EA Any Tier = SEC or OSU
Can someone at EA please explain to me why almost 4 months after release, select any tier in Road To CFP STILL ONLY GIVE YOU Alabama Georgia LSU Ohio State I cant do this anymore, I cant find a game on most other tiers and I cant compete, with my team(Oregon). STOP **bleep**ING FILTERING OUT TEAM!!!!Punting on 4th down
I haven’t been playing online for a little while but when I was, I noticed that almost everyone would go for it on 4th down. No matter what the situation was, even when backed up on their own side of the field. I have an idea. What if EA brought back “Fair play” settings like they had on the PS2 online h2h games. This would force players to punt when they were on their own side of the field on 4th down. However, I think it would be cool if each player could override that setting 2 times a game. So, you would save those for times when it really mattered or when it was 4th and short. Or another idea would be that you could go for it when it was 4th and 3 or less.A beginner's guide to Road to CFP
What's up newbies? I wanted to take a minute to give you some tips on the road to college football playoff mode in College Football 26 Many of you just got the game for Christmas and are finding it frustrating. Trust me when I say you are not alone. After playing both College Football 25 and 26 exclusively in this mode, I figured a couple of tips to help you get started to reach your goal, which is winning in national championship in this mode. 1.Road to CFP is hard. Sorry to disappoint you, but it's just a fact. Winning a Natty is much harder this year than it was last year. 2. Before you even get started playing this mode, practice. Practice with the team you want to use in a national championship game. Some guys like to use multiple teams throughout the season and then run to their favorite tier one team once they reach the playoffs. Others want to take one team and grind through an entire season. Either way, it's fine. Just make sure you practice with a team you want to win a natty with on heisman level. 3. When practicing, take some time to understand your team. your players, their strengths and their witnesses. This will save you much frustration as you grind through this mode. 4. Once you're confident, you're ready to play a few games. Just know this, the first four games in your season are a set up. Those four games matchmaking seems to give you someone that you should win against, even if you have a lower tier team play again say Alabama, Georgia or Ohio State. In my opinion, this is EA way of one, allowing guys to win the minimum number of games to either stay in that division or get promoted or 2 keep you at an even when lost record. Just know...the storm is coming. 5. Once you get past games 4, all hell breaks loose. This is when the toughest match making seems to kicks in and you'd up against more quality players. Games 4,5,6 and seven are hard. I would suggest once you're comfortable use any tier for games 1 through 4 and then for games 4,5,6,7, and 8, be more selective and pick your tiers sleection. Example select tier 2 3,4 or tier 5 when seaching for a opponent. It will take you some time to find games in those teirs, but be patient. You'll have much more fun this way versus banging your head against Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, Florida, or Indiana during these games. I've had season that a play Miami 4 times in the first 6 games. 6. Once you have grinded games 3 - 7 and you are in a comfortable position to make the CFP continue to be very selective on the teams you play. The reason I say this is because if you are lucky enough to make the CFP don't expect to see any mid to lower rank teams. In the three games of the playoffs you will probably only play against Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama , Texas , and you will probably have to beat any of those teams multiple times. I have literally had playoffs in which I had to play ohio state three games in a row. Last year, we saw so many different teams in the playoffs, now we only see maybe 4-6 different teams. 7. Once you make it to the CFP , just know the games in the college football playoffs are slower, meaning that your players actually run slower than they normally would doing the regular season. Certain routes, you may have to wait a tick longer for them to develop. This is why practice is important. 8. If at any time, you find yourself down ten or fourteen points in the game, be patient, don't back out and quit the game. EA thinks they are slick but if someone jumps mo out to a quick lead the logic shifts and the losing team becomes almost unstoppable. You can ask around but unless a miracle happens if someone is up 10-0 or 14-0, I'd bet my lifesaving that within 5 plays the losing team will score. 9. The 4th quarter is pure madness. Again EA thinks they are smart, but in the fourth quarter all kinds of craziness will happen(especially in a tight game). I've seen 28-35 points scored in the 4th quarter alone in the CFP. EA is creating manufactured drama to try to make the game feel more exciting but we all see it and know its trash. If WE were creating the excitement vs the logic of the game dictating it, this would be different. 10. Lastly, when you need to, just put the controller down walk away. Like I said, winning a Natty is crazy hard now. Even the top player have said so. This game/mode is rage inducing and well...sucks compared to what we had in 25. Sorry but just being honest. Try to have fun if you decide to play. I hope the above helps someone. Oh and cover 4 shaded down helps against crossing routes ✌️Onside Kicks
Let's discuss Onside Kicks... I had someone call an unexpected onside kick on me last night. No big deal, but I tried to call a timeout and nothing happened. I tried to call an audible, nothing. Then he kicked it to the far sideline and my player ran ahead and tried to block the defender instead of going for the ball. The kicking team recovered it. 😡 In the future, I hope EA will add audibles or timeouts so we can adjust if we make the mistake of picking our kick return too quickly.Play Now H2H
Why isn’t there an option to play a match against someone random and not be playing someone from the same division and not be part of a 12 game season? I think we ought to be able to play a head to head game using the default rosters and not have the game be part of a division or season.Stopping the clock on Defense
In an online game, near the end, I had the ball on my opponent's 5-yard line, and he had no more timeouts. After I picked my play, he went offsides. I noticed the clock stopped and didn't start until the next play. I don't think that's right. I think if the defense goes offsides like that, the clock should start again. I figured out what he was doing. He was trying to get the ball back with enough time to score and win the game. I had to run all the time out in the play call screen. In my unofficial search online, it said that in college football, if the defense goes offsides like that, the clock will start again on the referee's signal.Fumbles and challenges
In online games, when a player fumbles, often, he immediately challenges and gets the ball back. This happens too often. If someone fumbles and doesn't challenge, the booth should review it and give them the ball back. They shouldn't have to challenge it. I appreciate that you have taken the time to put this in, it's nice to see fumbles and then have them reversed, just like real life, but in real life I don't see coaches having to challenge fumbles very often, if ever. The booth always reviews them/reverses them.Do these people even watch football?!
Cincinnati is listed as 81 OVR 87 OFF 80 DEF when they gave up 25+ points in as many games as they scored 25+ (6-6) and have a 7-5 record heading into their Liberty bowl game. Tulane is 81 OVR 83 OFF 76 DEF despite having made it to the CFP with an 11-2 record, a conference championship and having scored 25+ in 4 more games than they gave up 25+ (9-5) Worth mentioning North Texas being 81 OVR 87 OFF 80 DEF despite losing by 13 to Tulane 💀 imagine the loser if the championship game being higher rated. Meat riders 🤡Sudden convenient lag out when vigorously beating my opponent..
To put it lightly, I was beating this guy pretty bad in Road to CFP and as I’m about to score yet another TD to end the half, I get a bad lag spike and am booted from the game do to an “EA server disconnect”. I get back to the Home Screen and look at the results just to find that I received a LOSS! My internet did not spike and it is/was working just fine. (I checked immediately after the game was over). I don’t understand how this scumbag gets a win since he’s the one who had to have lagged out. If it was an EA server issue why not give the win to whoever deserves it? I can’t make any sense of this at all. I try to get better at this game and grind it out but when a win gets stripped away from me due to an unfair disconnect that had nothing to do with my internet, it’s hard to play this game at all.
