The speed of the game exceeds human capability it feels faster than what the human brain can process, and even quicker than controller input can realistically respond to. My observations: The AI makes extremely sharp, unnatural passes under pressure. When an AI player is surrounded, it can still execute precise, unrealistic angles that don’t reflect real gameplay behavior. The AI seems to anticipate my actions before I even complete them. The moment I press a button before my player executes the command the AI has already reacted and countered it. The AI effectively performs multiple actions simultaneously, as if it has access to all controls at once. While a human player must input commands sequentially, often sacrificing one action for another, the AI executes everything instantly without limitation. The precision of the AI is unreal. It moves toward the ball flawlessly, making no mistakes, and uses its speed to win possession in nearly every situation. Even when the ball is loose, the AI consistently reaches it first not due to player delay, but because it appears to take the most optimal path instantly, something not realistically achievable for human players. I can provide countless more examples of behaviors that feel unrealistic and give the AI an unfair advantage. It almost feels as though the purpose is to demonstrate superiority—to send the message: “I can beat you.” If that’s the case, then the underlying technology should evolve accordingly. The capabilities of controllers, GPUs, and CPUs need to match the demands of this level of gameplay. This raises a fundamental question: are these difficulty levels designed for human players—or for machine-level intelligence?15Views0likes0CommentsFC 26/27 Career Mode Needs Major Realism & Customisation Improvements
I think Career Mode in EA Sports FC 26 has so much potential, but there are a few key areas where it really needs improvement to feel more realistic and immersive. Player creation feels very limited right now. There aren’t enough modern hairstyles in the game, which makes it difficult to recreate real-life players, especially younger players coming through academies who are not yet included. In modern football, a lot of players have styles like skin fades with fringes, textured crops, or cornrows and braids, but these are either missing or very limited in the game. This makes it almost impossible to create accurate lookalikes of upcoming players. Another major missing feature is tattoos. Tattoos are a big part of football culture now, and without them created players do not look realistic. Even a simple tattoo system with options for arms and legs would make a big difference and improve immersion in Career Mode. The media system in Manager Career also needs improvement. It currently feels repetitive and unrealistic, with most questions being overly positive. In real football, the media can be very critical, especially after poor performances or bad results. The game should include more direct and challenging questions that put pressure on the manager and make the experience feel more authentic. AI transfers are another issue. Clubs often make unrealistic signings that do not fit their squad or style, and teams can become very unbalanced. This breaks immersion and makes Career Mode feel less believable. Transfers should be more intelligent so clubs build squads in a way that reflects real life. Player performance across leagues is also unrealistic. When checking other leagues, top players often underperform heavily. For example, you might see players like Lamine Yamal with very low goal and assist numbers compared to real life. At the same time, random players from smaller or newly promoted teams can end up as top scorers, while world class players do not perform as expected. Players like Haaland should consistently be among the top scorers, but this does not always happen in Career Mode, which breaks realism. Another missing element is player personality. Players feel too generic and there is no sense of individuality. Adding personality traits such as having a big ego, reacting badly to being benched, or showing ambition would make squad management more interesting and realistic. Celebrations also need updating. Many of the current celebrations feel outdated or unrealistic. Adding more modern and commonly used celebrations, especially for created players, would improve the overall experience. Overall, Career Mode has a strong foundation, but improving realism, customisation, and immersion in these areas would make a huge difference. Would be great to hear what others think and what they would like to see improved.22Views0likes0CommentsNot getting wins when the opponent quits
Please can something be done about players quitting the game when they're losing and the opponent does not get the win. I play online Seasons and almost every game the opponent quits when I am in a winning position. They either wait till 80+ minutes to quit or if they're losing by a big scoreline, they will quit the game immediately and I will not get the win nor will there be a record to show I played that opponent. Sometimes they will cheat by pausing the game, do something to quit and a message will show "you have lost connection to your opponent..." Sometimes the disconnection will be immediately after you score (almost instantly) and you will not get the win and there will be no record of that game. And finally, they also cheat by stop playing after you score. The game will restart from the centre circle and the opponent will not move at all, then after approximately a minute you will lose connection to your opponent and not get the win etc. The level of frustration this causes when people are doing it almost every game is immense and I will not play online Seasons anymore until this issue is fixed. I hope EA will do something about it.5KViews29likes40CommentsAllow Custom Transfers for Classic Teams in Online Friendlies
Hey everyone, I’ve been playing EA Sports FC for over 20 years, and to this day the main mode I play is Online Friendlies with a friend on Xbox. It’s honestly the only mode we use, and we’ve been doing this for years. First off, huge appreciation for adding the Classic XI / legendary teams offline. That was an awesome addition and brings a lot of nostalgia into the game. You crushed it with that. That said, I think there’s a big opportunity to make this even better. It would be amazing if we could edit or transfer players within these classic teams, just like we can with regular clubs. Imagine being able to: Build your own “ultimate” XI from the legends available Customize teams for friendlies Create themed squads (prime Barca, Galácticos, etc.) Right now, we’re limited to the preset squads, which are great, but having the freedom to mix and match players would take Online Friendlies to another level. Not sure if this is something already being considered, but I’d love to see it implemented. Curious if others here would use this too.12Views0likes0CommentsNew Way to Support
Seriously, Ea, shouldn't you spend some of your hard-earned money on purchasing a translator that translates all languages into English so that we users don't have to use only certain languages? It sends a very bad signal to the world that a company like yours cannot translate all the world's languages. It would be much easier if each user could use their own language and you had an automatic translator that could make it easy for you and then it would make the whole process of getting help faster and simpler.13Views0likes0CommentsMy teammates are running into me!
Not once in a while on a regular basis. I don't want to play cookie cutter meta ball where i run the same lines every other clown does. I want my teammates to pay attention and at least not run into me. When I am the striker running on goal and a winger or wide midfielder cuts inside directly in the path I am running that is beyond the pale. No one not in a toddlers league would do that. Beyond ridiculous the basic fundamentals are lost in this game for tricks and gimmicks.6Views0likes0CommentsThe main issue in game right now Interceptions, Player Congestion, 4-4-1-1 Meta
Gameplay currently feels overly congested and restrictive, which is making matches repetitive and less tactical. Passing is heavily limited due to very aggressive interceptions. Not only defenders, but even AI attackers intercept passes unrealistically often, which removes viable build-up options and makes simple play difficult. Player spacing is another major issue. The pitch constantly feels compressed, similar to permanent high depth, with both teams’ players crowding the same areas. This leaves very little room to progress through midfield or create attacking patterns. Through balls are also extremely difficult to defend. When opponents trigger runs and play through passes, defenders often fail to track properly and their recovery speed feels too slow. Even with decent positioning, it frequently results in uncontested chances, which is now being widely abused. Another noticeable pattern is that 4-4-1-1 has become the dominant formation. Most opponents are using it, likely because it benefits from the current gameplay issues such as compact midfield, easy wide runs, and effective through balls. This raises concerns about overall balance, as one setup appears significantly more effective than others. Gameplay also feels slower and less responsive during Champs and certain events, which further reduces fluidity and control. Overall, matches tend to follow the same pattern with very limited attacking variety. It no longer feels like a strategic football experience, but instead a compressed and repetitive system. Key areas that need attention: Interception tuning Player spacing and midfield congestion Defensive tracking and recovery speed Balance across formations (especially 4-4-1-1) Overall gameplay responsiveness Even previous metas offered more variety, whereas the current system feels restrictive and draining to play. Saw this in EA discord Original post link: https://discord.com/channels/1164979454557290546/1480926851202551828 Hello everyone, I want to hear your opinions about the defensive AI in the game. As an Elite division player, I can honestly say that the current defensive AI makes the game much less enjoyable for me and many others. When opponents rely heavily on AI defending, it removes a lot of the skill and individuality from the gameplay, and it forces everyone into playing the same style. When the first version of the FC game was released, the gameplay felt much more enjoyable and balanced. However, with each update it feels like the defensive AI becomes stronger and stronger. Because of that, matches start to feel repetitive, with very limited ways to attack or play creatively. In real football there are many different styles of play, but currently the game often feels restricted to only one effective style. In my opinion, there should be an update that either reduces the effectiveness of defensive AI, or at least brings the gameplay closer to how it felt when the game first launched. Relying heavily on AI defending should not replace player skill. To improve the balance of the game, I think there are two possible solutions: 1. Reduce the strength of the defensive AI. or 2. Improve attacking AI to create better balance in matches. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? And someone's comment: Guys, if you want to play right now, the current meta forces you to keep the ball as long as possible. The reality is that there is almost no chance to score by passing or shooting inside the box. Why is this happening? That’s a good question. Imagine this with me: If your opponent is playing something like a 4-1-1, you can easily find 6 players inside the box. Add the wingers dropping back, and suddenly you are facing 8 players defending inside the box. Now ask yourself: How are you supposed to pass or shoot in that situation? The answer: There is almost no chance. Let me explain what I keep seeing: You have 8 defenders inside the box, supported by AI movement and AI defending. Your team tries to find spaces to pass, but the moment you attempt a pass, what happens? The ball gets intercepted instantly. And the strange part? The interception often comes from a player the opponent is not even controlling. This is why casual players and pro players alike are frustrated with AI defending. I reviewed and analyzed my own gameplay recordings after reaching Elite Division, and these are the patterns I noticed: 1. AI defenders intercept passes without the player switching to them. 2. AI defenders track runs perfectly almost every single time. 3. The AI seems to read your inputs (X passes or Square crosses/shots). 4. When you try to pass to your striker, the AI automatically positions a defender behind him to intercept. 5. But if you try to defend manually, your opponent often finds space and scores. So let me ask you: Is this really competitive gameplay? Because right now, it feels like the AI decides who wins the match more than the players do.28Views1like2Comments
