What’s Adaptive AI in EA SPORTS College Football 26?
What is Adaptive AI? It’s how your coach thinks. In Dynasty Mode simulations, your playcalling adapts based on the AI profile you choose. You can select from nine options: Mad Scientist Matchup Oriented Reactive Schemer Balanced Pressure Situational Strategist Flexible Playcaller Ground Control System Coach Clock and Cushion A coach with a more conservative Adaptive AI profile like System Coach might stick to a single scheme, while an aggressive option like Reactive Schemer might adapt on the fly. Aggressive AIs Mad Scientist: High-risk, high-reward. Think wild blitzes and exotic coverages. Matchup Oriented: Quickly reacts to your opponent’s biggest threats as threats emerge. Reactive Schemer: Pressures the quarterback when repetitive pass plays are detected. Balanced AIs Balanced Pressure: Mixes it up. Blitzes, standard defense, some adaptation Situational Strategist: Reacts to specific situations, like 3rd down or redzone. Flexible Playcaller: Adapts to trends while forcing opponents to play left-handed. Conservative AIs Ground Control: Adapts to run plays, minimizes rushing yards, and controls tempo. System Coach: Sticks to the scheme. Minor tweaks, nothing flashy. Clock and Cushion: Uses zone coverage to limit big plays. Milks the clock. Whether you want a grinder or a gambler, Adaptive AI changes how your team plays, even when you’re not on the sticks.Team builder teams
There are two small tweaks I’d love to see let users select home state and town for their players in Teambuilder. using the helmet design from the home uniform to create an in game helmet for the team select screen. I know it’s such a minor thing, but you lose some a little of the feel the game is providing when the scheme changes so abruptly. i feel these are actually two small doable tweaks, at least the 2nd one, there may be some legal issues with the 1st one I’m not thinking ofDoes CFB 26 not have video reviews/challenges anymore?
I played my first Dynasty season and did not have a single computer opponent challenge or review any plays. One instance, clearing had their QB on the ground when a fumble occurred and no challenge/review and I got the ball. Another time my receiver was out of bounds for a TD, no review and I got the 6. CFB '25 I saw them all the time. Has anyone else noticed this?Physique Screen BLANK
For my teambuilder dynasty, I can no longer edit my players physiques. I was able to edit a large number of them but I believe once I edited one player’s number, a glitch was triggered. Now I can no longer edit anyone’s body types and such. The screen is just blank. Not sure if it has happened in regular dynasties or if recruits will experience the same bug once I bring them in. Hope this gets noticed and it is patched. Loving the game but I was enjoying changing their body types, even though I wish some of the weight limits were different and/or abilities to edit muscle mass.Dynasty transfers is broke
long post but lots of things to point out 1: starters have playing time deal breakers as an F 2: players will transfer out with a playing time deal breaker without any warning… I’ll go the entire season and not have any players show up a a transfer risk but the week that I advance to players leaving 5-10 players pop up that I mostly lose. 3: if I have a starter that’s a sophomore/ junior and is for sure going to the draft 95+ rating, ill still have the person 2nd/3rd in the depth chart transfer out due to playing time when it’s clear they’re gonna be the starter next year. -so I lost this years starter early to the draft and then I lost the 2nd/3rd string to transfer so I either have to start an underclassmen or hit the portal 4: 2nd/ 3rd string deal breakers change at players leaving even though I haven’t upgraded their overall… I manually upgrade players at the beginning of the season. I don’t upgrade the 2nd/3rd string players because I don’t want their deal breakers to change or get more strict so I’ll cruise along all year anticipating them to start next year because their deal breakers is let’s say conference prestige… then at players leaving they transfer due to playing time without being warned all year. 5: one year I lost 6 WRs…3 went to the draft (1 junior/2seniors) I then lost 1 junior and 2 sophomores (next years starters) all to the transfer portal. I had to hit the portal and ended up with trash and had to start a sophomore and true freshmen. 6: this happened to me with RBs too. I had 2 go to the draft (junior/senior) then lost 2 sophomores. I had to change a WR to RB just to fill the depth chart. 7: i had this happen for TEs. Had a few go to the draft. Then lost 3 to transfer portal without any warning. No notice during the entire year…I knew I had heavy depth at TE so I didn’t recruit. So I’m starting this year with 1 normal dev sophomore and I’ll have to change a WR to TE or hit the portal. 8: QBs: starter was a senior. I cut the junior to make way for the elite sophomore next year. Sophomore is 2nd string with 1 lower overall RS freshman & 1 true freshman behind them. I don’t recruit a QB that year. sophomore transfers out due to playing time even though their deal break all year was pro potential (A+). I now have a freshman(rs) as my starter and have to hit the portal to find someone that can fill the void. 9: incoming freshman have a letter grade that impacts upperclassmen playing time deal breaker. If you look at your school ratings under my school and go to playing time you will see the recruits you’re targeting with an associated letter grade. If they have an A or B and you sign them then your sophomores/juniors/ seniors deal breakers will change to an F. You’re literally punished for finding good recruits because your starters will want to transfer… I love the dynamic deal breakers and it’s a great change from CFB 25 but the insanity of not being able to plan for players leaving until you get to players leaving week is non-sense. It also makes it hard to recruit. You can under recruit to prevent playing time transfers and still get punished with them leaving and your starters graduating/ go to draft and then you’re left with nothing.CPU too good!!
For some odd reason the cpu seems too good. No matter who I play, their quarterback goes like 24/25 or 29/30 with no interceptions. I can definitely understand the fact that I play on heisman so it’s going to be tough, but there are 5’7 170 lbs slot receivers trucking and stiff arming my linebackers. They catch every pass, never miss throws, and make every tackle. My players don’t even react to the ball until after someone catches it. I can’t even do a conservative tackle without the cpu spinning out of it, and I can’t hit stick anyone because they bounce off of those 90% of the time. I played the same way on CFB 25 as far heisman skill difficulty and it was the same way without the broken hit sticks. That’s just insane. Coach suggestions call the same exact plays over and over, and you get no reward for calling the right plays because the cpu always has a counter or makes an amazing play whenever they need it. If you shade inside, you get beat with a slant or post. If you shade outside you get beat with a zig or simple out route. How does that make sense? I had a 98 and 96 speed CB being out ran by 88 and 92 speed receivers on Clemson. At some point someone from EA needs to stream live and do and. Q&A about the gameplay while they’re actually playing the game against the CPU. It’s just crazy how the game works sometimes and the football logic or lack there of college football players.
