get them to have friendly interactions, but it wasn't consistent and also they would not have a friendly duel, no matter what I did

I initially also had this problem with the other teen in my household, who's just a normal sim, but then I noticed she could interact with the spellcaster teens perfectly fine, if they're the only spellcaster in the same room. I believe she also had the 'See What's happening' interaction with the first spellcaster teen I had invited to invited to my house, she also managed to meet more of the other spellcasters in school, and when I had her invite them over, I noticed she could interact with them fine, but my own spellcaster had trouble introducing himself to them. It took a lot of effort for him to meet the other spellcasters and then to get him out of the room so they'd stop freezing

What I found weird is that my spellcaster teen kept getting the privacy violation embarrassed moodlet when he was around the spellcaster I had invited over and when I had switched control to her household, trying to troubleshoot, I noticed all eight sims in the household all had the privacy violation embarrassed moodlets, even though none of them had bathed or use the toilet. Some had both the 'Privacy invaded' and 'Cannot unsee' moodlets, while others had just one of them. No matter what I did, I could not get them to move from their starting positions when starting the household, resetting them would just make them preform an animation in regard to their low motives, before they'd freeze again once it was done. Whenever I gave them a command, it would appear on their queue, but it would just stay there and they would not preform it

My young Adult sims, none of which are spellcasters themselves, can interact with the teen spellcasters just fine, unlike the normal teen in my household, they never had any problems interacting with the spellcasters, as long as there wasn't any other spellcasters in the room

I don't know know how this problem started as my whole household had gone to the magical realm before where I got my spellcaster a wand and a broomstick and there wasn't any problem, though I haven't visited it again since I made the new household full of spellcasters

I don't know if it has something to do with my spellcaster reaching the top level of spellcaster while still a teen, as I play with auto age turned off, so he was able to level completely up without aging into a young adult. I also don't know if it has to do with the household having no young adults or older sims, since I have the Parenthood game pack and that means the teens and child have no adults to ask advice from

I think I can make due with playing without my spellcasters interacting, but I was hoping to use my new household for my spellcaster to have duels with and I was hoping at one point to get all the new spellcasters wands of their own

The only other detail I'll provide, in case it has any significance, is that I originally made the household with all of the spellcasters being teens, but later I decided it would be more fitting for one of them to be a child instead, so I use full CAS edit to de-age him into a child

Hello, for the past few days my sim has been getting stuck when I direct any interaction. I’ve tried resetting the sim using the cheat, restarting my Xbox console multiple times and still nothing. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and found a solution? 

sims are refusing to do any task they just stand there!!!!!! or they do something else that i didnt tell them to do

I just experienced that with a random sim townie, who got stuck idling in my sims' home. 

I try to get my sim who is a fairy, I try to get them to do certain things like go to bed, have a bath etc and she just stands there and do nothing. Not sure if it is a bug but I have noticed this has been happening for a while. I have save and exit the main menu then I come back and she is fixed temporarily. It happens again after 10-30 mins. It is getting annoying because I need her needs to be fixed but she refuses to do so. She also tries to go to the bath automatically but it does not work. She is able to go into the fairy house but that is about it. 

Could you please provide the following information

-  Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
-  Does this happen both on human or fairy form ?

No mods or CC and it happens to both. Not only that it has been happening to several sims, sometimes when I invite them over or do an event.
