Sporadic Game Freezes
Sometimes, while racing, the game will straight up freeze for half a second, and then continue as if nothing happened, except during that half second the game was running and I ended up missing my braking or touching an opponent; normally it just causes me to lose my car. I thought it could have been some graphics configuration, but even setting it to low or medium does not stop this from happening. While on high settings the benchmark gives me max fps of 112 and min of 22, on medium/low it goes up to 250 fps and min of 20-22. I've checked the cpu/gpu/ram allocation during the game session and its all looking normal. This only happens with f1 25, all other games run incredibly smooth (and usually at high/max settings). It doesnt happen consistently, but like, 1-3 times over a 3-4hr racing session, and it doesnt consistently happen at the beginning nor later on, it seems to happen at random moments. How can I fix this issue? I have an i9, rtx 4070 super, 64gb of ram, an ssd and am running windows 11. Playing through steamAPXGP Pack missing
Hi everyone, I purchased the F1 25 Iconic Edition via Steam on July 11, 2025, which was within the eligibility period to receive the APXGP Pack, including access to the F1 movie characters (Sonny Hayes, Joshua Pearce) and the APXGP team. However, the APXGP Pack is not showing up in my Steam DLC list, and neither the movie drivers nor the APXGP team are available in-game. I've checked across all game modes (Career, My Team, Grand Prix, etc.), but they are nowhere to be found. I've also made sure the game is fully updated and that all the DLC available are installed properly—but no luck. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any known fixes or steps I might be missing? Thanks very much for your help!Held in Pit, Extra 20s
This bug has been reported and really needs fixing asap, because it kills races. Career Mode, keep getting held in pits as if there's a penalty or unsafe release. The light stays on, and it costs me about 20s each time. I went from 4th to 14th in Jeddah because of it just moments ago. PHC2-RHPM-CTVD-CBTD1.8KViews54likes92CommentsPad problems
Ever since the beginning of the game, I, along with other pad players, have noticed that wheel players have a significant advantage. Initially, I observed a clear advantage in slow corners, where, due to their much faster and smoother movement, they are able to rotate the car more quickly and get back on the throttle much sooner. As for the pad, it has fluidity issues, since its inputs are jerky, no matter what steering or rotation speed is used. Moreover, the pad suffers from noticeable mid-corner understeer compared to the wheel: because of this understeer, pad players can’t rotate the car as quickly as wheel players. Additionally, since pad players rotate the car much more slowly, they can’t get on the throttle as early, which also affects traction. Because of slow corners alone, pad players lose around 3 tenths just in those sections. On top of that, a few weeks ago I noticed—thanks to a friend of mine and teammate in my esports team—that the pad has about 20% more tire degradation compared to the wheel during a race. Even today, while watching a race from the RRS competition, I saw my friend on mediums only manage 7 laps, while another wheel player managed to do 11 laps and won the race because of it. He even managed to get more laps out of the hard compound, while my teammate suffered a puncture despite doing fewer laps and managing almost every stint carefully. There doesn’t seem to be any way to fix the tire degradation issue while still staying competitive, nor does there appear to be a solution to reduce the understeer. I’m writing this long message to let the EA developers know that the pad situation needs to be improved. Many people are losing their patience with being at such a disadvantage compared to wheel players—and honestly, I’m one of them. I’m also very tired of this situation because both in F1 23, and especially in F1 24, I was one of the fastest pad players in the community, often beating wheel users who are now much quicker. Please, EA, fix these pad-related issues—they’re ruining a game that is otherwise clearly better than its predecessor.470Views23likes27CommentsPiastri might've just ended me... (kidding, sorta)
Ok, so... Lap 33/36 of Austria in "My Team" Career mode, a lapped Oscar Piastri (currently on 110 difficulty for reference) tries to unlap himself going into turn 2. Attempts to overtake on the outside where there is absolutely no room, and pit maneuvers me. Now i play with rewind on so it's an easy fix... is what i thought. I get sent into a corner like barrier. One of those grey plastic squishy ones. I'm going right sidepod first, but in this game, it's not like your car can get split in half, right? I hit the wall and the barrier squishes a bit, then boom! my car's gone, in fact, my screen went black. surprised me a bit, but I though my computer crashed or a breaker tripped. nope, my hud was still there. map, energy, even when i tried to rewind the options were still there... but the track, car, everything else gone. rewind didn't work. quick reset of graphic settings didn't work. so it was weird, but i was just gonna retire, no big deal. i did notice something quick though. before i retired my battery was at a whopping -2,147,483,648 percent (the 32bit limit). retired and tried replaying the race to see what happened to me that lap... my car had no sound, no wheels, and no character in the replay up until lap 33 where it just crashed on me. wished i had saved the replay so i could try and see but oh well. lets hope my career doesn't disappear...VR Crashing with SteamVR
Ok so my game crashes in VR mode as the title says. It's usually when I'm going from a big screen view to actual VR mode. Also sometimes on startup it will crash as well. What usually happens is that the game will freeze and SteamVR will have a critical error and ask to restart or quit, after a few seconds it closes the game. Usually right before the crash there is a loading SteamVR icon at the bottom right corner of the screen before it crashes. PC Specs: Ryzen 7 5700X, RTX 4060, 32GB RAM, Standard link cable, medium graphics settings I know that I am not the only one with this issue as I have seen people on other platforms (Reddit) with this exact issue. I also have F1 22 and when i tired using that in VR mode it does the exact same thing as F1 25. What I tried: Different GPU drivers Different Games (F1 22) Reinstall Meta, Steam, SteamVR and F1 25 I also noted that my usage is only around 75-80% (GPU). Please help as this error makes it demotivating to race longer races or to even play the game at all (don't have a monitor for my sim rig yet so stuck with VR). If you know a fix please leave a comment because this is becoming very annoying.Williams height is too low
I think this game is about F1 cars, not lowriders 😅 It can be seen the upper wishbone (or the overall suspension) is somehow compressed all the time. It really breaks the inmersion. From far the car seems too weird. This seems to happen in Time Trial mode only (as far as I know) but considering in other games there were cars with the car too low in all modes I wouldn't know if this is only me or something. I think it's worth to check. Hopefuly it gets fixedQualifying position 2 player career
It's now been multiple times where myself and my friend have either both been shoved to the back of the grid (with no penalties) after qualifying 1 and 3 in the last race of the season to decide who wins, or now two other times where one of us qualifies in p5 or 6 and gets put on pole or on second, above the other one. From our experience it has happened on sprint weekends, but we only have a small sample size. This pretty much ruins the competitive integrity of the save since we have to use an honour system in turn 1 and guesstimate where we 'should' be.
