I started a new challenge called Desolation Town which is a combo of Rags to Riches and a renovation challenge. The idea is to start with one sim and play for a certain time frame (24 sim hours). The rest of the town generates itself and then you play each house in a rotation. When I started this challenge I couldn't post to any forums (old one was shut down and the new one wouldn't let me log in). First I wiped out my whole town and townies and built an abandoned town with wonderful dilapidated buildings from the gallery. You can check out the playlist here: Rules: -Start with one sim or family. -Enable Neighborhood Stories. You can enable as many of the challenges as you want. I disabled all the adoption ones as I didn't want a gazillion dogs, cats, babies and toddlers. -While playing with your household allow the empty houses to be filled. -Play with each new family in rotation for 24 sim hours and then move on to the next one. Each household starts with $0 money. -Each time you play a household remove 25 pieces of trash or overgrown yard. You can keep the money from sold items (we sold them on Social Bunny Marketplace). Once your house and yard are cleaned up you can start renovating or cleaning up the public spaces. -Your sim cannot get a job unless they have autonomously got one on their own. If your sim hasn't found a job on their own, work on their aspirations. -Keep playing until all your houses are renovated and the town is fixed. Welcome to BNS 188: Winter Designer Showdown It’s winter again, and time for another Winter Designer Showdown! The world has turned to ice, and so have your sims. Build an Ice Palace for your sims to shelter in. The ice palace can be as large or small as you like, on any lot. Be as whimsical or realistic as you like, just remember to make the builds functional. Because it’s an ice palace, the requirement to take snapshots in summer is waived—show us your builds in all their frozen, snow-covered glory. Those without Seasons can use white flooring or terrain paints to simulate snow and evergreens in the landscaping. Have fun creating a magical winter wonderland! The Brief: Budget: No budget Lot size: Any Build an Ice Palace. It can be as big as you want, with as many floors as you like. The exterior should reflect the icy theme with white, ice blue, pale gray, or a combination of these colors. Use a winter color palette for the interior. Think shades of blue, white, silver, and gray to create a cozy yet frosty atmosphere.. The landscaping should be winter-themed. Take inspiration from northern or arctic areas, incorporating elements like snow-covered trees, ice sculptures, and frosty plants. Ensure that the builds are functional for your sims to live in. This includes having all necessary rooms and amenities. Tips: Use cool-toned lighting to enhance the icy atmosphere. Remember to include the hashtag #bns188 with your build or it will not be judged! Thought I would start a traditional 100 baby challenge inspired by other baby challenges, but this one has a twist, you must marry your forever sim and stay with them till death and try to have at least 6 babies per generation till your sim and their generation gets to 100 Babies the old fashioned way!! I wrote up a little set of rules to follow along with. I may not post everything here but I wanted to just add the sim and who he/she is marrying at the time and how far along I've gotten. It will be a very slow play-through and will take a long time for me to complete so this is more so a look-back area for the things I've done within this challenge.. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bo_LjUpW_gT6IwmLeInAOwH-_bs54HJdcSULSgJP6dA/edit?usp=sharing Meet Kolby West He is marrying Nalani Mahi'Ai and their Generation will start here!! Overtime, I'll add to this post to expand the Table of Contents and make it easier to access the chapters. Table of Contents Use the links in the Table of Contents to read the chapters in order. The links are working and will take you straight to a chapter. This should save people the trouble of scrolling through the thread. Eventually, I plan on trying to put the "Meet the MerSims" Section in the comments of this thread along with the chapters. I am adding links to each of my posts to help with navigation. The Little Merman Arc Chapter 1: The Shadow of the Sea Witches Chapter 2: Swimming to Zalia Grottos Chapter 3: Life's Full of Tough Choices Chapter 4: A Change in the Tides Chapter 5: The Embers of Love Merfolk of the Sulani Seas Lore My merfolk won't die from old age, and I'll be following many rules for my merfolk outlined in the following link. I expect that it could be easier to cheer for a specific character since they won't disappear anytime soon. Merfolk of the Sulani Seas Technical Details SimLit Tips in the New Forums One of the things I noticed when the new forums were created was that not everything transferred here looking the way it was supposed to. I opted out of having my story transferred for me and took a great deal of time working through a lot of troubleshooting to find the easiest way to share longer posts. In the comments of this thread, I had a great deal of help from the community as I worked on transferring chapters from Answers HQ. Now that the transfer to the new forums is complete, I think I found the best way to get around the Forums tendency to Auto-Refresh the webpage and erase all progress instead of saving it. My suggestion is in the following link. I will update it with any other findings and suggestions can be shared there so everyone can benefit from them. It's possible this has been fixed while I was away, but I think this suggestion can still be helpful. SimLit Posting Suggestion after Troubleshooting Meet the MerSims Overtime, each character profile for each pod will be updated as new members of the pod are added. As an added bonus, if there is a pod you like to follow, readers can now make replies to specific pods as I move them from this post. The links should make getting to the desired section easier. Meet the Zalrian Pod Meet the Marus Pod The Vatore Pod Caleb Vatore Caleb is Damion's Life Partner and the Patriarch of the Vatore Pod. Caleb was one of the few good vampires that protected humans. After an incident with Vampire Hunters, he lost his life protecting Damion. His untimely demise was not something Damion could accept, and Caleb was resurrected the only way Damion could bring him back. Caleb was reborn as a merman, and like all reef and reborn merfolk, he does not have a human form he can use to return to his life on land. Caleb has embraced his new life as a merman, but he still wants peace between humans and the magic realm. After becoming a merman, Caleb learned some merfolk history from his husband. Almost all the merfolk were driven away from Sulani ages ago by humans that couldn't tell the difference between Malevolent and Benevolent Merfolk. It seemed that the entire merfolk race was on the losing end of a very old conflict with humans. Up until now, he thought the conflict between humans and vampires was the oldest conflict between humans and the magic realm. The Merfolk around Sulani are what the Vampires would become if they continued down their dark path. As a merman, Caleb wants to see the return of merfolk to Sulani and desires peace between the land and sea. More than anything, he dreams of the day his husband returns to what he was before that fateful night. What Damion became didn't escape Caleb's notice, his once kind and loving husband became consumed by something dark after bringing him back from death. Still, Caleb holds onto the hope that Damion will find his way back to the light. He still believes that there is good in him. Even though he knows this is a dream, he refuses to give up on hope. Caleb believes that one day he will see Damion as he remembers him. For now, the days of laying on the shore together remain a distant dream he thinks about, wishes for. Even after everything the humans did to him as a Vampire, he does not hold a grudge against them, and he longs for the day that Damion let's go of his hatred. Damion Vatore Damion is one of the six Guardians of the Seas and a merman born with a natural talent for Sea Sorcery. He mastered the art of Sea Sorcery and can brew every potion and conjure any spell. Many years ago, Damion rescued Caleb Vatore from an ill fate at sea. Damion fell in love with Caleb in that moment. He didn't know Caleb was a vampire, and the merman didn't know about the humans that were actively hunting vampires. For Damion, he never cared enough about the human world to interact with it to begin with. Over time, Caleb fell in love with Damion. While Damion couldn't be on land with Caleb, the two of them met close to the sea. After several dates, the two learned a lot about each other. Damion treasured every moment he had with Caleb. Caleb enjoyed the escape from the shadows vampires dwelled in. During one of their shoreline meetings, Damion learned about how Caleb ended up sinking below the waves. Caleb was among the few good vampires that didn't want to harm humans. A group of evil vampires revealed Caleb's location to Vampire Hunters. The Vampire Hunters didn't know the difference between good and evil vampires, and the coven of evil vampires manipulated them to get rid of the vampires that protected humans. Damion didn't really care too much about the plight of humans. However, Caleb convinced Damion to give them the benefit of the doubt. The merman was moved by his boyfriend's desire to protect humans. Unfortunately, their meetings by the shore were discovered by the Vampire Hunters. The Humans in question didn't even know they were doing the bidding of the very vampires they swore to defeat. When they found Damion and Caleb, Caleb sacrificed himself to give Damion a chance to escape. Caleb promised Damion that he would escape and that they would see each other again. Caleb knew that Damion was too vulnerable on land. Reluctantly, Damion dove into the sea. That evening, the Vampire Hunters brought an end to Caleb. The following days, Damion came close to the shore, looking for Caleb. One night, he heard humans on a pier talking about their victory over the "evil" vampire and how they got a vacation out of it too. Upon hearing this, Damion was consumed by sorrow and hatred. His hatred of humans was born that day, and his sorrow drove him to dive into the depths of Dark Sea Sorcery. Eventually, Damion gathered what he needed to bring Caleb back as a merman. This came at a great personal cost to Damion. The merman's heart was twisted by the darkness he embraced. Damion's eyes lost their sea blue color as the dark magic consumed him. His pendent that marked him as a Guardian of the Sea lost its purple hue, turning obsidian black. Damion grew more obsessed with Sea Sorcery and became the Sea Witch other merfolk feared. And despite his crumbling reputation, many poor unfortunate mer came to him seeking spells. Dark Sea Sorcery allowed Damion to grant their wishes, permanently. While he could always dispel a contract and undo the magic. He never did. For better or for worse, his clients got their wishes with permanent consequences. Only Damion could release them from the contracts that bound the magic, but the Sea Witch coveted everything he collected. Even after Caleb was brough back and the two of them partnered for life, Damion continued to slip deeper into his dark magic. Alexander Goth Ukupanipo Hekekia Ukupanipo was a poor unfortunate soul that made a deal with Damion. He sought the heart of a mermaid that did not share his feelings. Damion was happy to help a fellow merperson, but his magic came at a price that Ukupanipo couldn't pay. Ukupanipo has lost his free will and is bound to Damion by the contract he signed. Ukupanipo has since turned to the darker side of the sea and serves Damion faithfully. He neither feels the warmth of love nor is he bothered by what is asked of him by Damion. The Vatore Pod Social Structure The Vatore Pod's Patriarchal Line of Succession In the Vatore Pod, the Patriarch Heirs are always mermen, and the line of succession is determined by age. This is kinda like a legacy, but the heirs do not become the Patriarch until after something happens to the current patriarch. A pod's Patriarch or Matriarch does not need a specific tail. While Alexander is technically adopted into the pod and not related by blood to Caleb, he is able to become the patriarch of the Vatore Pod. As a cursed merman and Damion's servant, Ukupanipo doesn't have any claim to becoming a Patriarch of this pod. Current Patriarch: Caleb Vatore First Heir: Damion Vatore Second Heir: Alexander Goth The Purple Tail Guardian of the Sea Line of Succession The Line of Succession for becoming a Guardian of the Sea is different from the Line of Succession for becoming a Pod Patriarch or Matriarch. The Six Guardians of the Sea possess voices that resonate with the primordial song that brought the first merfolk into existence. A Guardian of the Seas is always a merman. If a Merman meets the following conditions, an existing Guardian can pass their powers onto them. Must be a Merman or Merboy Must have the same tail color as the Current Guardian Must be a Reef Merman/Merboy Share the same Bloodline Potential Purple Tail Guardians Thanks to Damion's magic, Alexander Goth inherited Damion's Purple Tail and shares the Purple Tail Guardian Bloodline. The Patriarch of his Pod is Caleb and none of their children will inherit Damion's Purple Tail. Instead, their children will inherit Caleb's Orange Tail. Consequently, none of Damion's Children born from him and Caleb will be able to inherit the Powers of the Purple Tail Guardian. However, the descendants of Alexander Goth could potentially inherit the Purple Tail Guardian Bloodline. That will depend on his potential partner. Damion Vatore (Current Purple Tail Guardian) Alexander Goth The Keahloha Pod Makoa Keahloha A premade I added to my rotational gameplay. Unlike how he is in a new save, I made him a merman. Not just a human turned into a merman. In my story, he's 100% a natural born merman from the sea. This also means that his Ambitious trait was replaced with the Clumsy Trait, and I changed his aspiration to the Super Parent one. He still retains his core attributes though. He's active and family oriented. Additionally, Makoa fills the role as the Patriarch of his own pod, another small pod. Kai, Lano, and Tero Keahloha Kai was born in game. Lano and Tero were created in CAS to complete the triplet trio. Kai is an Innovator, Lano is a comedian, and Tero is dedicated to the arts. Their story will be just beginning and there will be updates to their character bios in the future. The Keahloha Pod Social Structure The Keahloha Pod's Patriarchal Line of Succession In the Keahloha Pod, the Patriarch Heirs are always mermen, and the line of succession is determined by age. This is kinda like a legacy, but the heirs do not become the Patriarch until after something happens to the current patriarch. A pod's Patriarch or Matriarch does not need a specific tail. Current Patriarch: Makoa Keahloha First Joint Heirs: Kai, Lano, and Tero Keahloha The Maelstren Pod Stevie Maelstren Because the Maelstren Pod was organized around a Patriarch, the males within the pod were used as a tool by other members of the pod to gain power. Much of the conflict was centered around the Patriarchal Line of Succession until the pod was no more. After the Maelstren Pod was scattered and destroyed from internal conflict, Stevie lost contact with the other remaining members of his pod, Lir and Calden. Lir Maelstren is Stevie's cousin, and Calden is Stevie's little brother. Stevie was the next in line to become the Patriarch of the Maelstren Pod once the conflict ended. Stevie saved Calden and Lir from the Maelstren Pod conflict, but along the way, he got separated from them and was never able to find them again. While Lir was adopted by the Zalrian Pod, Calden's whereabouts are still unknown. The Merman, Merboy, and Merling managed to survive the pod's destruction by staying away from the conflict. Originally, Stevie wanted to restore the Maelstren Pod. For that to happen, he needed to find a life partner, settle down, and locate his little brother and cousin. When Stevie fell in love with a mermaid, his heart was broken after learning of her betrayal. Torn up by a broken heart, he gave up on restoring his pod. Depressed and alone, he went to Damion for a way to escape his heartache and live a new life. Damion offered to grant him a human form in exchange for the Love in Stevie's Heart. Thinking he had nothing to lose, Stevie sacrificed his ability to find love again in exchange for the ability to take human form permanently. Stevie now lives a life between the land and sea. He's incapable of finding love again, but the loss of Love in his Heart did not corrupt him. Over many decades, Stevie adjusted to life in the human world and learned how to blend in with them. While he lives out his days on land, he always returns to his home in the sea. Among the islanders, Stevie is a known fire dancer and bartender. None of the other humans know he's a merman, and for the most part, he's begun to live a quiet and peaceful life on land. Many humans have fallen for his looks and charm, but the love is always one sided. While Stevie doesn't seek out romance of any kind, he's often hearing the troubles of humans that buy a drink from him. He's learned how to help others through their troubles. Calden Maelstren The Maelstren Pod Social Structure The Mordero Pod Camilo Mordero Anika Briones Ronen Mendez The Mordero Pod Social Structure More pods to be added in the future. Sul sul fellow simmers! The Miller Legacy is my first Legacy Challenge and the way I found to explore the (for me) new The Sims 4 game in the moment I decided to buy it. It's the translation of what I originally posted in Italian here, and the new chapters are being posted on my blog here. I'd also like to point out that this legacy is currently being shared also on the parallel Sim Creative forum. This small forum has practically the same template as the old one and is not buggy, making it a very cozy place where to share the old conversations we used to have in the former Creative corner. I suggest you to give it a look! ;) Back to the introduction, with this legacy I'm basically novelizing what happens when I'm playing my game, introducing as many mysteries and issues to overcome for my sims as I can. For sure, the Miller's are not a family like the others. I'm not a fan of too strict gaming rules, thus my main rule is just: "reach generation 10 without cheating". This legacy is definitively more story-driven than rules-driven. So I'm not taking track of points in any way, often instead of choosing traits or careers randomly I choose what I think would be funnier for me to play or better for the story progression, I often move the family to new houses (not built by me because I'm a horrible builder) and so forth. In particular, I'm taking a lot of freedom about a certain cat, but also in that case I found a way for doing it without technically being cheating. As for the heir, I don't follow a strict rule but just choose the one for which I can imagine the best character development and who can give more in terms of story progression. The only rule I'm following in that sense is that I want every heir to be the biological child of the previous heir, because I'm curious to see how the genetics algorithm in TS4 work over a 10 generations span (consider this as a small experiment :P ). The full story index (beware, it's long!) can be found HERE. I'm closing this premise here because I don't want to spoil the story, so I wish you a pleasant reading through the most mysterious sides of this game ;)11KViews3likes752CommentsAlphabet SuperLegacy Challenge Rules
Updated for Life & Death. This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have a thread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it was very hard to update further. Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed three of the letters (Q,U,Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change up which three are in play. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation, unless they don't have two aspirations. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be very young, so you will need to give them at least one parent. Hey guys, I have written the Asylum Challenge for The Sims 4! I took the challenge from The Sims 3 and re-wrote it to make sense in The Sims 4. I also added some difficulty modes to spice things up as well. If you think something should be changed, fixed etc. leave a comment in this thread or tweet me @NickM97 and I'll try and get back to you! I will update the thread when updates and expansions come out, so the challenge is still playable. If you experience any difficulties in the challenge, again let me know and I'll change things up a bit. :) Introduction Hi there, I’m Nick and this is The Sims 4 Asylum Challenge! The Asylum Challenge is one of my favourite challenges from The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, so I decided to bring it into The Sims 4 with its own little twists. This challenge was originally created by Scout for The Sims 2, then revamped for The Sims 3 by BlakeS5678. For those who do not know the Asylum Challenge, here is the backstory: "You have been committed to a run down mental health facility against your will. In order to prove that you are fit to rejoin society and earn your freedom, you must achieve the goals your psychiatrist has set for you – your aspiration. The catch? You need to achieve your goals as quickly as possible, while keeping 7 other patients, who you don't know and are out of your control, alive and as happy as possible. Add to that budget cutbacks leading to a lack of decent furniture and limited supplies, and your task gets harder." For this challenge there will be an easy mode, medium mode and hard mode, just to spice things up a bit. Setting Up Create your main sim in CAS. They must be a young adult. You can choose whatever you want for looks, clothing, voice and walk styles. They must have the insane trait and the other two traits can be anything except for custom traits. You can also choose any aspiration except for the following: -Successful Lineage -Big Happy Family -Super Parent -Fabulously Wealthy -Mansion Baron -City Native After finishing your main sim, create seven other sims. They all must be young adults and they must all have the insane trait. The other two traits and their aspirations can be whatever you want. (I recommend having a few evil, mean and romantic sims, just to make things interesting). None of the eight sims are allowed to be related. Next step is to build the asylum on a residential lot in either Willow Creek or Oasis Springs. The size of the lot does not matter. You can build the asylum yourself, download an asylum from the Gallery using the hashtag #AsylumChallenge or modify an existing house in Willow Creek or Oasis Springs. Money cheats are allowed when building or placing your asylum. Depending on your mode of difficulty depends on what objects are allowed in your asylum, but all objects must be the cheapest at the beginning (Cheap counters, cheap beds, cheap couches etc.). You cannot have objects in the asylum which affects sim’s emotions (unless the object was obtained through a career reward) or which prevents fires. When you have finished building the asylum you cannot modify further, unless sims get stuck in a certain area or your asylum saves up enough money for a new skill building item or when you can purchase an upgraded item. Pools are allowed but they are classified as a skill building item. When you have finished creating your asylum, your family funds must be at the required amount for your difficulty. To change the family funds you must first type into the cheat box “testingcheats true” (without quotations), then type into the cheat box “money (amount required). For example, for easy mode you would put "testingcheats true" followed by "money 1000" followed by "testingcheats false". Upgrading Objects When the asylum saves up a bit of money you can start replacing the cheap furniture and appliances with high quality furniture and appliances. You can only replace items, you cannot buy extra items. For example you can replace the fridge but you can’t have two fridges. You cannot upgrade objects in hard mode. Using the handiness skill to upgrade objects is allowed in all difficulty modes. Gameplay - You must only be selected on your main sim, you are not allowed to click on the other sims at all to check their needs. If they die, they die. - If you want to, at 12am, you can click on the other sims to check their inventory if they have books, food etc. When doing this your game must be paused. Cheats/mods/hacks which boost sim’s needs or skills are not allowed. High free will must be turned on, so the other sims in the asylum will do things by themselves. - You can not use your inventory to reserve items for yourself. For example, you can't put a book or guitar in your inventory just so no one else can put it in theirs. - The age settings can either be on normal or long, it’s your choice. - No rearranging of furniture to reserve or use something for yourself. For example, you can not move the TV into a bedroom and turn it on just to get an uncontrollable sim out of bed so you can sleep in the bed. Nor can you remove a door so others can't gain access to the bathroom so you can use it when you come home from work. - If a sim dies you must keep the grave on the lot, you must keep the grave on the lot. If their ghost gets too annoying (e.g. they keep breaking objects) you can banish their ghost. - Putting toilets and showers/baths in separate rooms is OK in all difficulties, as dying from embarrassment tends to occur too much. - Making your sim “work hard” in their career is ok, you cannot make the other patients “work hard” in their careers. Game Pack/Expansion Pack Changes **Outdoor Retreat** -Outdoor Enthusiast aspiration is allowed. -You can only travel to Granite Falls when you need to complete certain goals in the Outdoor Enthusiast aspiration. -When travelling to Granite Falls you must bring all of your fellow patients with you and choose the campground as your destination. **Spa Day** -When completing an aspiration, you can reward your Sim with a trip to the spa. **Dine Out** -Your Sim cannot own a restaurant. -Your household cannot visit a restaurant. **Vampires** -Vampire patients are allowed. -Vampire aspirations are allowed. **Parenthood** -Super Parent aspiration is not allowed. **Get To Work** - Alien patients are allowed. - Active careers are not allowed as they require leaving the lot. - Your Sim cannot own a retail business - If a member of the Asylum is abducted by aliens and comes back pregnant, when they give birth you have to send the baby back to Sixam. **Get Together** -You can create an Asylum club for the patients, you cannot add outside Sims to the club. -Club perks are allowed for all levels of difficulties. **City Living** -Apartments cannot be asylums Difficulty Modes and Rules There are 3 different modes of difficulty for this challenge. Easy Mode: - Starting funds: $1,000 - Complete two aspirations, then you are free! - Can have the TV and the computer at the same time. - Two sinks, two toilets and two showers/bathtubs. - No more than 6 ‘bed spots’. For example you can have 6 single beds, or 3 double beds, 1 double and 4 single beds etc. - There can only be total seating for 8. That includes couches, lounges and chairs. If you have a dining table with 6 chairs then you may not use a couch that seats 3. - You may only have a total of 5 Skill Building items in the house, so choose wisely at the start. Computers, stoves, bookcases, mirrors, and TVs don't count as skill items. It is highly recommended to have skill items which make money, for example the easel. - Everyone in the asylum is allowed a job, but the non-controllable sims must be in the Criminal Career as it is the lowest paying job. You are not allowed to level them up in their career. If they lose their job, they have lost it forever. Your main sim can have whatever job they like. (It is recommended that their job is related to their aspiration. For example a sim with the Master Chef aspiration should be in the Culinary Career) -You can purchase lifetime rewards - Having a maid and ordering pizza is allowed. - Can leave the lot to go fishing and collecting at anytime. Can only travel to other people’s houses and community lots during the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm. (When travelling to another lot you must bring everyone from the asylum along with you) - If a sim dies, no objects have to be deleted. Medium Mode: - Starting funds: $500 - Complete three aspirations, then you are free! - You cannot have a TV and a computer at the same time. It is recommended that if your sim has the Computer Whiz aspiration for example, that you should have a computer. - One sink, one toilet, one shower/bathtub. - No more than 5 ‘bed spots’. For example, you can have 5 single beds, or 2 doubles and 1 single bed etc. - There can only be total seating for 6. That includes couches, lounges and chairs. If you have a dining table with 4 chairs then you may not use a couch that seats 3. - You may only have a total of 5 Skill Building items in the house, so choose wisely at the start. Computers, stoves, bookcases, mirrors, and TVs don't count as skill items. It is highly recommended to have skill items which make money, for example the easel. - Only 2 non-controllable sims are allowed jobs, both must be in the criminal career. Your main sim can have whatever job they like. (It is recommended that their job is related to their aspiration. For example a sim with the Master Chef aspiration should be in the Culinary Career) -You can purchase lifetime rewards - No maids and no pizza. - Can leave the lot to go fishing and collecting between the hours or 7:00am-5:00pm. Can only travel to other people’s houses and community lots during the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm. (When travelling to another lot you must bring everyone from the asylum along with you) - If a sim dies, 1 seat must be deleted until there is 1 seat remaining. Hard Mode: - Starting funds: $100 - Complete four aspirations, then you are free! You cannot have a TV and a computer at the same time. It is recommended that if your sim has the Computer Whiz aspiration for example, that you should have a computer - One sink, one toilet, one shower/bathtub. - No more than 4 ‘bed spots’. For example, you can have 4 single beds, or 2 double beds, 1 double bed and 2 singles - There can only be total seating for 4. That includes couches, lounges and chairs. If you have a dining table with 2 chairs then you may not use a couch that seats 3. - You may only have a total of 5 Skill Building items in the house, so choose wisely at the start. Computers, stoves, bookcases, mirrors, and TVs don't count as skill items. It is highly recommended to have skill items which make money, for example the easel. - Non-controllable sims are not allowed jobs. You main sim can only have a job if their aspiration requires it. For example the Master Chef aspiration requires your sim to be in the Culinary Career. -You cannot purchase lifetime rewards - No maids and no pizza. - Can leave the lot to go fishing and collecting between the hours or 12:00am-5:00am. Travelling to other lots is banned, unless your sim’s aspiration requires them to. In that, you can travel to other lots between 6:00pm-11:00pm. (When travelling to another lot you must bring everyone from the asylum along with you) - If a sim dies, 1 bed and 1 seat must be deleted until there is only 1 bed and 1 seat remaining. Aspirations In the difficulties it states that a number of aspirations must be completed. This refers to aspirations such as the Computer Wiz aspiration. It does NOT refer to groups of aspirations such as the all of the aspirations in the Creativity category. Scoring (Optional) +50: per aspiration completed. +1: per skill point any of the 8 Sims have at the end. Only living Sims count. +1: per 1000 Satisfaction points every Sim has. -20: per Sim that died. -20: per fire which has occurred. -20: per day when the power and water is shut off. (E.g. Power and Water shut off for 2 days =-40 points)776KViews4likes569CommentsDecades Challenge
