Test Your Mettle”
Hello, respected ea team. I am a loyal Battlefield fan from China. Regarding the achievements in Battlefield: Hardline, I need your help. Battlefield: Hardline shut down its online official servers in 2023, which has prevented many Chinese players from unlocking the achievement "Test Your Mettle." This has caused great disappointment, as it affects 100% game completion. In addition, there’s also the achievement of killing 10k enemies across four different military units.I kindly ask that you consider releasing a fix or alternative solution for this achievement, such as automatically unlocking it or adjusting the criteria so that it can be completed in other ways. Battlefield: Hardline still holds a place in the hearts of many players, and solving this issue would mean a lot to both players and the community. On Chinese community forums, many players have been asking if there's still a way to resolve this, including new players who are considering buying Battlefield: Hardline. Many of them are deterred from purchasing because they cannot achieve 100% completion. We sincerely hope to receive a reply from your team. Best regardsBattlefield Hardline - Cannot Fire with mouse LMB
I can't seem to fire using the LMB, also getting stuck at the early part of Episode 1 where I first learn to show badge going down the rooftop going to save Tyson. Every time I click M to show badge I instantly fire a shot without clicking LMB and dies. Getting stuck here and I can't get through.[HAZE] MANTEL CORPORATION is recruiting!
MANTEL is a HAZE (2008) themed platoon for BF3, BF4, and BFH. We're on PC, PS4, and PS3 (will be explained shortly). The PS3 version of BF3 was brought back online by some very passionate fans, and requires changing your PS3 DNS settings. If you have questions, please talk to me @ Liquid_Jimbo on Discord. We're not a sweaty platoon (at least I'm not, I don't believe sweating games like a job is fun and worth my time, certainly not sweating games older than 10 years), we play for fun and tbag everyone just because we can. We're real meat eaters, button pushers, MGE sigmas, etc. Of course, spawn-camping is fake and cringe at MANTEL. All the teamwork strategies, meme strategies, and meme load-outs can be found at MANTEL CORPORATION. Playing the objective is what MANTEL does best, even if some recon mains across the map click on our foreheads every-time we deploy. I've started hosting small scale, very scuffed tournaments monthly. Since the console and PlayStation servers were shut down, some of us PC players have started experiencing lag, and many have seen their ping spike. While players living in continental America or Europe have actually gained a better connection, my ping has reached 220–270ms, making the game feel like hell to play. Previously, it sat around 189–195ms, which was perfectly playable. We have been managing, playing on, and helping players to run those two AE51 servers. People also occasionally play on the [FREE] server too (check attachment). It is incredibly frustrating how we are being treated after all our effort. Is this issue directly related to the server shutdown, or is it caused by something else? Could you please look into fixing the Battlefield: Hardline servers for PC players, especially since many console and Xbox players are now migrating over to PC? Currently, this game only has fanmade ranked servers. There are many Asian players keeping this game alive, including me. Please fix this server routing issue; otherwise, we will be forced to deal with this severe ping problem all the time.69Views0likes3Comments“Test Your Mettle” Achievement Now Unobtainable – Please Consider a Fix
Hi EA team, I’m reaching out regarding the “Test Your Mettle” achievement in Battlefield Hardline. Since the official servers have been shut down, this achievement has become unobtainable, as it relies on online features no longer accessible. Many completionists and fans of the Battlefield series are disappointed, as this prevents 100% completion of the game. I kindly ask that you consider issuing a fix or workaround for this achievement, such as unlocking it automatically or adjusting the criteria so it can be completed another way. Battlefield Hardline still holds a place in many players' hearts, and addressing this issue would mean a lot to the community. Thank you for your time and consideration. Dear DICE Development Team, I am a long-time Battlefield player who has enjoyed the series for many years. As a dedicated fan of the franchise, I would like to respectfully share an idea for a future Battlefield title. I would love to see a Battlefield game set during the Korean War (1950–1953). The Korean War presents a unique historical setting that has rarely been explored by major AAA first-person shooter games. Unlike many other conflicts, it was a hybrid war fought during a transitional period between World War II and the Cold War. As a result, the battlefield featured a fascinating mixture of late World War II equipment and early Cold War weaponry. This combination would provide a fresh gameplay experience while still retaining the authenticity and military atmosphere that Battlefield players appreciate. The conflict also involved multiple nations and military forces, allowing for a wide variety of factions and perspectives. These could include the Republic of Korea Army, United States forces, United Nations forces, the Chinese People's Volunteer Army, the North Korean People's Army, and even limited Soviet involvement in specific scenarios. Such diversity could create unique gameplay opportunities and historical depth. In addition, the Korean War featured numerous large-scale and historically significant battles that could serve as outstanding multiplayer maps, operations, or campaign missions. Examples include: Battle of Inchon (Incheon Landing Operation) Battle of the Pusan Perimeter (Nakdong River Defense Line) Battle of Chosin Reservoir Battle of Pyongyang Battle of White Horse Hill Battle of the Imjin River Battle of Chipyong-ni Battle of the Han River in Seoul Battle of Paro Lake These battles involved urban warfare, mountain combat, amphibious assaults, armored offensives, defensive operations, air support, and large-scale combined-arms warfare—all elements that align perfectly with the core identity of the Battlefield franchise. Furthermore, Battlefield has a proven history of successfully exploring settings that many developers may initially consider sensitive, unconventional, or commercially risky. For example, Battlefield 4 prominently featured the Chinese military in a modern geopolitical conflict during a time when many developers avoided such themes. Similarly, Battlefield 1 chose World War I as its setting—an era that many believed would not attract a mainstream audience due to its relative lack of representation in modern gaming. Despite these concerns, both titles became highly successful and are still regarded as some of the finest entries in the Battlefield franchise. Battlefield 1 in particular demonstrated that players are willing to embrace lesser-explored historical settings when they are delivered with authenticity, atmosphere, and excellent gameplay. Even today, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1 continue to maintain passionate communities and are frequently praised by players around the world. Another reason I believe the Korean War deserves consideration is that many of the most common military shooter settings have already been extensively explored over the past two decades. Players have experienced countless games set during World War II, modern-day conflicts, and the Vietnam War. While these settings remain popular, they are also highly familiar to long-time FPS audiences. To continue evolving the franchise and capturing players' attention, I believe Battlefield should once again pursue a setting that feels fresh, distinctive, and underrepresented. The Korean War offers exactly that opportunity. It provides a unique historical environment that many players know little about, while still delivering the large-scale warfare, iconic weapons, vehicles, and memorable battles that define the Battlefield experience. For this reason, I believe the Korean War represents a rare opportunity to offer players something genuinely new without abandoning the military realism and historical authenticity that have always been central to Battlefield's identity. Personally, I believe that combining the immersive atmosphere, emotional impact, and sense of scale found in Battlefield 1 with the refined gunplay, movement systems, and combat mechanics of Battlefield V would create an exceptional experience. Set against the backdrop of the Korean War, such a game could become one of the most unique, memorable, and ambitious Battlefield titles ever created. It could also provide a compelling alternative to the settings typically explored by competing franchises such as Call of Duty. I fully understand that game development decisions require extensive planning, research, and consideration. Nevertheless, I wanted to share this idea because I sincerely believe the Korean War offers tremendous potential for a future Battlefield title and could introduce millions of players around the world to a fascinating and often overlooked chapter of history. Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion. I hope that someone on the team may find this concept interesting and worthy of consideration. Even if this idea is never realized, I would be grateful if it could contribute, in some small way, to future discussions about the direction of the Battlefield franchise. Thank you once again for your time and consideration. I hope that this suggestion has sparked at least a little curiosity and interest. Sincerely, A Battlefield Fan and Long-Time PlayerBattlefield Hardline PS4 "You have lost connection to PSN"
Hello, due to the recent announcement of shutdown I wanted to hop back on Battlefield Hardline on PS4 and clean up some trophies that I still need. Whenever I try to enter multiplayer (or premium or the store) I get the message, "You have lost connection PSN and thus lost your connection to the EA servers". Firstly, I have not lost connection to PSN and reading other threads has me thinking this is related to linking accounts. To be quite honest I don't ever remember making an EA account before this one although I might have. When I started playing on consoles again, I played Skate 3 and had to unlink an account from my gamertag that just said something along the lines of "deactivated". Then I linked it to this EA account which I actually use and remember making (mainly for PC games). I guess this deactivated account held my original Hardline progress (which was probably only a handful of matches). I don't really care about that progress I just want to connect to the game and due to EA deciding to implement an AI chatbot instead of a live chat feature like they used to, I cannot reach an actual human about this issue. Posting here is my last resort and attempt to receive any help from an actual human at EA that could potentially remedy this issue. Thanks.129Views0likes7Comments1930's Hardline
Just mulling about with random ideas again and thought a probation period, 1930's gangster styled Hardline would be cool if done right. It'd have to be really nicely stylised with a dark and gritty theme/feel ( BF1 ) to it. Robbing banks, armoured cars riddled with bullet holes, loose notes flying through the air in a haze of cigar smoke, shoot outs in dark damp alley, pulling out a Thompson from a violin case, a melee take down with some Brass Knuckles followed by cigar to the eye. Wouldn't be right calling it " Battlefield ________ " as I think that was why Hardline had such hard time, it wasn't a terrible game, it just wasn't deserving of the battlefield title and couldn't live up to all the battlefield title encompasses. As soon as you attach ' battlefield ' onto something it then has to have classes, locked weapons/gadgets, land/sea/air combat, light, medium and heavily armoured vehicles etc.. And while yes in a typical war-torn setting this is perfect, but in Hardlines case, I felt as if it demanded too much and the game lost some of it's identity because of it. let's say Hardline was a new franchise title ( like Battlefield, Battlefront ) and the Hardline we got was called Hardline LA. Then we could've had something that was like a scaled down GTA urban warfare kinda game, as being a new franchise it wouldn't have to follow the battlefield recipe and be under the same constraints. You could have Two rival gangs going at it, with a police force involved too, giving us 32v32v32 territorial battles, that would be something different indeed, conquest would be named " turf war " for example. So the game I'm suggesting would then be Hardline Chicago. You could have a Hardline New York, set in the 1980's, Hardline London, set in the 60's. The list goes on. I just thought it'd be different and fun.
