📓[GUIDE] Basic steps for game issues

There are a few simple troubleshooting steps you can try in your game if your Sims show strange behavior.

Try the following steps in order if your Sim has shows any weirdness. Issues can often be cleared up with these.

Use the cheat resetsim <firstname> <lastname> to reset a particular Sim in your town. You won't loose any progress, all it does is put the Sim to a safe location from where he can start acting again. You can also use testingcheats and shift-click on the Sim and use debug (Object).
Go traveling
Go to Manage world and move your Sim out of his home and then back into the same one. If you have money troubles, use the cheat freerealestate.

Restart the game or the computer
Load a backup game.
Start a new game to see if the error is only happening in the current save game. Make sure to completely close down your game before starting a different game. Not just go to the main menu.
Start the game with Load instead of Resume
Start the game in windowed mode
