Weapon objectives bugged? (BF1)
I just unlocked sickle in BF1 by completing it's challenge (5 kills in one round with galli sword) I even got a kill with sickle and after that game is ended i switched to another server to play. Sickle was locked again. It was unplayable. How is this possible? Do i have to complete that challenge again? I had another ?bug? like this on another weapon challenge i got 200 kills with martini henry and next day when i logged into the game it was at 150. There is an annoying bug (at least that's what i think it is) in the game nowadays and it somehow reverses your progress to it's last saved moment. This is a huge problem for players as some challenges are really hard to accomplish. I hope EA officials see this article and solve this problem once and for all. Regards,Battlefiled 1 completely freezes my laptop after 10-15 seconds on the main menu
When I loaded up Battlefield 1, everything was working fine until about 10-15 seconds passed on the main menu. All of a sudden, my game stops working and completely freezes my laptop ( Like it was blue-screened but refused to resolve the issue and restart). I had to unscrew my laptop and disconnect the battery in order to resolve the issue. This happened twice as I thought it might have been an issue with my laptop. It has only doing this with Battlefield 1 and not any other game. I was able to play on May 2nd, without any issues, but as of today (May 3rd) it just freezes my entire laptop. I have never had any issues with freezing in the past with Battlefield 1 and I have over 300 hours on Battlefield 1. I've tried verifying the files on steam as well, but it said there were no issues.339Views4likes14CommentsBattlefield 1 & V bug freezes my PC - hard reset needed - faulty anti cheat
UPDATE: I managed to get a normal crash rather than a full system freeze. Go on registry editor, at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers and make sure TdrLevel registry key is set to Decimal 3. If there is no "TdrLevel" create a new DWORD value, set Decimal and set to 3. Then restart your PC. My crash message looks like this now: DirectX Error DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. GPU: "", Driver: "25.5.1 (25.10.01.09-250425a-415182C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition)". This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 1024 MB of VRAM. This doesn't solve the issue since the game is still causing crashes but at least it solves the hard freeze. Last crash it seems kernelbase.dll crashed bf1, which still suggests the anti-cheat is at fault here. Below you have the original post with the previous edits: I am experiencing this issue on BF1. As far as I've seen across the forums, the same anti cheat system was installed on BF V as well, and plenty of similar posts across the forums for both of the games. It has to do with the new anti-cheat system. I've played for 200 hours (stopped a few months ago, before the new anti-cheat update) and when I started playing again yesterday I can get in a game, and within a few minutes to a few dozen minutes the game will literally freeze (audio continues to work for a while), i can move my mouse around on the frozen bf1 game but I am unable to do any command (alt+tab, ctrl+alt+delete, windows+tab, ctrl+shift+win+b, alt+f4 etc), literally nothing. After a little while my mouse stops working too , audio cuts off and my PC is left in a frozen state, on the last frame of the battlefield game right before the freeze. This has to do with the crap anti cheat system that works at a kernel level. Perhaps it has to do with certain CPU architectures and it not being optimized for all. My system specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X AMD 7900 XTX G.Skill 64 GB RAM 6000Mhz BF1 is the only game that does this. I've also noticed I am having stutters in the game, especially the minutes before having a crash. I tried every type of fix like setting my power plan to balanced (popular fix online - doing this allowed my to have my longest session of like 20-30 minutes i think, but still crashed my PC), updating the anti cheat system from its tool .exe, removing the anti cheat files and verifying integrity on steam, trying to run on compatibility mode, running the CPU on one CCD, etc) and no luck. It's clearly the problem is from the new update and since the new update introduced a new anti cheat system and the crash seems to be a kernel-level type of crash since it requires a hard reset of the whole PC, I think we have the answer -> faulty anti cheat system, possibly on the ryzen architecture CPUs, mine being AM5. EA, I am tired of trying fixes and I will stop trying fixes since I have hard rebooted my PC at least 5 times trying to fix your faulty update. Get this sorted ASAP. EDIT: Based on the comments, it looks like there are plenty others with Intel PCs that have the same problems as well. It seems that it happens on both Intel and AMD CPUs as well as both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. This enforces the idea that it is the anti-cheat that is causing the crash but it widens the search for the problem within the anti-cheat since it's no longer AM4/AM5 only. Harder for the devs, but at least we know it's not our PCs/drivers. The behavior seems to be a bit different depending on each case: some people have the same symptoms as me, others nearly the same but it ends with a BSOD, others have a freeze for a few seconds but PC recovers rather than crashing. EDIT 2: It seems that the anti-cheat is causing the GPU drivers to hard-crash at the kernel level therefore freezing the PC. Looks like it happens on a very different mix of platforms, different amd&intel&nvidia combos. If you have the same problem try stating what apps u have open as well, the ones running in the background too. Maybe it's an overlay issue or idk...1.4KViews5likes69CommentsBattlefield 1 & Battlefield V can't connect to EA servers
Around a week ago, I received an email from EA about suspicious activity on my account, and I reset my password as instructed. Ever since, both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V on my PS5 no longer connect to EA servers. The games simply keep trying to connect to EA online without success, no matter how many times I try. On one night it did connect after around 3 hours of repeated attempts, but since then it hasn't connected again. I have tested multiple PSN and EA accounts, reinstalled both BF1 and BFV, rebuilt PS5 database, deleted local save files and software cache, changed DNS and tried different networks, restored licenses, and I have tried resetting my password multiple times after that. Other online games are working fine and my friend in Turkey connects instantly to BF1 (not a general server issue) Has anyone else seen connection issues like this after resetting their EA password? Could this be related in some way? Is there something else I might be missing? I’ve contacted EA Support already but haven’t gotten a clear answer yetUnlocked the Vetteri vitalit m1870/80 carbine but didn't get it.
I wanna say something.. I did destroy a horse with a k bullet and I got the pop up (the carbine weapon) for unlocking the weapon and I was glad because it took so long to unlock this weapon and then I went afk to do something (during conquest at St. Quentins Scar Map) and clicked okay due to inactivity at the menu when I came back to the desk and going to see.. The weapon isnt there in my scout loadout. Is it because I got kicked out due to inactivity? Because I for sure saw the weapon pop up when I killed the horse with a k bullet and the unlock was acknowledged . (Edit: this happened yesterday night and I thought it was a bug which no one seemed to get but until now I saw this forum, PS:Still trying again to unlock it and not go afk haha) So has this happened to anyone? Ps: I saw this similar issue on a forum which was 8 years ago, was told to start a new forum.
;-) Liebe Grüsse ThomasBlack screen no icon in the game launcher - how many years and still an issue
Title says it all. Opening battle packs is dark. Like someone has turned the lights off and you can just make out the jimmybar / crowbar opening the chest. No Icon displayed on the weapon and gadgets etc. Gone through and tried all the fixes from reddit, EA forums etc and still get the black screen, no icons etc in the game launcher for BF1. Funny thing is, if I load BF4 and then go into BF1 from the launcher and search around the soldier stats, loadouts, weapon and gadgets and assignments all works. As soon as I load the BF1 "game", still via launcher, after clicking a menu or 2, black screen no icons again..... I see this happens on some console platforms too going by the forums I stumbled on. Is there an actual fix out there or is this all on EA/DICE?101Views0likes9Comments
