Did you change anything about the lots when you tried a new save or tried with the original lots/families ?
In the new game I first tried build on the empty lot, but it freezed. I wasnť able to change anything with the lots. I didn't change the families there, I just tried to visit them, with my sim I started the game with. I tried to replace a build on a lot with empty lot, because I could do that without entering build mode, but the game again freezed.
