Squad battles difficulty
I'm not sure about how everyone feels about this but the difficulty is crazy the more "realistic" experience getting absolutely brutal slide tackled in your own half cause you won possession god help you if your through on goal get that dirty slide tackle from behind which would be a clear red but nope free kick so your missing out on the very very few chances you get the back tracking by ai is crazy you lose the ball thats it all midfielders including wingers are straight back now you have 8 plus Maldinis in defence before you've figured out next who your playing the ball to in your own half and omg if you get the chance for that sweet through ball or that clear run down the wing dont worry your vinny or mbappe is no chance in pace for that 40 pace bronze player team press is useless its game over before anyone presses you just sit and watch and you know your conceding a goal 30 passes before it happens always perfectly spead so players are no where near you even being able to make a tackle atleast make it so you get max points from goals now 4 instead of 5. less corners . Less possession requirements less penalised for not having a clean sheet cause you know thats almost impossible now at worldclass and legendary you know it before it happens it dosnt feel like you get penalised for your mistakes anymore it feels like the game says no cant go 3 or 4 nil up cause game is like we will score a goal and thats it there's nothing you can do about cause im ai and im not having it regardless of how well your playingPlayers & Teams feedback Megathread

I’m creating this thread as I do not see a future where this game mode is fixed (Player career mode) not manager career mode. I’m fairly sure this mode is hardly tested or at all before release each year. The problems remain the same and this year seem to have gotten worse. To those making creative decisions these are my suggestions, should you ever be inclined to actually make changes. Most importantly, stop forcing us players into not being able to be creative with our play-styles. The whole personality system is absolute garbage, why do I need to be a heartbeat as an attacker to have technical dribbler? Why do I then need to be a virtuoso to have quick first step? Why stop us from having both, why can I not create the character I want to play as? You know, the point of the **bleep** mode. Get rid of the personality system as a whole just have us unlock new play-styles based on level the same way it is in clubs it’s not more immersive it’s just handcuffing us from being the type of player we want to be. This isn’t even touching how this year you’ve removed play style points from training, making attaining 65% in a play style type next to impossible (It is impossible if you play long games like I do). This system has to be removed in FC 27 it’s infuriating. On the point of play-styles stop blocking certain playstyles based on positions, I should be able to have finesse shot as a midfielder or anything for that matter it’s a fantasy player. Archetypes are fine, think they shouldn’t be positions based again as a CAM or LM should be able to have a Ronaldinho archetype after all he played those positions but whatever I’m more concerned with play styles but if you wanna be perfect, then don’t handcuff those to positions either. This year you removed xp from training, no idea why. It’s now far too slow to level up. After playing my first season (No sim) I’m a level 82, but broke multiple records won ballon do’r the following December yet I’m an 82. This looks dumb and ruins immersion, last year was a perfect xp system I don’t know why it was changed. Finally, stop all the major transfers. It’s ridiculous. After one transfer window there’s 4 of the top 30 players in the world going to bizarre clubs (Foden to Newcastle, Raphinha to City) and these both happened before my first season even started. This breaks all immersion as it’s way too many transfers of top players way too often. As someone who loves using the YA on Career Mode, it's a shame to see it so broken out the moment, the way Overall correlates with Potential and Playstyles, simply doesn't make sense, and it renders the YA useless, before I start please fix the Left foot bug, 90% of the players I scout are left footed. The topic of this post is that higher rated YA players (60+) tend to have lower potential and next to no playstyles, meanwhile lower rated YA players (50-55) tend to have high potential and multiple playstyles, it shouldn't be like this and it makes no sense, higher rated YA players should have more potential and playstyles. A common theme in the YA is the 65 rated 17 year old with 66-73 potential and 0-2 playstyles, meanwhile the 52 rated 14 year old has 77-94 potential and 5-7 playstyles, please fix this, we can only play Career Mode for 15 seasons, even with the 'Fast' development setting on, it would take me at least 6-7 seasons to get a 52 rated player to 80 Overall, and by then I'm already halfway through the save. Even if the 65 rated player has high potential, he usually has no playstyles or just one playstyle, for some reason the devs have attributed high Overall with low potential and minimal playstyles, whilst attributing low overall with high potential and multiple playstyles. It just doesn't make sense, higher rated youngsters from the YA SHOULD have high potential and multiple playstyles, meanwhile low rated players (< 60 overall) should have lower potential and less playstyles than they're already given, the current algorithm/system/pattern put in place renders Overall as useless, being a higher overall should come with it's perks. At the moment the current formula is: High Rating = Low Potential & Less Playstyles (0-2) Low Rating = High Potential & Multiple Playstyles (4-7) (3-6) (2-5) However the formula SHOULD be: High Rating = High Potential & Multiple Playstyles (4-7) (3-6) (2-5) We should be rewarded for scouting higher rated players, not punished. 1.1 This is how it should be, high rated, high potential and 4-7 Playstyles, unfortunately this is a rare occurrence. 1.2 This is how it shouldn't be low rated, too young to promote and yet he has high potential and 4-7 Playstyles, it shouldn't be like this, this is a common occurrence. 1.3 An example of a high rated player with bad potential and only one playstyle. 1.4 Another example of a high rated player with bad potential and one playstyle, this is a common theme for high rated YA players. 1.5 Another low rated player with high potential and multiple playstyles. 1.6 This another example of how it SHOULD be, high potential, high overall and multiple playstyles. Jordan recently achieved a historic milestone by reaching the Final of the AFC Asian Cup 2023. It feels unrealistic for a football simulation game that prides itself on "unrivaled authenticity" to exclude one of the top-performing teams in Asia. While we appreciate the inclusion of stars like Musa Al-Tamari (Montpellier) and Yazan Al-Arab (Seoul), the current squad possesses incredible talents like Yazan Al-Naimat and Ali Olwan who deserve to be recognized and playable. Is anyone else experiencing this frustrating problem in EA FC 26? When I try to pass to a nearby player, if that player isn't the furthest option, the game completely bypasses them and sends the ball to the next player in line instead. Is this happening to anyone else? Am I the only one dealing with this? Is there a sensitivity setting? Can we adjust the pass button sensitivity or calibrate how the game selects pass targets? Any workarounds? Have you found any controller settings or gameplay techniques that help with more precise passing? Would really appreciate any help or insights from the community. This is what I've noted so far whilst playing Player career mode for a week. Maybe someone else also have feedback on my points or other issues/functions? Not possible to save your toon (looks/settings) as far as I've seen to be able to pick it up when creating a new career. Also unclear guidance when starting your career risking a bad start forcing you to create a completely new one, sitting again trying to perfect the looks of your pro for several hours.. Hard to inspect other teams and players (like in Fifa 23 legacy for example). While it is possible to enter different teams to see their players, it's not possible to check the players themselves. No stats, info and so on. Hard to follow your national teams competitions and too few national updates. As I see it, as a player, your goal is a good club AND your national team. More focus should be on you being able to follow the different national teams, competitions, squads/selections and such. Perhaps even possibility to watch the games and/or highlights. It's also hard to keep track on players coming and leaving your club. In squad hub, you can see teammates stats and such, but not their contract length? Would be nice to be able to plan your own future in the club better. Difficult to get a good overview of different news. News are just flashing past disappearing among the rest. Transfer romours and news should be separate from the rest. Contracts is boring. The meaningless path objectives to get a contract? Requirements for goals outside of area and such? Pointless. And what's even the point with pre match training? No good explanation what it's good for and how to optimize it. Does it even help your pro other than taking a spot in the first team way too easily? Two trainings then you're a regular starter in the national team regardless of your match performance as an example? Troublesome to track your position changes during match (controlling only my player). No fast way to see the current lineup/positions to check what position, position on the field and role you're currenly assigned to. It is present when pausing and entering performance but that shouldn't be necessary. Why not highlight your assigned position on the radar or something? Replay is bugged and get stuck on centerfield now and then. No replays if subs are made directly after goal. Too few replays during game and replays should also highlight the setup play leading to the chance/goal. Also no replays automatically in half time or after the game. Too few camera options in instant replay mode. Why not first person? Much too hard on standard settings in world class compared to the much too easy professional when controlling your pro only. Changing sliders will make it possible to play even on legendary when controlling your pro. Much much harder on all difficulties (using realistic sliders) when controlling whole team instead of only my pro. It's almost impossible to gain possession of the ball on harder difficulties. It feels almost necessary to have legacy defending when controlling your pro only in order to tell your teammates to push at the right time to avoid being forced to run all over the pitch yourselft to clean up the opposition attacks. What's even up with the investments? Utterly useless timewaster.. I think that the archetypes/personality restricts your freedom to be the player you want. Not possible to change when created if I want to evolve into another player type/style. And why do I need to be an egotistical **bleep** to get Maverick points? It feels really weird to be that person and still be generally liked by your teammates and manager.. Also not possible to select or learn multiple positions (eg AM/FW, RWB/RAM) and such. Not possible to request new position to manager either. No possibility to recommend signings to the club/manager to be able to try signing players you'd like to play with. Difficult to find different options in the menus. Feels like many options are "hidden" or different depending on where you view them. No power bar above player when controlling my pro making it really hard to quickly see the shot/pass power without having to look down to the right (especially on big screens). No achievements? Career/season/club? Do you even have any season goals/objectives as a player? Never found them. What's with the unrealistic match objectives? Score 2 goals outside of penalty area and so on? Missing match objectives is really bad for you even if you get a rating of 10? AI is really stupid at times. Especially the centerbacks who push in exactly the most inappropriate situations leaving the centre wide open. Weird function on legacy defending when pressing B. Not much assistance at all making you miss a lot of interceptions/tackles. When pressing A to make other player push with legacy defending they often run to the wrong side of the player leaving the way forward open. Way too many handballs. The radar fades out at times and can be covered by banners or other boxes/texts making it really hard to take a good position when you are out of screen with your pro. Radar should also have different sizes and opacity options. No good lineup overview of opponent team directly before match start. Would be nice to see the players and subs you're going to play against before starting the match. The target lines from practice mode (the ones showing expected target zone for passes) should be available during player career in trainer menu. Player name AND number should be an option above the players. Players with the same nationality should be seen talking to eachother after games when they have met eachother in a fixture for more realism and familiarity between nationals. A lot of missing tutorials and control options (or maybe only hard to locate?). Ie when pressing - on the control and the game starts following the player instead of the ball when controlling your pro. There's no easy way to find that out on your own. Hello EA Sports FC Team, I would like to give feedback regarding the Create a Player feature (In the settings menu), which feels extremely limited and outdated compared to the current state of the game. At the moment, several important attributes and systems cannot be customized, such as: Skill Moves stars Composure PlayStyles / PlayStyles+ Work Rates (attacking and defensive dedication) Secondary / multiple positions This becomes even more frustrating because Create a Player is not tied to any specific game mode by default. Since it is a standalone creation tool, there should be full freedom and no artificial limitations. Why this matters EA Sports FC has evolved significantly with: PlayStyles and PlayStyles+ More detailed player behaviors Tactical depth and positioning However, the Create a Player system does not reflect this evolution at all. It feels stuck several generations behind. What I would like to see Full customization of Skill Moves and Weak Foot Ability to assign PlayStyles / PlayStyles+ Editable work rates (Attack / Defense) Freedom to select multiple positions Control over attributes like composure and mentality Overall, a creation system that matches the depth of modern FC gameplay Final thoughts If a player is creating a custom athlete outside of Career Mode, Clubs, or Ultimate Team, the system should allow total creative freedom. Players who want realism can self-limit, but the option should exist. This would greatly improve immersion, creativity, and replay value. Thank you for your time.
