The Munster Legacy - Occult Legacy Challenge
Hi everyone! I've been a member on the forums for years, but I've never actually posted anything. But I've been writing a legacy challenge story that I'm really proud of, and I thought I'd share. I've just started making and playing my decades challenge on youtube and the rules are too long for the description box. I figured here would be the perfect place to put them so I can link to them. It's still a work in progress (particularly the last 3 decades), but here goes. You start in the 1890's (I downloaded a bunch of appropriate clothing just to add to the feel) and I wanted to show the changing world in real time, which means the challenge starts out with some limits to marriage in regards to race and gender. Each new decade starts with the children growing into young adults (or teens if you prefer) 1890’s May only marry within their ethnicity May only marry and have a relationship with opposite gender Outside toilets No electricity (Lighting is a problem here, use candles or lanterns) Must always ‘try for a baby’ no just woohooing Girls born may only have the creativity bonus Women take care of the children and tidy the house, may help garden Female children may only move out once married. 112 Day Challenge ~ Kathy Ragsdale I need to thank texansky for rescuing the original rules for the 112 Day Challenge and I am going to link to them for anyone curious or interested, because she added some important notes below the original rules. 112 Day Challenge Rules Over time I have adapted some rules to better suit my desired gameplay and the Sims I have as Challengers. It is important to remember that as a player you are building a Sim you intend to use in the game after their Challenge is complete. Stay true to your Sim as much as the Challenge. "Get to Know" your Sim during the Challenge and that will impact how you view that Sim when you encounter them later in another Save ... Create that Connection as well as developing the Sim. Rule Adaptations for Kathy Ragsdale Challenge Lot Size ... In the initial rules I limited the lot size to encourage behaviors and lower lot cost as well as bills. Since then, I have allowed larger lots with more vegetation in attempts to make the lot more aesthetically appealing and to reduce starting money available as well as slightly increase the bills. Note ... This makes starting the Challenge a little harder. I initially limited the lot size and required a parking spot to discourage Challengers from simply Gardening for the majority of their Challenge. That's not necessary if your challenging Sim intends to be a Gardener or Nectar Maker after the Challenge. However ... Note that Gardening is not available all the time in three of the four seasons and it consumes a lot of time if it is a sole means of monetary production. Currently, Kathy Ragsdale's lot is 30x40 - 9 Cottonwood Ct. ~ Hidden Springs. With all the adjustments, added landscaping, and a few items it costs 13,416 simoleons. Note that adding trees and bushes, landscaping timbers, and fencing increases the price and value of the lot. That will affect your Challenger's starting money and bills. Parking Spot and Car Rule ... The same as lot size, the rule was added to tailor behaviors and limit space. It's not necessary if it doesn't match your Challenger and you still attempt the Challenge in good faith. Kathy Ragsdale didn't want a car and wanted a bicycle instead. Items Rule ... I added two more items to the Items Allowed, for function more than anything else. I used 'buydebug' to put a chest from World Adventures on the lot. It doesn't make the Challenge any easier and it will slightly increase the price of the lot. It was added because your Challenger's Inventory can get cluttered during the Challenge, and the extra storage space is welcome. I also allow my Challengers to keep the camera (ChannonTech Outlaw SE) each Sim may have in their inventory when they start the Challenge. The Challenger is also allowed to sell the University Bucket (20 simoleons) and the Time Portal (725 simoleons) if and when they appear on the Challenger's lot. Town and Community Lots Rule (new) ... It doesn't matter what Town or Community Lots you use as long as the Lots are set prior to starting the Challenge. Community Lots cannot be adjusted, added to, or upgraded after the Challenge starts, unless the Challenger purchases the lot and makes improvements out of their bank account. Now that the basics are covered, let's see how Kathy handles her first week in the Challenge ... Good luck to those that attempt the Challenge and as always ... Happy Simming ... 💖105Views1like9CommentsPerfect Genetics Challenge
My new video series - Perfect Genetics Challenge - is now available for viewing on YouTube. https://youtu.be/iQUhw5SbutM This video is a little over 16 minutes. It is an introduction to my founder, Olivia. We first meet her in Create a Household. We see her first home and job. She meets her man and they start getting to know each other. This challenge ought to be colourful. Not only does Olivia have blue, purple, pink and yellow hair but she has a very pale blue skin and pinkish purple eyes. The challenge requires her to produce an heir, male or female, who has the exact same hair and eye colour. Once the heir is confirmed, the mother will concentrate on living her life until the heir is old enough to take on the challenge. There is no upper limit to the number of babies she might have to produce before the heir arrives. Consequently I've set the age spans to be reasonably long but will use cake to age the family up as required. I plan to stop the mother from having more babies once it is confirmed the heir has been born. The heir will age up from toddler to child when they have done all of their toddler skills. And from Child to Teen after completing all of the child skills and getting onto the honour roll at school. The teen will age up to young adult after they have been to a prom and have learned fishing and cooking skills and read all of the fishing and recipe books. This means they'll need to get to level 7 in fishing and level 10 in cooking before I will let them age up to Young Adult. They may learn other skills along the way and need to be at least A Grade students. If they haven't learned the required skills and done the required reading within 105 days they'll age up automatically. When the heir is about the age up to Young Adult, hopefully the day before the teen is ready to age up to young adult, I'll age the parents up to Adult. The Adult life stage is also quite long just in case the mother automatically ages up to adult before she has produced the heir. The Elder life stage is also long. Babies will need grandparents around for a while. I may reduce the length of the Elder life stage at some point if the elders are accumulating. Moonlit Falls is full of supernaturals and I won't worry about when that population ages up. I'll be using EA Story Progression so if the town population ages up very slowly maybe there will still be sims around town by the time my founder's descendants start moving into the general townie population. All babies born to the founder and her heirs will have randomised traits with the one exception that each heir must have the dislikes children trait. There are no restrictions on how the main household earns their income. They can go out collecting, or gardening or whatever they choose. I will be getting them the no bills ever lifetime reward asap because I have a bad habit of forgetting about the bills and have difficulty working out what the repo man has taken. Due to the lack of restrictions on how they earn/come by their money the game will have many and varied activities in it throughout this challenge. One of the first wishes my founder got is to travel to Egypt to buy a recipe book. I do plan to grant that wish soon. Perhaps she can go there on her honeymoon. She has already met her man. I made him specially for her. She's blue with purple and blue hair, he's green with green hair and eyes. But their skin colouring is subtle. I think that about covers it. I hope you decide to watch. I'm keeping the length of these episodes to around 10 to 15 minutes each. Please consider subscribing if you are going to watch the videos as that way you'll know whenever a new episode is posted.3.5KViews4likes153CommentsThe Thalasarre Trapped Legacy
Just looking for a place to dump my sim's stories as they go through this arbitrarily difficult challenge I made for them. I've already gotten through the hardest parts, because I didn't think to put this somewhere when I started. Ah well, next time. Meet the Thalasarres: From left to right let's get you introduced to the Thalasarre family! Left is Elise, the current generation heir and controlled sim (I play whims only on the non-heir). Then Maribel, her step-mom, who is a best selling author who's a little bit famous for her novels. Then Rigel, our legacy founder and Elise's father. Lastly, Orion, Elise's half-brother and Maribel's son. As it stands in the challenge, I have unlocked a lot of the rules already (this is a custom apocalypse-style challenge), but we still have lots of legacy to go! So Elise is the product of a relationship that Rigel had before Maribel that was pretty rocky. Her mother announced the pregnancy to Rigel around the same time he was getting engaged to Maribel, and he had joint custody, so he had Elise stay over every other weekend from the time she was a toddler. Elise has a very close relationship with her entire family, but opted to move in with her dad once she entered high school. She is a popular B student, a cheer leader, really into yoga and ceramics, and plans to have her own yoga studio (with a ceramics gift shop) below her family's residence. Her current focus is getting all her goals accomplished in high school. And her crush, Davis. She really hopes they go to prom together. And it's not really a secret, though she never has her wings out, but she's a Fairy sim (on her mom's side) and loves to help remove negative emotions from her friends and soothe savage beasts. She hopes she can help many people in her lifetime with her abilities. She also loves to help take care of Orion. Ever since she moved in, her father and step-mom just aren't as attentive (because I'm only directing them when it's a whim, mostly autonomy!) so Elise has been stepping in to make sure Orion gets to bed on time and some nutritious food. Speaking of her parents... just seems like their marriage has taken a huge hit since she moved in. It all started when her mom decided she needed to stay over to help out for a few days, and she caused a HUGE fight between Maribel and Rigel. They just haven't recovered. Elise has been trying to influence them both to be more in the mood for love, hoping that will change things, but so far they've resisted her influence. I'll use this thread to update on their progress. Elise is very fun to play! The rules are kind of crazy but I'll try to only mention what's needed to understand the drama 😂 Happy simming!12Views0likes0CommentsWorld Legacy Stories
I started the world legacy in 2019 because I had hard times to play legacy challenges without abandoning them after 3 or 4 generations. So I decided to bend the rules and mix them with rags to riches: What if each generation has to start over, from scratch in another world and use skills and systems implemented in the pack, in which the world comes from, to succeed in their lives? I'm now at my 18th Generation and it's still going. I have no real rules but I set goals for each generation so I could balance storyline and goal-oriented challenge. Current Family Tree: Generation 1 to 18 goals and backstories: Legacy Heirs: Update: gen 19 storyline template is added😊774Views5likes15CommentsNatural Living Challenge
i once made a challenge in "Mod The Sims" i'd like to pick up in here (i'm inactive for like 3 years there now) and here are the challenge i used to make but never picked it up the challenge used to be called "Gardening Challenge" but i think "Natural Living Challenge" match much better since we have Enchanted By Nature since 2 months now (i'll update the rules soon since it's outdated now since i made this back in like 2021) rules: -You have to live in an empty lot -You starts with 0 simoleons -Has the loves outdoors traits -Loves gardening -Loves fishing -Loves Natural Living -No electricity and technology is allowed -Work/Job that has to do with gardening by 1,000 simoleons❌ (newspaper is needed since no electricity and technology is allowed, by so far we don't have the newspaper yet) -Has a freelance botanist aspiration -Earn money by gardening -Building the skills up -Not allowed to visit strangers -Toilet, hygiene, etc. is allowed in public areas -Must sleep in a tent-Must go fishing -You need to Naturally take care for the plants -Money trees are not allowed -No sprinklers -Reach the highest amount in all plants -Having children are allowed -Marriage or engagement is not allowed -Seed any plant -You have to complete the botanist aspiration goal -You're not allowed to move out -You may not place objects on your lot, only the items that are found outside of your lot like seeds -Teens can go to school but Kids must go to school to avoid falling and being taken away by a social worker -couples from the same gender can't adopt kids (due because you have to use your phone or computer which technology isn't allowed) -Must max-out the "Natural Living" skills -Must max-out the "Gardening" skills -Must max-out the "Fishing" Skills End goal: collecting each plants by study it to investigate them (to be seen in a notebook) i almost forgot about that challenge but then i needed some inspirations and remembered "oh yeah i made a challenge years back" and i never ever picked it up once i tried that self-made challenge in The Sims 4😅😅 (it was harder than i thought, that's why i'm gonna update this challenge soon) (if something just like that exist, it can be merged but i've wanted to share the challenge i once used to make) any thoughts before i add more? (i want to test it first before my challenge murder your sims unless you want to get rid of that sim of yours on purpose😅😅) it's a bit similar to "Off-The-Grid Challenge" but differently, even my own version technology and electricity isn't allowed for obvious reasons! i added a few things ever since i've posted this so feel free to share your feedbacks in the comments i recommend getting Enchanted By Nature to make the challenge a little easier [CM - Edited for formatting/CAPS]177Views1like3CommentsAlphabet SuperLegacy Challenge Rules
Updated for Enchanted by Nature. This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have a thread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it was very hard to update further. Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed two of the letters (Q, Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change up which three are in play. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation, unless they don't have two aspirations. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be a toddler, so you will need to give them at least one parent. Welcome to BNS 195: Back to School! The morning sun cuts across the sleek lines of your desk as the door swings open. A trio of clients steps inside, each representing a rapidly growing neighborhood in dire need of educational infrastructure. They’ve come with blueprints, hopes, and a healthy dose of design drama. First to speak is Councilman Ignacio Pancakes, gesturing to renderings of a vibrant, kid-friendly campus. “Landgraab Elementary is bursting at the seams! We need a new space—bright, playful, and structured to support the curiosity of early learners. Can you design a school that nurtures imagination as much as education?” Then strides in Principal Johnny Zest, tossing down a folder marked 'Plumbob High'. “We’re preparing teens for tomorrow, but our current high school feels like yesterday. We’re talking labs, auditoriums, sports fields—something sleek and inspirational. Think you can capture teenage ambition in bricks and mortar?” Finally, the chair of the Newcrest Planning Board unrolls an ambitious proposal. “Why settle for one? What if we built the future? A full K–12 campus—modern, unified, tailored to all ages. The Newcrest Horizon School would be a flagship of education in Sim Nation. Care to rise to the challenge?” The Brief: Choose one of the three proposed projects and design a school that meets the needs of its community. Any lot size. Landgraab Elementary – Capacity: 8–12 children Features: At least 4 classrooms, cafeteria, library, art room, outdoor play area Style: Whimsical, modern suburban Budget: §120,000 Plumbob High School – Capacity: 10–15 teens Features: Science & computer labs, auditorium, gymnasium, cafeteria, library, faculty lounge. Style: Contemporary institutional or Brutalist flair Bonus: Drama room or rooftop hangout for storytelling. Budget: §175,000 Newcrest Horizon K–12 – Cohesive, multi-age campus of the future Capacity: 20+ Sims across child and teen age groups Features: Zoned areas for elementary and high school levels, shared cafeteria, gym, library, and green spaces Style: Futuristic or eco-conscious. Bonus: Include a dorm for out-of-town students. Budget: §250,000 As always, each building requires landscaping! Optional: Pick a mascot for your school. The Sim challenge: Create some faculty members for your chosen school - a principal and at least one teacher minimum. You can choose all of their names, traits, preferences, etc. Show all of their outfits. The Room challenge: Design a cozy, stylish faculty lounge—but don’t stop there. Embed a secret. Something odd, mysterious, or emotionally loaded that only faculty know about. Must have comfortable seating for at least three sims, a food or drink station. Include decor that nods to faculty personalities - a favorite book, a stray soccer ball, awards, posters. But the room has a secret - what that is is up to you, be it a message board with cryptic messages, a locked closet no one can find the key to, or something else. Remember to include the hashtag #bns195 with your build so it can be found.
