Cannot connect to EA
Since the last DLC Update I can't connect to EA. When I start the game Iit says "Connecting to EA" but nothing happens and the login dialog is not shown. The only thing I can do is to skip the acce...

Hi, I just reinstalled the game thru Steam on a new computer after a one year brake. Previously having about 369 hours played on my older computer. Symtom is identical stopping at the signing in to EA account screen in-game and it just keeps on trying to connect forever. For instance local play works as expected if I by-pass it but seemingly no connection to EA servers.
All Windows 24H2 updates installed as of KB5053656. WRC game files are verified by Steam. The WRC app is granted access in the Windows Firewall and no other security related software is running. I have 2FA active on my EA account. Note that I can't find any setting for signing out and back in or to specify an EA account in-game which might resolve the issue if it's related to 2FA and neither tried disabling 2FA on EA website.
Log into your EA account and check if it’s linked to your steam account. That’s what determines which EA account the game tries to connect to after being launched through steam.
It has helped me and other to disable the 2FA auth, so give it a shot, if you want to get access to online features before EA fixes the issue. It doesn’t seem very highly prioritised…
