Can't enter household
I just updated my game today, 3/31, and when I go to start playing, it sends me to manage worlds to select a world to play in. When I click the world and household I want, it glitches out and sends me back to the main manage worlds screen. Then I tried to create a new household to avoid this problem, but then when i was done creating a new sim, it took forever to load and did not load through. I had to force quit the game. Young Ghosts Return Thread 2.0
I had to remake this thread since 1 edit to correct stuff since It was way outdated got it falsely removed by auto mod and wanted to get the main page up to date. So I have to remake it. I'm going to use the info from mod the sims to make it easier on myself. This mod brings back the old days where you can cheat Younger sims to be ghosts. With the Life and death update. The sims team restricted on which ages can be which type of Ghosts. Which made Toddler, Infants, adult pets and baby pets to no longer be ghosts. This mod allows the old days again so they can be ghosts again. There are side effects like stretching from young meteor ghosts doing the death animation. Toddlers walking slow but other then that it works well. Toddlers who have the laughter trait can make people playful like adult. This will also fix certain features like The premade Ghost Dog Captain Whittaker and fix the wishing well issues when you get a Ghost Child from there. I made this mod personally but I had people ask me from places to share it. Pets can only be Old age for reasons. I will say this. Bugs. I don't want to get this one removed and that might have been the reason. It brings the old days. They still can't die but you add the ghost traits with Cheats like the trait equip cheat. MCCC or UI cheats. The traits were enabled for them so all ghost types in the normal game are enabled for them but not death. You just have to add the traits to them with cheats like how it was before Life and death patch. If you use Young Ghosts Return and want to upload them to the Gallery or somewhere. Make sure to include this in the description. #YoungGhostsReturn That way. People will know the mod used in the upload with young ghosts and why it's marked as custom content. Recently, I was trying to get my teenage sim to develop a crush on a friend AND trying to remove a crush from another rando (who is her first cousin, twice removed, but still.. ew) and the modifyrelationship cheat is not working. ] I have HSY and have repeatedly used the "modifyrelationship firstname lastname firstname lastname (100 or -100) sentimenttrack_" command, and once I press enter, it just disappears and makes no change. I've tried restarting the game and have also redone the cheat multiple times, and have tried using ID numbers instead... nothing. Good evening. Earlier today I tried to alter a Sim's career outfit through the cheat "sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas". However, when I exited CAS, not only did it take an unusually long time to exit, but when it did it returned me to the world menu instead of to live mode. And when I checked on my households, all of my dynasties had been deleted. My noble sims still had their careers, but all dynasties and noble titles were deleted as if they never existed in the first place. I do have mods, but when I removed them the bug still persisted. Is there a work around I can use to edit career outfits so I don't destroy all the dynasties I created in my save? I have been giving some of my pre set sims a makeover, no modes used just straight up traits and clothes. CAS cheat was used. when loading back in for the first time the sim changed and stayed that way. then i loaded into a new lot and they changed back. i had to load back into CAS multiple times for it to register the change. this is now a regular occurrence with each time i visit that sims lot or visit or move lots with that sim.
Mods not loading/ Saving/Crashing
When I am playing the Sims 4 game my game tends to crash out of nowhere. There is also a lot of freezing when I am trying to save my game or build a house. When I think that I have saved my game it seems to reset what I tried to save like it didn't save it at all. Also if I have the mods to a house in my folder the game would automatically replace it with something crazy and claim that I don't have a certain pack. The season pack is not loading into my game at all. I checked and even updated my mods and redownloaded everything and I'm still having issues. I play on my Laptop MacBook Pro.
I can't play anymore after I turned the mods off
After the latest update (March 17, 2026), my game would not let me play at all. Every time I tried, I got an "error: failed to launch" message from the EA App. I clicked manage and repair so many times, but nothing worked, or if it did, it was only for a handful of minutes, not hours. When I finally did get into the game, the whole interface was shrunk. It's way too small for me to read pop-ups or menus, etc. I don't know how that happened. Also, I keep getting a pop-up saying one or more packs have been uninstalled, but I didn't uninstall anything. And, it has also slowed the speed of the game down significantly with lag. I switched mods off and tried to reload back into the game, thinking maybe that was the problem, but now I can't even play at all. The play button is grayed out for me, and I can't click repair or uninstall, only manage add-ons and view properties.
