Idea to Improve Road to the College Football Playoff

I have an idea that I think would improve the Road to the College Football Playoff. 

Right now, very few people play using the lower Overall rated teams. 

I think it would be great if you can play games and base the W/L on winning or losing by a spread. So, if you are a lower rated Overall team, and you lose by 7 points, but the spread was 7.5, then you get a Win.

There would be two schedules, one would report the Wins and Losses the way it does now, and the second one would be vs. the spread. A team might be 12-0, but vs. the spread they might be 7-5 or something like that because they barely won some of the games. Conversely, a team might be 0-12 but vs. the spread they might be 8-4 or something like that. 

The idea is to give people who want to play with teams with lower Overall ratings a reason to still play against the top-rated teams.
