Friday Highlights - September 19th
Sul sul everyone! Happy Friday! I feel that this week has been busy for everyone. Apparently, this could be explained by September's Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Virgo coming next week, which will supposedly bring life-changing shifts (very ominous) š. So I suggest that we all blame our problems and stress and other shennanigans on the Moon! Sims news were also impacted by the New Moon in Virgo, so buckle up: šŗļø On Monday, our Quality of Life Roadmap went out with lots of valuable information. š On Tuesday, September's Laundry List also came out with more details about the next bug fixes! š“ The Sul Sul Island Meme Challenge was also announced on that day. Head over to Discord to see what's up! šŖ On Wednesday, the Dev Drop In for Townies and Lore for The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits came out, giving out loads of gossips for the new townies of the upcoming expansion pack. š Thursday was patch day! As usual, you can read the full notes here. šÆ And finally, the newest in-game announcement, Forever Friends, will be with you soon! The perfect place to relax after a busy week⦠posted here by cchant86ā ā Weekly recap over, letās move on to the Highlights! šµ Letās kick it off with a question from Sthenastiaā : What type of music do you play on your community lots? Itās easy to get stuck in a routine, so a little bit of inspiration is always welcome. A lot of you put on music that fits with the theme and the location of the lot; for example Ranch music for Chestnut Ridge, Island Radio for Sulani⦠Itās a good way to listen to a bit of everything as youāre playing! Apparently, some simmers are playing with the sound off, so that gets rid of the problem. I tend to put on whatever music I want to listen to at that time, whether it fits the theme or not. Lately Iāve been listening to the Spooky radio a lot, because itās perfect for the season! What about you? Make sure to share some inspiration and let us know in the thread! š§ SilverJanSimsā has noticed that due to deaths occurring to particular sims during neighborhood stories, there have been households left with orphans, and has decided to help them out! Teenagers are being taken by other households to help them out until they grow up, while other parental figures are being created for infants, toddlers and children left with no parents, so that they still have a family to care for them. SilverJanSims is also writing background stories for the orphans, such as Veer Chandran who tragically lost his dad in a fire, before being taken in by his uncle Jim and his wife Britney and their young daughter Neveah. I think itās a really sweet initiative! š¤ šŖ This week, it's texanskyā's turn to share some stories from the 112 Day Challenge. For this challenge, you need to play with a sim across the four seasons and help them level up some skills before the next season starts, and we are following the adventures of Marlon as he progresses throughout the seasons. Marlon has been practicing his fishing skills and has been able to catch two big angelfish without bait just before a freezing event which left the lake completely icy. He has been very cautious anyway since he has been collecting lots of seeds and keeping fruits in his inventory. After doing some hours of community service, he came back to the ocean to catch some bigger fish this time. Just looking at all of this makes me feel tired already! š“ Letās wish Marlon a strong finish to this great adventure! š° Now this build would be the perfect lot to play Spooky radio: Eldevain Manor by Ennamoraā. Located in Ravenhood (obviously), this beautiful stone mansion is the perfect place to get cosy during autumn and winter seasons and to tell scary stories by the fire. It contains 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, a spacious living room and study, an old fashioned kitchen ready to be used by cooks, all decorated with taste and gothic elements. The outside with the big orange trees and statues is really impressive and adds to the eerie atmosphere š It is said that the Manor is haunted by the ghost of Lord Eldevain, so that your sims never feel truly alone⦠(how lucky) Anyway, itās ideal for that time of the year, so make sure to check out the build on the Gallery if youāre interested! š Finally, letās take a trip down memory lane thanks to BylineBelifeā who was reminded of an older sim that was part of a household years ago, and is asking us now if there are any sims that we feel nostalgic about. For some players, the nostalgia comes from some of their created sims, such as triplet siblings or their favourite couple, and for others it comes from premade sims such as Babs LāAmour who has been there since the beginning of The Sims 4. I still think about one of my favourite sim from The Sims 2: Tomo had an incredible house, the coolest style and had been married several times, so I was never bored of playing with her! I also remember the first pet I adopted in The Sims: Unleashed, which was a little black cat š„ŗš„ŗ What about you, what is the sim or household that is giving you nostalgia? Make sure to share in the thread! Alright peeps, I hope you have enjoyed this weekās highlights! Have a nice relaxing weekend, and see you soon! Dag dag! Exchanging vows under the roses, posted here, by potatmomā Ready to fall in love with this weekās highlights? Last week we finally got a look at the newest expansion pack, Adventure Awaits! I know weāve all already got quite a few ideas on what type of getaways and camps weāll be adding to our game, so catloverplayerā is asking - What are your plans for Camp Gibbi Point? As a lover of corny reality TV, my big plan is to add a gaudy mansion and run the ultimate elimination competition to host my very own Sims Bad Girls Club š So tell us what youāre planning - are you building a custom themed summer camp for kids, or maybe an thrilling waterpark? With those fabulous modular playgrounds, Iām sure weāll all be creating beautiful sprawling community parks! Let us know what youāre going to create and build, and any stories youāre planning! Up next, we have a beautiful renovation of San Myshunoās 19 Culpepper House, created by BansheeHVOā . This stunning reno includes one large bedroom, a full bath with a spacious walk-in shower, and a private home office with an incredible view of the charming Spice Market below š With exposed brick walls, modern furniture and calming brown tones, this apartment is the ultimate mixture of contemporary and industrial styles. So if youāre looking for the perfect spot to start your new life in the big city, youāll definitely want to check this reno out! The Natural Living skill has quickly become a new favorite since Enchanted by Nature launched, but letās kick it up a notch with a new gameplay challenge, The Natural Living Challenge, created by sailorleontineā. For this challenge, your end goal is to complete the botanist aspiration as well as finish the gardening section of your Simās notebook by collecting and studying each and every plant. This challenge does have a set list of rules to follow, like you must start on an empty lot with 0 Simoleons, no electricity or technology allowed, and no build/buy items are allowed to be placed on your home lot. Youāll really be putting your Sims Natural Living skills to the test with this challenge, so give it a try and let us know how you did! šæš» And for our Sims 3 players, we have a gameplay challenge story written by HotBlackSandā called the 112 Day Challenge. Kathy Ragsdale is the star of this story, and this week she gears up for the fall season by focusing on her writing and Plasma Bug farming. As the simoleons begin to roll in from her various endeavors, she further secures her finances by investing and purchasing properties. With no need to worry about money, she can now spend her time hunting down her personal white whale- the elusive Life Fruit seed. So will she eventually find it? Will her investments prove successful or will they be a bust? Tune in to find out, and see how Kathy fares for the last two seasons of this challenge! šāļø Weāll wrap our week up by keeping the hype going for the newest expansion with yet another fabulous Q&A: Adventure Awaits. Sul sul everyone! September is already here! If you are back to school or work this week, I hope the transition has been kind for you, let us know how it went! And if youāre on holiday or planning to go soon, well thatās great, weāre all delighted for you and not jealous at all š Letās recap what happened this week: On Tuesday, the teaser for the next Expansion Pack went out⦠š And on Thursday, the full trailer for The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits came out! šļøš¹ Are you excited yet? We also got a new patch on Thursday. As usual, you can catch up on the notes here! Well, a LOT happened on Thursday (ālotā, get it? Because weāre building on lots and⦠ok, moving on), so make sure you didnāt miss the Cabin Shell Challenge that just started on Discord! š ļø Relaxing one last time before going back to reality... posted here, by leucosiaxā And now letās jump into the highlights! Some are back to school, others like sailorleontineā are back in business with the Small Businesses Ideas thread! Tired of building tattoo shops and pottery classes? This thread should give you plenty of inspiration for your next enterprise, such as offering after-school classes like knitting or cooking, or yoga lessons. Since weāre in the height of Spooky Season (yes, in September), I particularly like the idea of occult schools - could our sims learn the basics of calling a sĆ©ance maybe? š® The small business idea could be working very well with the new Adventure Awaits pack, since one of you noticed the spinning classes from the trailer š“ If you have an interesting idea for a small business, make sure to share it with us in the original thread! Next up, Intern_Waffle_64ā has an interesting question for us: letās pretend that The Sims 4 did not receive any new content after its 4-year release. This would bring up the gameās state with 6 expansion packs, 6 game packs, and 13 stuff packs. Could you play the game with this content, and only this content? No horses, no werewolves, no fairies, no college or high school, or no kits? š¤ I originally thought I would be fine because my favourite packs, Cats and Dogs, would be included, as well as Seasons. However I know I would get stuck once I start building and decorating houses, because I always use the same items from Cottage Living⦠what would I do without the Wild Wood Rug with the bunnies that Iāve been using in all my living rooms? šØ I think I would also miss terribly the Pastel Pop Kit... How about you, is there a pack or kit that you just could not see yourself play without? Would you do well in this challenge? Holiday season may be over, but we can still escape with Hidehi2āās Piccolo Mondo in The Sims 3, inspired by the beautiful area of Cinque Terre in Italy, and the resemblance is uncanny šļøš It features the famous colourful houses built on the cliffs by the seaside and the harbour, a bay area, and it is surrounded by beautiful green hills. There are plenty of accommodation options for your sims with a wide range of builds that all have unique characteristics. Entertainment is also provided so you can go to the taverns for a bit of fun, head to the library if you prefer a quiet environment, go sailing and even more! The world map looks stunning and Iām sure it took a lot of time to come up with this result. šļøš So make sure to check out the full map for a nice Italian summer trip, or to settle there definitely! As we are approaching fall season, we tend to see a lot of haunted houses or spooky mansions, and donāt get me wrong, I absolutely love these! But this time, cozysimslifeytā is sharing with us a beautiful Autumn Family Apartment ššÆļø. Candles, pumpkins, terracotta and soft yellow colours are the perfect decor to already feel comfortable and snug like a bug in a rug š The living room curtains are perfectly on brand too, and they look adorable! The apartment includes an open kitchen with a living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom, the ideal size for single couples or parents with a child. So if youāre in search of inspiration for the upcoming fall season, make sure you take a look at this amazing apartment makeover! Finally, letās finish off with mikkimouse1978āās Blog Series: The Hunterās Journal. In this intriguing story, we get a glimpse into the main characterās diary, detailing her research and preparation to hunt a powerful vampire⦠š§ She has sworn to take revenge on Vladislaus Straud, responsible for the murder of her grandfather twenty years ago, and she will not back down until she is finished with her task! Taking on such an impressive figure is nothing for this young female sim who has been thoroughly prepared, and she seems to have the perfect plan in mind already... Will her attempt be in vain, or will she succeed? This vampire hunter series is perfect for colder and darker nights, and it is beautifully written. If you donāt want to miss out the next chapter, head over to the thread right now! Itās time for us to say goodbye, but we will see each other very soon! Best of luck if you are planning your school or your work return š Until next time! Dag dag āļø Cath281Views16likes10CommentsFriday Highlights - July 25th
Sul Sul peeps! Those are the last highlights of July, which means that this year is passing scaredly fast, and also that we are halfway through the summer for us North Hemispherians. Have you been up to anything exciting, or still waiting to go on holiday? Or did you enjoy the summer spending time at home? Are you ready for Spooky Season yet? ⦠wait⦠who said that? 𤨠Letās just see what you may have missed this week: On Tuesday, we announced the coolest giveaway ever on Discord. Make sure to enter here and you could be among the 10 lucky folks to win a āØBunBun the Fairy Freezer Bunny Plushie Keychain⨠Also, make sure to check out this cool deep dive into the new music, tracks and artists of Enchanted by Nature. And be sure to enjoy the Sims 25th Birthday Mix playlist š That must have been a shock for this sim, shared here by MeggoSimsā Letās check out this weekās highlights! This week, HollownessDevourā is bringing you fun new ways to play the game with an investigation regarding funny and interesting traits, item and lifestyle combinations for your sims. If youāre always picking the same traits and would like to change it up a bit, this thread will give you some inspiration! For example you could pick the traits Romantic and Jealous and see how your sim adapts. But my favourite combination is Plant Lover and Loner, because it lets you gain social and entertainment when you speak to your plants! š¤ This thread is collaborative, so if you ever noticed a funny or interesting combination make sure to share it! š You can also let us know if you would recommend the pairing or if it made the game a bit too difficult to handle. We can't wait to see what everybody comes up with! Now is the time for the next chapter of one of my favourite Sims 3 story, The Marsden Farm Challenge by texanskyā š My favourite character, Phoenix the Magician, has aged up since last time we covered the story and has become an adult, and so did a lot of his other siblings, and there has been a new addition to the family with baby August, who is now a toddler š¶ In this new chapter, Bucky and Wanda got a great news to share, gnomes are gathering in the garden, and Phoenix is performing his magic in the Performance Park - it looks like heās getting a lot of tips as he has mastered the Disappearing Sim trick! All the characters are moving forward and itās very nice to see that they all have different interests and paths, but they seem all very happy š¤ Next up, NoahLGPā wants to know what are the in-game features that you like but turn off, and why you disabled them š The Sims is one of those games that everyone plays differently because it gives players a lot of options and tools that can be turned on or off, so pretty much all of our gameplays are very unique. Therefore, it's a great question! Itās very interesting to read all the different replies and the justifications as to why some features are disabled. A lot of you turned off Wishes and Fears, extreme seasonal events, or Social Bunny for adults. Personally, I havenāt recovered yet from The Simsā original and terrifying burglar music so that was one of those features that I turned off immediately when it came out! š How about you, what features are you disabling, or allowing, and why? Weād love to know! This week, Marjia01ā is showcasing the perfect fancy summer house, Truly Modern. Truly Modern is a 3-bed family home with a pool, patio, spacious balconies and more š“ It feels perfect for summer, I can see sims throwing a great barbecue and pool party and becoming the most popular neighbours around š My favourite touch is the little pond that surrounds the front window and the side of the house, itās such a beautiful addition and it fits in flawlessly. And the bushes on the left are perfect to give a bit of privacy. I also love how the house is elevated and how the entrance steps are built. If you think that Truly Modern is a good fit for your household, make sure to check it out on the Gallery! An interesting question is brought to us by Lion-In-A-Teacupā , who is asking how do players keep track of their games - and especially if they have different scenarios and timelines going on and have to step away from playing for a little while. After reading the replies, Iām really impressed by the level of organization and dedication you folks have š³ It seems that pretty much all of you are writing down information and details onto notebooks or notepads, screenshots and Word documents š And also, I'm noticing that some of you are playing a lot of households at the same time! I guess keeping written notes of everything that is going on probably helps, but handling two hundred sims is out of my depths š I think that itās very sweet to have a trace of the stories and achievements of our sims outside of the main game. I would love to see some āout of contextā notebook pages about your sims! Finally as a little extra even though this hasn't happened this week: we just wanted to make a quick shout out to the Bayou Bijou Collaboration that has officially been completed! Congratulations to all of you who participated, the world and the builds are all unique and beautiful. And congrats to soocoolsimā , Hidehi2ā and Sandraelleā for organising the collaboration!ā And with this, we conclude another week of highlights. I will be off now to enjoy some sunshine, and I'll see ya back in August š Dag dag! Cath š“355Views24likes15CommentsFriday Highlights - August 29th
Sul Sul everyone! Itās our favorite day of the week and September is just around the corner. Have you got any exciting plans for the long weekend ahead? Any fun trips planned before summer is over? Let me know what youāve been up to! Now letās get on to this weekās highlights! Babs and Georgia hug their dear friends goodbye, posted here, by Ellupelluelluā The Sims 4 recently turned 11 years old, which means plenty of time to rack up your Time Played hours in the EA app, so Simian868ā wants to know - How many hours have you played? While Iām impressed with my personal 4,623 hours (a total of 192 days!) since the game first launched, I know this is peanuts compared to some of you. So how many hours are you currently clocked in at, and how long have you been playing? Be sure to show off all those hours played, and letās see whoās got the most! ā²ļøā²ļøā²ļø This week the worldās best seasonal drink returned to Starbucks, so to celebrate the massive amounts of Pumpkin Spice Lattes Iāll be consuming, we're showing off this new challenge created by Storytellerwhimsā, Thatās So Starbucks Legacy. There are 10 generations to play through, each inspired by legendary Starbucks drinks with fitting backstories, rules and goals. This challenge is a tall order, so if youāre in need of a little caffeine-fueled pick me up in your game, or even just looking for new drink ideas for your Starbucks order, youāll want to check out this new challenge! āš„¤ Up next, our very own rosemowā has created a brand new Share Your WIP discussion to show off all your not quite finished, but still impressive creations! Thereās nothing I love more than swooning over all the fantastic things this community makes, so why wait until theyāre fully finished to show them off? Whether youāre wanting a place to flaunt your newest unfinished builds, or even looking for some feedback on decor, be sure to share with us what youāre currently working on š§šļø And once youāve finished, donāt forget to share in the long running Newest Creations discussion here so we can admire all your hard work! Need a build to show off in the WIP thread? No worries, 7cjqum2k33j2ā has you covered with this new gameplay challenge - Rebuilding Newcrest. This is a 10 generation challenge focused on rebuilding and redesigning the world of Newcrest as each generation will complete bigger and more expensive builds to pass on to their heirs. From a cramped camper all the way to a grandiose mansion, youāll have a specific set of rules to follow on how to earn money, what lot size to build, and even a set color palette for your homeās decor. So if youāre ready for a fun new challenge, get building, and be sure to share what you create! š§±š” And to finish us up, we have an occult legacy gameplay story written by Maireaineā called The Munster Legacy. This week marked the beginning of generation 3 as we follow heir Stella Munster, a young and talented gardener. She aspires to revive her neighborhood and leave the world a better place, but little does she know, fate has a different plan in store. So will Stella find out her true destiny? Will she be able to mark her own path, separate from her fatherās legacy? Make sure you tune in to find out! š±š³ And that's a wrap for the month of August! As always have a wonderful weekend, stay safe, and happy Simming š Till next time! -EA_Solaire272Views17likes13CommentsFriday Highlights - August 22nd
Sul Sul folks! I hope youāve all had a fantastic week, and what better way to start the weekend than trying out the new creator kits? Let's just say, my sims will be more glammed up than myself this weekend⦠Hereās what happened this week: On Monday, the Dev Diary regarding Ailments went live. If youāre interested in this topic, make sure to check it out! On Tuesday the latest game patch was released. You can catch up all the patch notes here. On Thursday we released Essential Glam and Grange Mudroom. If you have or will pick up one of those kits, make sure to share screenshots with us on the traditional screenshot thread! goddess83ā's first mudroom, posted here Time for the highlights! Who said the wedding season was almost over? š Certainly not BriiBear12ā , who loves photographing weddings šø Letās just take a moment here to appreciate the beautiful pictures: the angle, the poses, the colours⦠Honestly, they look like professional pictures! Fernie and Nikolai opted for a Sylvan Glade wedding with a whimsical and fairy vibe, while Kalora and Keiran decided to get their pics taken in a beautiful flower field with butterflies. Which of those settings and pictures do you prefer? While itās tough to choose, I absolutely love the first one with the sunset vibe and colours, itās very beautiful and inspiring. Do you have any favourite wedding pics? Make sure to share them with us! Wedding season may be over soon, but it is definitely back-to-school season and ManicPot8toā has the perfect build to share with us: Tiny Sprite Academy, a whimsical daycare for toddlers š§ The build includes a pastel playroom with plenty of toys to develop your tiny simsā creativity, a snack room and a nap area. Toddlers can also use the playground outside and even attend a puppet show. The owner Marigold will be there to greet you and take care of all the kids, and she even has her own cosy space upstairs. That would be the ideal place for any toddlers, but specifically for fairies! The building in itself looks stunning with stone walls and ivy growing everywhere, and lots of flowers around š¤ So make sure to catch the full house tour if you're interested! Next up, we got two new chapters this week for The Evergreen Legacy created by Lizzielilyyā. The end of school year is already there, and Hunter and Lief were nervous to open their results transcripts⦠for no reason, because they both passed with the best grades š The two siblings celebrated with the graduation ceremony and plenty of pictures taken with their proud parents, but Hunter feels that he isnāt done with university yet! When they returned to their home shortly before winter, their sister Holly got a wonderful news, but tragedy suddenly struck the family. However, the whole clan tried to overcome it the best they could and it pulled them closer together as they celebrated Hollyās birthday. It looks like the Evergreens are not done yet with unexpected events, but Iām sure they will pull through once again as they always do! šŖ In need of new challenges? Look no further, JAY-CAMAROGIRL-ā has plenty to offer, starting up with the Summerās Last Splash CAS Challenge š- how very fitting! How would your sim spend the last days of summer? Would they enjoy some peaceful time on the beach, go on a last camping trip, or attend a festival? š This is all up to you in this challenge, as you will need to create 1 to 4 sims with the Love Outdoor traits. Then, simply take pictures of your sims making the best out of their final summer days with the tag #JCGSummerSplash and make sure to share it in the thread! It looks like JAY-CAMARAOGIRLās sim is having a nice relaxing time in Sulani - I have to say, that makes me a bit jealous š Finally if youād like to try out one of the new creator kits, Grange Mudroom and Essential Glam, simgirl1010ā is hosting her traditional kit giveaway: in total, two codes are available for each kit. To enter the giveaway, simply comment on the thread (simgirl1010ās thread, not this one) your first and second choice of kit. The giveaway ends at 12am EST on August 27th and the winners will be announced the following day. Make sure to participate and just be sure to not spell out āEssential Clamā of āGrange Mushroomā like I always do šš Alrighty, itās already time to say goodbye already but we will see you very soon! Enjoy your weekend and remember to stretch your back if youāre spending all your time gaming this weekend 𤸠Dag dag š Cath347Views15likes13CommentsFriday Highlights - August 15th
Sul Sul folks! I hope everybody has been keeping well! I am back from vacation, fully rested (almost) and even though we are still in the summer season, I am already in the-back to-school mood. By the way, did you notice that we are already in the middle of Aug-tober? Halloween is basically next week š¤ Letās catch up on the news first: On Thursday, we revealed our next Creator Kits, Essential Glam and Grange Mudroom that will be launching on August 21st! Make sure to not miss out the traditional screenshot thread if you are tempted to pick up one of these! (I had accidentally typed āEssential Clamā - should we ask for a kit to glamorize our fellow sea creatures? š š) Beautiful scenery in Oasis Springs, shared here by Moochellieā Time for the highlights! Letās start off with a very summery build by MsDSweetsā, Letās Go Camping, which is a campsite lot (obivouslyā¦) inspired by a TV show - the build is actually shaped like a real camping tent! āŗ One side of the tent is completely see-through, offering your sims a beautiful view without having to step outside. Inside, you will find not-so-basic amenities for camping such as a dining table, a couch with a stove, a lounge corner to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea, plenty of storage, and a private area with a bunk bed. There is also an area designed to park and protect your car - very fancy! We even have a little backstory where we can see MsDSweets' sims enjoying their romantic camping trip (and surviving a snow storm, so you know that the tent is sturdy). As someone who hates camping, I would actually love to try out this version š¤ The summer season is the perfect time to play with mermaids, and cchant86ā has some news to share regarding mermaid Pakaāa and the rest of the family. After marrying fairy sim Celeste, they had four daughters together - two fairies and two mermaids, the perfect balance! Pakaāa unfortunately suffered a terrible case of dying of laughter but he still had the chance to say his goodbyes and was reborn in a lovely mermaid family in Sulani. This is an exciting new beginning, I hope he will get to see his daughters (who are much older than him now) in his new life! Letās hope to an exciting new future for Pakaāa, I'm sure he is going to make a splash š For our history lovers, GalacticGalā has been sharing a very interesting project and is telling us all about it š Inspired by family history, the game is set in the 1700s before the Independence War in what we know now as the United States. GalacticGal has decided to remake some of the houses that settlers had built back in the day - including pictures of her ancestorsā habitation and farm! We can see a recreation of two settler cabins (and comparison with a very old picture so you could see what they looked like in real life), and a settler business trading post. Everything looks very authentic with a great attention for details. GalacticGal is sharing very interesting facts about the life of settlers at the time so I encourage you to go take a proper look and expand your knowledge! š¤ I think itās time for a new chapter of the Marsden Farm Challenge started by texanskyā. The Marsdens and the Paynes are dealing with their day-to-day life, focusing on their careers or children and everything seems to be going well. Casey, August and September are enjoying nice family time together, while Phoenix the Magnificent is still thriving in his Magician career. In this chapter, an intriguing visitor comes to the Payne household with groundbreaking news: he is Phoenixās grandfather! š® Those two will have a lot to catch up, but not now as Phoenix was heading on a date and then on a gig where he learned to levitate. š§ It looks like everyone was keeping busy in another chapter full of details! Last but not least, mikkimouse1978ā had one of those funny drama moments in the game recently: My sim just had an affair in front of his wife š¶ Nothing out of the ordinary in our Sims worlds and stories, but wait until you learn the full story: the husband cheated in front of his current wife with his ex-wife... AND when the husband was still with the ex-wife, he cheated on her with the current wife⦠You will be surprised to learn that despite this peculiar behaviour, no one got mad and everybody is acting like nothing just happened - well I donāt see why the husband should get mad, but his two lovers seemed to be taking it well. Good for them⦠I guess ?? I feel that all parties should try being single for a little while to reflect on everything that happened š Have you ever encountered a dramatic situation that just didnāt bother your sims at all? Donāt hesitate to share it with us! And thatās another wrap for this week, have a great weekend and weāll see you soon š Dag dag! Cath303Views19likes11CommentsFriday Highlights - August 8th
Sul Sul everyone! Itās finally Friday, and what a week itās been! Itās still unbearably hot here in Texas, but Iām slowly getting in the mood for cozy fall weather and patiently waiting to bust out my Halloween decorations š Have you all had an exciting week? What fun plans have you got for the weekend? Tell me all about it! But first, letās recap what happened this week: On Tuesday, a new Discord challenge was announced - Sim Your Summer! Share a story about how your Sim survived their summer vacation and the outfits they wore for a chance to win a DLC prize bundle. For the full breakdown on this contest, check out the announcement post here! A Knight to Remember, posted here, by lanlynk And now itās time to check into this weekās highlights! Speed builds are always so relaxing to watch, so this quaint and homey Fairy Family Cottage created by cozysimslifeyt is exactly what I needed. This magical cottage was designed for a small fairy family and includes a nursery, a master bed and bathroom decorated in natural and earthy tones, and a small front garden to forage and play in. With all the whimsical fairycore vibes you could ever ask for, this humble little home is perfect for any new fairy family! āØšŖ And up next, we have a heartwarming gameplay story by tamersmile888 called Short and Sweet Legacy. This story follows Brynlee Sutherland who dreams of making it big as an A list celebrity, and her brother Cole, an aspiring streamer and influencer. This is a fresh spin on the ever popular Not So Berry and Very Veggie challenges based on fruit, and while this is still a work in progress, this week weāve got the details on the first generation. The theme for generation 1 is apple as you try to disprove the old adage of the apple not falling far from the tree. Your goal is to complete the soulmate aspiration and start your own family despite your snobby and hot-headed traits. So will you be able to tone down your short-temper and maintain a successful relationship, unlike your parents? Give this challenge a try, and be sure to keep an eye out to see whatās in store for the next generation! šš³ Some Sims are incredibly talented artists, so LeaderFaisalMuba is sharing their recent masterpiece painting created on a sketchpad, and it is impressive! This ethereal classic painting is definitely worth showing off, and looks just like something youād find in a Smithsonian exhibit. So what wonderful things have your Sims created lately? Does your Sim specialize in knitting or cross-stitching? Or maybe they prefer crafting beautiful jewelry or pottery? Whatever your Simās skill is, be sure to show off all their most prized art! šļøšØ Letās finish our week off with a through the ages legacy gameplay story, The Evergreen Legacy, written by Lizzielilyy. This week marked the beginning of Hunterās story and the 10th generation of the Evergreen family. Hunter has just finished his first year of college at the prestigious Sims University, and between balancing school work and social life, he struggles to find a sense of belonging among his peers and yearns for a deeper connection. So will he find what heās looking for as he returns for his sophomore year? Will he muster up enough courage to confess his true feelings for Ashley? And will Leif finally straighten up his act? The final chapters will be released soon, so be sure to tune in and see what happens! š«š And thatās all for another wonderful week! As always have a wonderful weekend, stay safe, and happy Simming š Till next time! -EA_Solaire260Views19likes11CommentsFriday Highlights - August 1st

You can read up on all the details for this challenge here. Malcolm IV performs for Bella the cow, posted here, by Smellincoffee Ready for this weekās udderly wonderful highlights? Neighborhood Stories can sometimes get a little weird, just like this Whoopsie! that Sim_MRM has recently discovered in their game. While checking their family tree, the infamous Geoffrey Landgraab has been caught red handed canoodling around with a not so secret lover. What will poor Nancy do? Maybe this will finally give her the courage to kick Geoffrey to the curb and take the power company for herself ā”š¢ So what kind of shenanigans have you seen in your game with Neighborhood Stories? Have you found any other ruined relationships, or maybe some unfortunate accidental deaths? Tell us all the crazy things that have happened in your game! If youāre still not getting quite enough whimsy in your gameplay with fairies, donāt worry, ManicPot8to has you covered with an incredible build, Wildflower Glen. This intricate little village is made up of five unique areas for cozy cottage life, fanciful forest lore, and mysterious magical discoveries all nestled around a scenic and lush river. Youāll find a pastel colored cafe, a witchy apothecary shop, and a homey cottage where you can practice your alchemy š§āāļøšæš Thereās a few other secrets around this village that I wonāt spoil, so be sure to check it out yourself to see what you can find! Up next, we have a world save legacy challenge from GLovely1 called Dumpster Dynasty. This challenge takes place in a remodeled version of Evergreen Harbor as you start with your founding Sim, Lark Meadows. Youāll make a living solely on dumpster diving and yard sales with the end goal of purchasing a junkyard lot to clear out and build your dream home. There are a total of 8 main goals to work towards, each with a minor goal and a special reward. So if youāre wanting to try an eco-friendly version of living off the land, this challenge is just for you! šÆšļø Fall and cozy weather is just around the corner, so letās settle in with a gameplay story from Addyās Comfy Corner, written by adwilson. This story follows Addy, an avid collector who dreams of opening her own museum to showcase her extensive collections. This week, Addy is looking to finally complete her frog collection by hunting down the ever elusive death frog. While searching around Ravenwood, she makes some new discoveries and meets some very mysterious folks that lead her on a new quest⦠So what all will she uncover in this spooky world, and what new collectables will she encounter? Will she ever find out what that strange raccoon in a trench coat wants? Make sure you tune in to find out! šøš And to finish us off this week, we have one of those most unique gameplay challenges Iāve ever come across, Snob Sim trapped in a mansion (but without a toilet), created by penguinNMPR. This challenge is exactly what it sounds like - youāll be locking a Sim in a house worth at least $100,000 with no toilets on the lot. Youāll start with no money, and your end goal is to earn enough to purchase the most expensive toilet in the game. But thereās a catch! Your Sim isnāt allowed a full-time job, and canāt leave the lot. Youāll also need to be sure all bills are fully paid, and all existing furniture is in pristine and working condition. If anything catches on fire or breaks, youāll have to replace that exact item before you can finally purchase your coveted toilet. So if youāre looking for some new slightly unhinged challenges to try, be sure to check this one out, but maybe hire a maid to help clean up first... š½šø And thatās going to wrap us up for the last week of July! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, stay safe, and happy Simming š Till next time! -EA_Solaire278Views24likes10CommentsFriday Highlights - July 18th
Sul Sul simmers! It has been more than a week since Enchanted by Nature has been released! Have you been able to try it out yet? How are you currently playing this pack? I have been having so much fun with Build Mode and floating around as a fairy. First, letās recap what happened this week: š On Wednesday we released an e-patch for The Sims 4, you can catch up on the notes here! š Finally, donāt miss out on the Eco Lifestyle giveaway on Discord for a chance to win a copy of this pack! DIY with gnomes, shared here by DiscipleOfDuatā Now letās check out this weekās highlights! Letās kick off those highlights with a nice challenge offered by simszfreakzā : The Sirenās Curse Challenge š§āāļø, which is a story-based supernatural challenge that will be played over different generations. The legend says that a long time ago, a mermaid made a deal with the ocean to protect her child. In exchange, all mermaids born from this bloodline will pass when their child reaches teenagehood, if they were born mermaid⦠In this challenge, your start off as a regular sim who turns into a mermaid, you must have a child and your mermaid must pass away when the child becomes a teenager. If the child is born human, the curse is lifted! There are specific rules so I encourage you to check out the thread before you venture into the challenge. Good luck! This week for our Sims 3 players, we are getting an update from HotBlackSandā for the Hidden Springs Reimagined story, which is focusing on Jessica Willow. Her military career was stagnant, so she decided instead to focus on a new career of being an International Spy šµļøāāļø In this new chapter, we learn that Jessica has been doing pretty well since she had made it to International Super Spy! However the needs for this new career seem to be taking a toll on Jessicaās private life, and we all know that work-life balance is important, so she might be considering another career path. With all those skills and experience with her, Iām pretty sure she can become anything that she wants - letās see what new adventures await her! If you are looking for inspiration to build houses in Enchanted by Nature, make sure to take a look at all the creative players from Simmingalā's Share Your Innisgreen Builds thread! š” I feel that the items from this pack are very versatile and the build combinations are limitless. But if you feel overwhelmed by all the different elements, Iām sure this thread will come in handy for you. We can already see a very promising work-in-progress build situated in the middle of the trees, as well as a manor for fairies for biggest households (who says fairies only need small homes?). Make sure to share your Innisgreen builds or to take a look for inspiration, I canāt wait to see what you creative folks come up with šØ This time, we will focus on one particular build, ADashofAsh90āās Floral Fairy Hobbit Home. As you may have guessed from the title, itās the perfect place for your fairies and nature lovers, or just for shorter sims š This build is a very cute 1-bedroom home completely surrounded by grass and flowers, with a beautiful gazebo on the top of the house to relax with a nice book or cup of tea. The interior is very cosy and whimsical and would be perfect for a couple or a single sim with a pet or two. I honestly don't know if I prefer the interior decoration or the outside: despite living in a smaller home, there is a sizable garden. You can even bring your farm animals there as there already is a stable and plenty of space in the plot for them. If this was real, I know I would trade my home for this one in a heartbeat. š Storytellers, this is your time to shine once again! āļø Lion-In-A-Teacupā is currently playing a legacy sims family and needs ideas to continue the storyline. The current household is a family of occults with werewolves and vampires, so this is an interesting start! The story should focus on the three children of a couple of occult sims, so that leaves the door open to a lot of different scenarios. Someone has suggested creating clubs for the childrenās hobbies to keep them (and Lion-In-A-Teacup) engaged. I also like the idea of creating an enemy clan for a more dramatic story, Twilight style š If you have any other suggestions, make sure to share them in the thread. I canāt wait to see what Lion-In-A-Teacup decides to do with the characters! And that concludes another week of highlights! Have a great weekend folks and see you next week! Dag dag! š Cath300Views21likes10Comments
