Your EA Forums Profile, Avatar & Settings

Make the most of your time here by customizing your settings!

Your account name will show up in the top right of the page when you’re logged in. If you want to manage your profile settings click this name in the top right, then choose My Settings.
You can also just click this this link!

Within the Settings page, you’ll find 4 options.

• Personal is focused on Account details. Choose your avatar and optionally fill out some details about yourself. If you need to change your name, check the steps here. 
• You can set how discussions are laid out and how your date and time will display in the Preferences tab
• Follows & Notifications is self-explanatory, and you can find more detail here.
• Security & Account is where you can change your password and make various other changes, as well as getting a copy of your community data.

Choosing your Avatar

To pick your avatar, click on the pen/edit icon from the placeholder avatar on your settings>personal page, then pick from the drop-down list.

Badges

Earn badges for participation and show them off. They’re earned for milestones like posting and login thresholds, as well as for activity during launches, with a small few having secret triggers. If you go to your profile, there's an option to view all badges in the top right of the page. 

Ranks and Leveling up

As you participate on the forum, you might find yourself leveling up. To level up, chat with others, give and receive likes, explore the community, and engage how you like. If you get a Solution post, this can also help with leveling up. This progression is entirely cosmetic and is just used to show activity levels. How to find the forum rules

Getting by on the forum without breaking rules is fairly intuitive:  Be respectful, constructive and authentic, and you’ll be ok. However we have of course formalized them, if you have any doubts, check this article for more specifics.
