Hello! Is it possible that Ukrainian subtitles and text will be added to the game in the future? At the same time, there are a very large number of players from Ukraine, and I am one of them, who would like to play a game and be able to understand the meaning of what is happening in it. Thank you.1.2KViews0likes2CommentsRefeul the engine north bug

I'd like to share my opinion on EA’s handling of the Dead Space franchise. We already know what happened with Visceral Games, and also much of what the company expected from the title itself. I’d say the president at the time was somewhat misguided when it came to survival horror games. This obsession with sales numbers has never really sat well with me, even for the most well-known titles like Resident Evil 4, whose sales figures aren't that impressive when compared to a multiplayer war FPS like Battlefield or Call of Duty. If there’s one thing the Dead Space franchise has, it’s critical acclaim. I think that alone was enough to solidify it as a cult classic in the genre. It made its impact, made noise, and still teaches lessons in several aspects of the genre, with a unique identity. But beyond that, we need to understand that certain strategies just shouldn’t be expected from a game like this—especially when a company tries to aim for something almost impossible within the genre, except in very specific cases. That said, a Dead Space 2 remake would be more than welcome. Not just because of the reimagining with modern visuals, but because of the potential it carries—particularly in terms of atmosphere, narrative construction, and world-building. Yes, a Dead Space 2 remake could be the foundation for a fully explorable version of the Sprawl, which was already a massive setting, even though it was linear in the original. What makes me think about this is the sheer size of the Sprawl and how many side missions could be created to deepen the lore of the outbreak and its characters—just as the Ishimura was given more freedom with its interconnected design. That same logic makes me believe the scale could be far greater, adding new bosses and enemy types, as well as expanding on hallucination sequences and improving existing boss fights like the Stalker. Just imagine that interconnected world like the Ishimura, now expanded into a semi-open world that gradually unlocks, giving you the choice to revisit areas as access codes are found. That alone would elevate the atmosphere to an unprecedented scale. So a Dead Space 2 remake project could very well become one of the most ambitious survival horror remakes in history. And of course, with that level of change, creation, and design, it would take quite a long time to develop. I can’t imagine EA greenlighting it and expecting a quick release. It would likely be something aimed for the next generation of consoles, precisely due to its potential. Let’s not forget that Visceral created the original sequel in just three years after the first game. The difference today is that to make a truly great game, development would have to be on a much bigger scale. I also think that, if possible, EA should think about a very smart and strategic marketing plan, especially in times when the game could benefit from a proper hype cycle. It’s easy to see that the marketing strategy for the 2023 Dead Space remake wasn’t the most favorable—mainly due to competing titles. Still, it was a critically acclaimed remake. I’d also love to see them invest in natural lighting techniques, avoiding overreliance on ray tracing, while giving proper focus to optimization. But anyway, this is just a fan’s wish!Dead Space 2023 difficulty related achievements
Hello. I know the game has some achievements if you complete it from Medium difficulty and above. Problem is: I switched to Easy to let my gf play for a while. Can I just switch to Medium again and have the achievement when I'll complete the game, or you have to play whole run at same difficulty setting?Unable to Sprint/Run or Aim - PC
Hi! I'm running this game on Steam and I have the sprint and aim bug, I can't sprint and I'm stuck in aim mode. I pickup my weapon and then just get instantly stuck in aiming mode. On the original, I read it used to be solved by pressing caps lock, but that didn't work in this game. I have it installed on an SSD so I know that isn't something of an issue! And when I open my menus, the weapon fires as well!Solved8.9KViews0likes37CommentsUnable to change windowed resolution on PC
Bought this on Friday to stream (PC, Epic Games store), but unfortunately the game appears to have no resolution options for windowed mode? I can edit the resolution in fullscreen, but this doesn't appear to persist through to windowed mode, meaning that the window ends up about 600x800 instead of 1080 or 1440p, which is how I would normally stream a game as it lets me tab in and out to multitask without causing performance issues. I'm not overly confident that fullscreen is changing the resolution either, as it should be 4K but nothing looks sharp enough for that to be the case. GPU is a 3070, everything else is comfortably above minimum spec and was homebrewed two years ago, latest NVIDIA drivers are installed, and I have a dual monitor setup which the game can see when picking which screen to fullscreen to. Very happy to wait for a patch as I've got far too many games to get through, but just wondering if anyone has a quick fix for this? I've only really found mentions of the PS5 version and upscaling, or framerate issues on PC - nothing along the lines of a resolution getting stuck.Dead Space Remake
Dead Space Remake feels way more atmospheric than the original. I had serious doubts at first since I jumped straight from the original trilogy to this remake. And honestly, the original was already atmospheric by nature — but the remake takes that to the nth degree. And that’s a good thing. I never really got a proper scare in the original — at most, some overwhelming tension. Here in the remake, that tension is still very present but now wrapped in a much more punishing and terrifying atmosphere. You genuinely feel uncomfortable walking around without ammo — and even with ammo, you still feel vulnerable. I’m still on Chapter 6, and I noticed right from the beginning that they’ve modified and reused some mechanics from the second game — which is absolutely brilliant, because the side missions now add way more depth and mystery to the lore. I’ve seen some people claiming it’s “just a graphics update” or “just a copy of the original,” and let me tell you — that’s a complete lie. It’s not just about visuals. The ship feels way more spacious, the environments are heavily reworked, and everything is much more interconnected with drastic changes in certain locations and missions. Just think about the morgue scene where you need to retrieve the Captain’s RIG — the whole section before you encounter that woman mutilating a corpse and then slitting her own throat — it’s completely redesigned. There are definitely things I prefer from the original, but I’m not so much of a nostalgic purist to deny that this remake has clearly surpassed it. If the goal was to expand the experience in a way that feels fresh and brutally immersive, this remake absolutely nails it as one of the best of this generation. I’m not even talking about what made the original unique — this is about how the remake managed to be even more punishing, more threatening, and way beyond what I expected as a fan. The difficulty is also cranked up quite a bit. The Leviathan in the original was hard until you figured out the trick — and sure, some parts of the original are still notoriously tough, like the asteroid section (every FPS fan struggles there). But the Leviathan in the remake is way more punishing. There’s a phase where it attacks while launching organic bombs, and then the entire area gets flooded with poison. It’s both challenging and frustrating. If they managed to tone down the asteroid part, they absolutely cranked up the Leviathan fight. Overall, this game is insane. Once I finish it, I’ll come back with a much deeper and more detailed analysis.NG+ Marker Fragment Despawning
PLEASE fix the bug in the Dead Space Remake where in New Game Plus the first marker fragment in the Maintenance Bay Office despawns, locking out the secret ending. Seems to disappear if not picked up during the initial encounter and if you come backtrack later it’s gone. (cm edit - updated title for visibility)
