young adult sim still has romance bar with teen sim after aging up

My teen sim was dating a few different teens before they found their partner. When my teen sim aged up to young adult the romance bar remained with the the teen sims who did not age up and under relationship they could ask to be just friends. In the past before the last update when teens aged up it automatically erased any romance with younger teens This happened even if they aged up at same time or right after each other it was just easier to rebuild the romance with the sim they had dated as a teen. I did mot check to see if any romance interactions are available because the whole thing creeped me out to have a adult interact with a teen in that manner. I play on Xbox so no mods or CC.
