Fanatec DD+ Extreme Not Working On PS5

For some reason this fault was reported over a year ago, it's still not fixed, and the original report thread has been moved to the archive section.

Fanatec DD+ Xtreme not recognized | EA Forums - 8348433

This is an official PS5 wheelbase so please sort the input mapping for the DD+ Extreme wheel.

Currently the game is unplayable for any users of this wheelbase and has been for over a year.

I found two workarounds for this issue. Both are expensive if you didn't previously have them.  They aren't ideal and we shouldn't really have to do this.  I previously had the CSL WRC rim for my CSL DD so I upgraded that to QR2 so it would work on Clubsport DD+ DD Extreme. Go into the game first with a controller and go into the controls section and delete your previous wheels. The the wheelbase needs to be in PS4 mode (light blue) press power button a few times until you get to it. Game should work fine but the wheel will be held back to 8nm. To me it still feels stronger than my CSL DD probably because it's now a holding torque of 8nm.

Other solution that will work with the DD Extreme wheel is to buy a Ras1ution 2 for PS5/PS4 should be the blue one; it costs $100-130.00. Make sure wheelbase is PS4 (light blue) press power button a few times until you get to it. Connect wheel usb to raslution 2 usb slot 1 then connect raslution to PS5. Select ps5 as the console on the raslution. You can adjust a few settings on the raslution 2 if you feel like it. In EA WRC the wheel will show up as a Logitech G29.

Out of these two options the CSL WRC wheel feedback feels more natural. The raslution option isn't bad though and is definitely playable.

    Same issue here.

Device:- Fanatec 15Nm DD+ GT Extreme Wheel

It's an officially licenced PS5 wheel so EA WRC need to do better with this, especially as Fanatec sponsor for the WRC

The base is incorrectly recognised as a 5Nm/8Nm GT DD Pro Wheel.

Please understand the difference between the wheel bases as they are totally different.

CSL GT DD Pro 5Nm/8Nm - Works fine.

    DD+ GT Extreme 15Nm - BROKEN

Throttle/Brake work, and steering recognised OK, but.....

    No Force Feedback

No menu control (need to use PS5 controller for menu work)

    No paddle shift

    No handbrake

Buttons show up in the calibration tab when you press them but they don't register as presses in game and you can't map them.

This happens in each of the 3 playstation modes this wheel has.

My Xbox WRC wheel works in PS4 compatibility mode (light blue) light on wheelbase, but I first have to delete the other wheel profiles that were recognized in the other modes.
