Friday Highlights - March 13th
Sul Sul everyone! It’s our favorite day of the week, and already the second Friday the 13th of the year! So how superstitious are you feeling today, will you be avoiding umbrellas and ladders? I live with a black cat, so I’ll be giving him extra cuddles and treats today to bribe him for some good luck 😸 Let’s quickly catch up on the news from this week: On Tuesday, we got a sneak peek at the upcoming fixes with the newest Laundry List - take a look here to see what all will be included! “It’s called fashion sweaty, look it up” posted here, by belalucina Now let’s get on to the highlights! Let’s get our week started with a story from one of our current most popular threads, Darling Vampire, written by Frostysirenfox. This story follows Lilith Darling, a young vampire navigating her way through the One Month One World One Year Challenge. Lilith has recently been on the run from a ruthless group of vampire hunters, and has just settled into her new home in Nordhaven. This week, she struggles with the loss of a dear old friend, but she’s surprised to find she’s not as alone as she thought… 🦊🦊🦊 There’s several more fantastic stories happening in this discussion as well, and all are worth reading, so be sure to check them all out, and feel free to join in with your own gameplay story as well! Why settle on one architectural style for your house when you can have all of them? This week’s build, King of the Quarry, created by the_mikado is the perfect mashup of a French style chateau, a classic medieval castle, and canal house all with modern touches. This lovely estate includes an indoor pool, large dining and entertaining hall, small throne room, piano lounge room, and two bedrooms complete with en-suite bathrooms. If you’ve been looking for the right home but don’t want to settle on one particular style, this is the perfect castle for you! 🏰🏡 Up next, we’ve got a brand new legacy gameplay story to follow along with called Grimms Generation, written by shandy_lou97. The founding Sim for this legacy is Brynlee Grim, a young tattoo artist looking to start fresh. With only 20k to her name, her goal is to run a thriving business and become the best tattoo artist in Nordhaven. So will she make it? This story is just getting started, so be sure to follow along! ⚓🧑🏽🎨🖌️ It’s been awhile since we had an update on one of my favorite occult gameplay stories, but this week we finally got a new chapter for The Tides of Power, written by simscognito. This story follows Queen Melody, a royal siren with a deadly secret as she struggles with her insecurities and disloyal Court. This week, tensions are beginning to rise as she starts to suspect the worst from her chamberlain and advisor. This noble drama is full of deceit, action and fantasy, so if you’re looking for an exciting new story to binge, grab the popcorn and read on!🧜🏼♀️👑 We’ll close our week out with a new Sims 3 World, Crimson Cliffs Inhabited, created by ump1vintti. This once remote island is surrounded by dangerous waters and is now home to a small population of 60 residents who make their living off the natural gold veins located across the land. The town currently has 56 commercial lots, including a city hall, library, salon, and two schools, with several hangout spots like a lovely beach, fishing holes, and even a festival grounds. So if you’re looking to start a quiet new coastal life, be sure to check this world out and play with either the premade households each with a backstory and lore, or start your own family instead 🪨⛏️ And that’s a wrap for another exciting week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire120Views9likes7CommentsFriday Highlights - March 6th
Sul Sul friends! It’s finally March, which means we are slowly but surely heading towards Spring! This weekend, we are also celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8th. So I wanted to give a shoutout to EA_Solaire for all her hard work here, and to all the ladies of the Sims communities for your passion and dedication, for all the beautiful builds and inspiring challenges, and the tech and in-game knowledge you share with us! 💫 (Sorry, there are too many of you to tag!!) What about you, who are the women that inspire you in your life? 🤗 Before we start, see what you missed this week: On Thursday, we announced that the applications are now open for the Maker Program. Make sure to check out all the details here! A playful time with the Cheshire Cat and Dinah... posted here by lanlynk Let’s see what exciting highlights await us! ⚕️ Wait, wait! Before we start, 5782341b77vl needs to do a quick check-up: have you been playing too much of The Sims recently? For example, do you hear the game soundtrack even when you’re not playing? Is Simlish starting to make more sense than your native language? You might also be experiencing other symptoms, such as trying to spin to change your outfit, or humming the Buy Mode music when going shopping. If that’s the case, you might be afflicted with the PTMS (Playing-Too-Much-Sims) condition. Recently, I have been checking out dishes from the game to give me inspiration for my own recipes (luckily, I haven't set my kitchen on fire… yet). To properly diagnose this very serious affliction, we need your help listing all possible side effects, so make sure to share in the original thread if you are experiencing a case of PTMS symptoms 🤭 🎁 You know what rhymes with Friday? Giveaway! And if you missed simgirl1010’s last week, don’t worry because luthienrising has you covered with a giveaway of one of the latest kits, Wonderland Playroom or Yard Charm. To participate, simply reply on the thread before March 7th and just write down which pack you would like to win. Yard charm looks great, but as an indoor type of person (in real-life and in-game), I can’t wait to start decorating my bedrooms with the beautiful items 🐰♟️ Good luck to everyone who participates! 🏙️ I don’t know you, but I love extra long videos: they’re perfect to leave in the background while cooking, eating, doing a hobby, or even while playing The Sims! So if you have extra time on your hands, grab a cup of tea and watch this detailed video of karritz’s Perfect Genetics Challenge as we explore the third generation of sims and the world they live in, which is inspired by the fictional town of Vice City 🍵 ⛪ Itzmee14 is coming back to the game after a long absence, and what a comeback - the title says it all: I built a huge cathedral! St Agnes Cathedral is indeed massive, and the details are simply stunning, it’s hard to put it into words… Players’ creativity simply has no limits. The build is inspired by different real-world cathedrals, and the name St Agnes is honoring our favourite grumpy old lady, Agnes Crumplebottom. This would be a perfect addition to your game, whether you need it for your kingdom, a sumptuous wedding, or just to add a bit of architectural variety to your world. Make sure to check out the beautiful pictures yourself and admire the hard work! 🔮 Finally, if you like to watch challenges unfolding in real time, JesLet40 is just starting Gen 2 of the Pack Legacy Challenge. In this challenge, you start with the base game, and add up one pack of your choice with each new generation, who will be in charge of exploring as many new additions as possible (check out the rules for all the details if you’d like to start your own challenge!). In this new chapter, Willow is still trying to reverse the curse put on her mother with the addition of the Enchanted by Nature pack, which is putting a lot of pressure on her. Neo’s relationship with Malik is following its course, and Sandy is throwing a birthday party for Sunny. Let’s hope that Willow is successful in finding a cure and helps her mom regain a bit of sanity! And that concludes another week of highlights! Have a fantastic weekend folks, and see you soon! Upstairs, you’ll find a small empty apartment, ready for your Sim to decorate and furnish as they please. So if you’re ready to take on a new small business, be sure to check out this shop! ⚱️🏺 Up next, we have a new story about one of Sulani’s longest ruling Dynasties- The Kealoha Dynasty, written by seanctrl. This once beloved Dynasty has suffered a fall from grace and now the newest generation must work to restore their legacy and earn back the trust of their people. But will they succeed? And will they be able to keep their ancient bloodline a secret, or will they finally be exposed? This story is just getting started, so be sure to tune in and follow along as the drama and adventure unfolds! 🧜🏾♀️👑 Let’s mix it up a little bit this week with a new type of challenge- QTSimz has created a Shell Challenge for all you wonderful builders! For this challenge, you’ll be renovating a very cute 2-bed 2-bath home, with full artistic freedom to landscape, edit the interior floorplan, add windows or doors, or even build a second floor. Your only rule is no editing the exterior walls, and no CC allowed. You’ll have until the end of March to submit your builds for this challenge, be sure to get started and show off your artistic talents! 🏗️🚧 There’s nothing that scares me more than the fast approaching Texas summer heat, so let’s get even more spooked with this new challenge - The Dead Zone Challenge, created by Hearts_For_All. For this challenge, you’ll be trying to survive 1 of 3 different apocalyptic scenarios- Devastation, Destruction, or Desolation. Each scenario has specific lot challenges, traits and goals that you’ll need to work towards with various rewards you can unlock along the way. If you think you can survive, be sure to try out this choose your own adventure style challenge! 🧟☢️ And that’s all for another wonderful week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire598Views25likes19CommentsFriday Highlights - February 20th
Sul Sul friends! Another week done, it's time for the Friday Highlights! How is your trip in Ondarion going? Is everything going smoothly, or is chaos ensuing in the realm? I want to know all about your court dramas 🍵 Check out what’s new: Only one news this week, with the latest epatch that was released on Thursday. Make sure to update your game, and you can find the patch notes here! A quiet night in Verdemar, posted here by Simmerville And now, it's time for the highlights! 🤭 Let’s kick it off with a classic Did You know Thread on Royalty & Legacy started by catloverplayer , who has been sharing the most important information, which is that cats can wear crowns (yay!). Lots of you are also sharing fun facts about the new pack, such as discovering the hidden notes scattered around the new neighborhoods, or the fact that both female and male sim can wear glass slippers (can we talk about how uncomfortable a glass slipper would be in real life for a second?). There are plenty more interesting bits about the game so I strongly encourage you to check it out directly, and make sure to share your fun discoveries with the pack! 💭 If you have been playing with Royalty & Legacy lately, you might have had some fun with picking Dynasty Values, mixing and matching, and checking which ones work the best (or the worst!). So HollownessDevour is asking you what is your Dynasty Set up and what kind of results did you get, after noticing that a lot of skills related to nature (like gardening, or natural living) pair very well with the Nature-Loving ideals, and are very effective for gaining Prestige ✍️ If you need some inspiration or are not sure what to pick and what to expect, this thread will be perfect to get you started. And if you have picked different sets of options, make sure to share those with us and let us know how that went (especially if it went terrible!). 🏰 This week, come discover Cevans1962’s beautiful Forteresse de Pierre, a French Country style family home located in Windenburg. This build includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a spacious open kitchen and living room. You will also find other neat amenities such as a little office space, a nice terrace to relax, and a fitness and yoga studios located in the towers. Most rooms are decorated with white and light-coloured floors and walls with pops of black, brown and grey. The children's bedrooms are the only exception, with colourful and cute items. From an outside perspective, the house is simply stunning with the stone walls and the tower at the side! Make sure to check out all the details, and you can download it from the Gallery if you think that this could be a fine addition to your game! 📖 Next up, belalucina is picking up an older story that was started a couple years ago: The Girl Who Fell Between Worlds - April’s Story 2.0. The plot is set in Strangerville, where April joined the military and met her colleague Ted, to investigate curious cases of missing sims. After finding all the missing people and revealing the culprit, April was also suspecting that General Grunt has been behind some shady business. Before she could follow this lead, she was brought to a different timeline and woke up with little memories of her past. This first chapter follows April navigating in this new and yet familiar universe as she tries to remember what happened to her. If you’re in look for a next mystery story, this one looks very promising! Stay tuned for the next chapters! Finally, Tamijo1444 has a few chapters up of their new story, Yamamoto & the Orphanage. The story originally starts with Masaki Yamamoto, who emigrated from Japan with her husband. After his passing, she moved to Appaloosa and now lives with her son Yasuhito, her daughter-in-law Hana and her grand-children. The town also includes an orphanage with a couple of children, handled by Erin Scholler and Nicklaus Butler. With full autonomy on, all those sims are basically creating their own story! Will they make the wisest choices, or will they try to figure out things as they come? Will Nicklaus keep getting into shady activities? Will Yasuhito’s and Hana’s couple make it to the end? And will the children at the orphanage learn to clean their plates? Time will tell, but in the meantime, we’ll be happy to follow each character’s adventures! And that concludes another week! As always it was a pleasure, have a great weekend folks and happy simmin! Dag dag ✌️ Cath381Views20likes11CommentsFriday Highlights - February 13th
Sul Sul everyone! It’s Friday again, and what an exciting week! The wait is finally over, and Royalty & Legacy has fully launched, alongside our two newest kits- Tea Time Solarium & Silver Screen Style! Don’t forget to pop into our official screenshot threads here and here to show off all your new palaces, makeovers, and solariums! So how many frogs have you kissed so far? Which new neighborhood have you moved into? I’m currently loving Bellacorde, and have been hard at work building a fancy estate for my new family 🥰 Ready to jump in? King Bergen surveying his new kingdom, posted here, by Ellupelluellu We’re starting the week off strong with a much needed group therapy session hosted by 2hCreations on the horrors of independent Sims. I’m a big fan of letting my Sims write their own stories through gameplay by leaving autonomy fully on, but that definitely comes with some consequences. I’ve had Sims cheat on their partners, get into fights, burn down kitchens, and even get crushed by a vending machine ☠️ But I want to hear about the shenanigans your Sims get into on their own- does your Sim tend to sabotage their relationships autonomously, or do they find themselves in more serious trouble? Be sure to pull up a chair and join our therapy session to vent away with us! Have you been looking for the perfect castle for your new royal family? Well search no more, ehaught58 has you covered in this intricate medieval style build, Cracked Stone Castle. This beautiful fortress is surrounded by an alligator filled moat and lush landscape with plenty of room for a full family 🐊🏰 It includes 5 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom, several cozy living and sitting rooms, a ballroom, and even a seance room hidden away in one of the towers. But that’s not all! This lot is full of little surprises and secret passageways, make sure you check it out and let us know what all you find! Up next, for all you incredible and talented builders out there- vicdanielle is looking for some help with a special build request for a legacy gameplay story. Here’s a bit of background- this build will be designed for a culinary arts university student who’s spending the last semester studying abroad in Mt. Komorebi 🍳🥘 The build will need to host cooking, gourmet cooking, and baking mentoring classes and include 6-8 cooking stations, a separate classroom, and a lounge and study area for the students. There are no pack restrictions, but the architecture should match Mt. Komorebi and include high-end and luxurious decor. So if you’re feeling inspired, give this build a go and show us what you create! In addition to this week’s pack launch, we’ve also all been super busy playing through Lost Legacies, and we’ve got a brand new gameplay story for this event called Lost Legacies Playthrough, written by PaxxieLovesDinos. This story follows Aurelia Espinoza-Cheng, a star student grappling to find her independence from her controlling parents. Her own destiny suddenly finds her as she’s approached by a mysterious woman who convinces Aurelia to uncover the secrets of the powerful Darong family. But what will she find? Can this mysterious woman be trusted? And what exactly will she do with this strange golden key? Tune in to find out, and see what fate has in store for her! 🗝️🕵️ And finally, we have a brand new gameplay challenge just in time for spring, The Floral Empire Challenge, created by Hearts_For_All. For this challenge, you’ll be curating a beautiful garden and selling your flowers for a living, all while you search for your soulmate and raise your heir. There are 5 different chapters, each with their own goals and rules, like achieving a level 10 gardening skill, or successfully running a 5 star business. So if you’re ready to get your flower business blooming, give this challenge a try! 🌼🌻💐 And that’s all for another wonderful week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and I hope you all have a great time exploring Ondarion! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire502Views16likes14CommentsFriday Highlights - February 6th
Sul Sul friends! Can you believe it’s already February, we are slowly but surely getting closer to Spring! I can't wait to get a bit more daylight everyday, but I have also enjoyed staying cosy and indoor... soon I'm going to feel like a grumpy bear coming out of hibernation 🐻 Check out what’s new: 🌟 On Tuesday, a new base game update went out, as well as the Lost Legacies Event. 🎉 On Wednesday, we celebrated The Sims’ 26th birthday! They grow up so fast… A stunning view of the Moon, shared here by SilverJanSims Now time for the highlights! 📚 Let’s start those highlights with the end of a beloved series here on the forums: the very last chapter of The Whittaker Saga has been released by JesLet40. The series has been following the family and its legacy from 1890 until 1985 - nearly a century of storylines with new drama and new characters. This last chapter is a great send off to the characters and wraps up the different plots, I won’t spoil too much and let you discover it on your own. It is a bit bittersweet to say goodbye to familiar characters, but it’s also great to have a good conclusion! The last lines of dialogue conclude the story in a very beautiful way. Thank you JesLet40 for sharing all the adventures of the Whittaker family with us and for creating a story that will remain a classic in the Sims community! 📒 Today in “Simmers are more organized than secret societies, heads of governments and kindergarten teachers during a school trip”, meet Frog0mg and the Sims Organization Sheet. If you are struggling with keeping up with all your sims and households, this simple yet very effective spreadsheet will become your new best friend. You can keep tabs of each individual sim and add any useful information such as their status, sim type, location, relationship status, and more! One thing to keep in mind: make sure to label it as your Sim Spreadsheet information, so that out of context it doesn’t look like you’ve been stalking your neighbours for the past decade! 🏰 With the release of Royalty & Legacy approaching, we are seeing more of you sharing older and newer castle builds (while some of us still struggle to add a simple roof on a square house… anyway). This week, Frostysirenfox is showcasing a Vampire Castle located in Forgotten Hollow, sitting over a plasma lake. It’s made from very dark stones and includes a throne room, a large master bedroom and study, and underground quarters for the servants. The garden is also beautifuly decorated so you can enjoy a little stroll while thinking of your next strategies to get rid of your opponents or on how to plan the best ball that will make all the other kingdoms jealous. Make sure to head over to the Gallery if you're interested in playing with this fabulous build! 👪 In need of a new challenge to kick off the month of February? ShellyE1 is sharing the Planet Premade Monthly Challenge: each month, the goal is to do a make over of a randomly selected premade household by upgrading their homes, creating special rooms that fit their personality, and doing a physical makeover if you feel like it. For February, the first household is going to be the two best friends from Discover University. All submissions will be discovered and streamed on Shelly’s Twitch channel, which will be a very fun way to see what everybody has come up with! 🔎 Finally, if you are looking forward to the next expansion pack Royalty & Legacy, you might be interested in EmmaVane's Q&A thread. EmmaVane has been invited to test out the new addition as part of the Creator Network and is answering any questions you might have about the pack before you make the decision to purchase it or not. This is very kind of them to answer questions and share any tips or advice about the pack - some of them being very specific guidance on various topics, such as characters and lots traits, swimmable areas, family trees and more! I strongly encourage you to take a look at all the replies, as your question might have already been answered! Alrighty, I hope you enjoyed the highlights! Have a great weekend, and see you soon! This giveaway will be open until February 10th, so be sure you enter, and best of luck everyone! I know we’ve all been prepping our games for Royalty & Legacy by creating new households and planning our builds, so Simmingal has kicked off this discussion dedicated to all your Ondarion Builds! Whether you’re already prepping a build, or waiting for release to get started, be sure to share your castles, noble manors or even marketplaces. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things you all create and get some inspiration for my own builds 😍 Speaking of prepping some incredible builds, this week we’re highlighting this stunningly intricate Chateau Du Wild-Spud, created by ManicPot8to. This incredible manor includes a detached kitchen and crop garden, servant’s quarters, horse stables and a peaceful tea garden overlooking a pond. And that doesn’t even include the main house! Inside the manor, you’ll find an elegant drawing room, a dark and moody library, and even a small chapel, all decorated with opulent decor and vintage furniture. While this magnificent estate is still a work in progress, it’s clearly fit for a royal family, and I cannot wait to see the finished build! 🏰✨ Up next, let’s celebrate everyone’s favorite childhood game with this Sims version of I Spy… created by Moochellie. To play, you’ll need to identify and locate the hidden detail in the screenshot. So how well do you really know The Sims? If you think you’re up for the challenge, be sure to play along, and don’t forget to share screenshots of your own hidden discoveries to keep the game going! 🔎🕵️ Let’s close our week out with a new generation for the “Sims Through the Years” Legacy Challenge, created by BissenNess. If you’re not already familiar with this challenge, each generation is focused on that particular year’s pack releases, and any skills, careers or aspirations are restricted to those specific packs, with all other gameplay content being locked. As you complete each generation, you’ll unlock more content to work with and new challenges. This week, generation 12 was released, and the challenge is Business Adventure 🏪💲 You’ll be completing a 2025 aspiration, skill, and career all while building and decorating a new mansion to live in. So if you’re ready to get started, be sure to check out this all-inclusive legacy challenge! And that’s a wrap folks! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire589Views20likes14CommentsFriday Highlights
Sul Sul folks! Can you believe it’s almost the end of January? We are heading to brighter and longer days for those in the northern hemisphere, finally! 🌄Most importantly, it’s almost the end of the week: do you have any exciting plans, or no plans at all? Gaming all day and snacking is an exciting plan, right? 😄 Let’s do a quick recap first of this week’s news… 🏰 On Monday, we revealed the world of Ondarion for the next expansion pack, Royalty & Legacy! 🗞️ On Thursday quite a few things happened… The gameplay trailer for Royalty & Legacy was released. We got a Discord Dev Drop In to get a sneak peek at the gameplay elements for this upcoming pack. And finally, The Sims and The Sims 2 have been added to the EA Play list! Quiet night in San Myshuno, posted here by Moochellie And now, time to jump into the highlights! 🤡 SimAmbassador is coming up with a very creative idea this week: creating sims based on memes or funny puns! This idea came up when noticing that a lot of builds don’t include clocks, which prompted the creation of Earl Lee II Bed, a wise thief who rises early (to steal food from other sims). And then came along Late IV Din-Air (she better not steal food too, she should show up on time for dinner!). Honestly, creating a full sim based on a pun, picking relevant traits and adding a matching backstory is a great work of art! As someone who has a passion for funny puns and memes, I absolutely respect the dedication. My only contribution was a grumpy sim I made years ago named “Jay Paletemps”, which would translate to “I don’t have the time” (or “j’ai pas le temps”), whose sole purpose what to be rude and mean to everyone… 🤭 📚 If you have been playing The Sims 4 for a while, you probably have a lot of builds, households and stories that you would like to keep track of. Well, you might find some motivation after you see PaxxieLovesDinos’ Sims Legacy, who just started a blog in order to compile all those experiences into one place! After playing for 6 years, there are already plenty of articles to keep track of all the different families and generations, as well as interesting recaps and details about all the various sims. So whether you’d like to catch up on what Dinos’ sims have been up to, or if you’d like some inspiration to start your own blog, make sure to check out the thread! 🏗️ For our Sims 3 simmers, we have another open world collaboration hosted by Hidehi2, Sandraelle and soocoolsim : Petite Alsace, inspired by the French cities of Strasbourg, Colmar and Ribeauville, that also carry a lot of German influence as they are very close to the border. As a Frenchie, I am very excited to see all of your creations, Alsace is such a beautiful place with the architecture, and there are already promising works in progress! As usual, everyone can join, claim a lot and start building while following the guidelines. Make sure to read the full post if you would like more information, and in the meantime we will follow the updates until the traditional Grand Reveal Video Tour! 🧐 If you are looking for a new fancy restaurant to add to your neighborhood, you might find some inspiration thanks to Kinetic_Speckle0’s Celebrity Restaurant. The decoration is very classy and elegant, with darker walls and white floors and a matching wallpaper for some of the separating walls. There are some plants and blue chairs and sofas that add a pop of colour and a nice contrast to the rest of the decor and a touch of originality. If your famous sims are worried about being recognized in public, they can use some of the more private seats in order to enjoy their meal in peace. In no time, this restaurant will become the hot spot for all the superstars! ✍️ Finally, what would be The Sims community without your fantastic stories? This week, JesLet40 is blessing us with a new chapter of the famous Whittaker Saga. In this new rendition, Cathy and Steve are living together and learn to compromise over the apartment layout and decoration. Beth in the meanwhile has moved into a new house, and she focuses on her job, fitness training and appreciation for eating in front of the TV. Carl and Sydney have also been moving into their dream house, but Carl must eventually tell Sydney about his past… That concludes another week! Thank you for the great contributions as always, and enjoy your weekend! Dag dag ✌️ Cath763Views23likes12CommentsFriday Highlights - January 16th

But what was Erik’s childhood like? How exactly did he rise to fame? And how did he and Kayleigh meet? Well, we’ve got a brand new story to follow thanks to GalacticGal, called Way Back, A Cantrell Restart. This story focuses on Erik’s younger years, as he tries to launch his career, settle into adulthood, and meets the woman of his dreams. This new chapter adds even more lore and history to an already famous family, so be sure to catch up if you can’t get enough of the Cantrell Saga! 🏆🎶 Let’s finish this week off with an impressively detailed Darkmoor Village inspired World for The Sims 3, created by KarilynMonroe2. This World is based on all our favorite classic movie monsters, each with their own themed attraction, like the Frankenstein Manor, a vampire themed steakhouse, and even a werewolf themed rollercoaster! This little village is fully walkable for your Sims, with room for 14 commercial lots and 9 residential lots. You can either download the world with all the lots ready to go, or you can grab an empty version and add your very own spooky themed lots! So if you’re a classic horror movie lover, be sure to check this world out 🧛🐺🧟 And that’s all for another wonderful week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚 Till next time! -EA_Solaire538Views21likes13CommentsFriday Highlights - January 9th
Sul Sul! Happy New Year!!! 🎉 Long time no see! I hope you had a nice time over the holiday season and are well rested to tackle 2026. How did you spend your time? I had a very lazy break, I stayed by the stove watching sitcoms, eating chocolates and filling colouring books, and it was glorious 🤗 A quick recap of the week: 🛁 The newest Laundry List was released on Tuesday and you can catch up on the details here. 🐮 On Thursday, a Cowplant Lore challenge started on Discord. You can check all the details here if you’d like to participate! Beak careful out there! posted here by sillyangel0906 Let's jump into the highlights! 📸 Are you ready to take on a yearly challenge? If you are, the One Month One World One Year Challenge 2026 by belalucina (originally started by Karababy52) might be for you. The goal is simple: start with a teen sim, make them move and explore worlds, and post one screenshot per day during the year of 2026. There are other rules for this challenge that you can read in detail on the thread, but at the end of the year, you will basically end up with a mini-diary of your sim’s life, scattered over a full year. I think this idea is very nice, it’s kind of like having a sim that is growing along with you every day. I can’t wait to see all of your screenshots at the end of the year, it’s a very fun project! 👶 Next up, purplexbutterfly has a very important question: they need to find who would be the best sim to become the father of the future child of a very famous actress. But it must be a father who should also not get involved in anything as the actress wants to raise the baby on her own (and does not want a tube baby). So, we need to find an attractive male sim, who will not hang around for too long after... easy peasy right? Don Lothario could be a great choice, but purplexbutterfly is not feeling it. So maybe Brant Hecking then, but he might be too committed 🤔 There are more recommendations in the thread, someone is suggesting that the actress could pick a film director for example. If you have any more ideas, make sure to share them in the thread. Let’s hope the actress finds her match! 🎄 If you or your sims are not over Christmas yet, BreeMiles created a great Holiday Restaurant for our Sims 3 players. So if you want to extend the holidays and experience some Christmas magic, this would be the perfect place! Inside, everything is decorated with red and green items: red bricks, green pillars, red wood, green cushions… with of course a big Christmas tree and a fireplace. The restaurant can accommodate small and large groups and small children as well. This beautiful build might come in handy if you are already nostalgic of the holiday season. 🏡 sirhc59 is back this week with another fabulous Family Home made with only base game items. This house contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and would be perfect for a large family or for a sim who needs a bit of space. There is a very nice back garden with a protected pool, so kids can roam and play freely. Inside, the rooms are nicely decorated with modern and colourful items. My favourite place is the luminous sun room at the side of the house, where sims can have a nice book or a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon, or doze off on the couch a sunny day. If you are interested, this build is available on the Gallery for download! Lastly, for those who are planning a wedding in their game, LaylaFrisknut is sharing lots of helpful tips and advice to make sure that everything goes according to plan. For example, don’t hesitate to kick out unwanted visitors who will show up unexpectedly. Or make sure that there is enough room for your sims to walk around, because having an obstacle while the bride or groom walks down the aisle would ruin the mood a bit. Jehane40 has also replied by adding other tips, such as using smaller venues if possible. The most important piece of advice is that you must accept that no matter what you do, your guests will arrive with the outfit that they picked… and it might not be the most fitting 🙈 And that concludes the very first highlights of the year 2026! Have a wonderful weekend folks, and see you soon! Dag dag! Cath563Views23likes11Comments
