Tiny Christmas Village Challenge - new builds available!
Yay, excitement is in the air as we get closer to the holidays so let’s kick it up a notch with another tiny build challenge. For this theme, think of vintage / Victorian buildings similar to Lemax Caddington and Dickens village sets. Challenge criteria Create a Residential or Community build, and build as high or low as you wish, however the lot size cannot be larger than 10x10. Align your architecture, colours, textures and decor with the vintage / Victorian Christmas theme. If you plan to build based on a specific building from Lemax, Dickens or similar village sets, it would be great if you post a quick note in advance so we don't duplicate. * Include at least 3 objects from any of the free EA Store Happy Holiday Presents and / or Just for Pets collections. All EPs, SPs and official EA store content can be used, however no external 3rd party content please. You can Custard check your export file to double-check. More than one submission is fine, and links to sims or households created for your residential builds are welcome. No budget limit so let your imagination soar! When your creation is available on the Exchange, just reply here with the name of your build, the download link and up to 5 pictures including front view. You can link to additional media if desired. Do play test your builds to ensure no routing issues. Don’t want to have those sims stomping and getting stuck right! Windows and flooring tiles can go wonky if placed too near the lot edges. Adding them at least 1 square away should work, however test your build by placing a copy elsewhere in the world. Take a look around to ensure all is fine and fix this and any floating tiles as needed before final export. Take screenshots in Live mode. That removes gridlines from view and looks more attractive. Hidehi’s Christmas Village created by Rflong7 is a pretty builders world for use with this challenge since it features snow covered terrain, however there's just one 10x10 lot. You can easily bulldoze the existing larger lots to add 10x10s using the in-game tool, however you can build in any world of your choosing. Looking forward to seeing your tiny Christmas creations! Alphabet SuperLegacy Challenge Rules
Updated for Adventure Awaits. This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have a thread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it was very hard to update further. Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed two of the letters (Q, Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. Personality Traits: If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Naming: Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change up which three are in play. Aspiration Rewards: The heir must purchase all of their required rewards from the Reward Store before they can purchase any optional rewards. Consumable rewards (e.g. confident potion) can be purchased earlier, and then used later. Transitional Bonus Trait: The heir's transitional aspiration (the one that decides the bonus trait) has to be an aspiration from their generation, unless they don't one available at that age. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be a toddler, so you will need to give them at least one parent. I did it... I finally gave in to that whisper in my ear to start making Sims 4 clothes... As a hobby seamstress and a collector of vintage and retro sewing patterns, I'm never out of options to add something new to my wardrobe. But I just couldn't ignore that voice that kept telling me, "Ooh, you would look great in that", or "Wow, that would be an awesome item to make." Then... almost a year into playing The Sims 4, I broke down and gave in to the voice. I'd love to share my first ever make! Or rather, my closest interpretation of it. I finished all the winter roll-stice challenges and then my game froze. When I came back in my “roll-stice 1” challenges were at 0/12 completed but all the missions are checked off so I can’t just redo everything and get the 12 challenge goals. Anyone else have this problem?
