Please, please fix the townie outfits. I can't take it anymore.
We REALLY need these random townie outfits to be fixed, ASAP. And it seems the more packs you have, the more outrageous the randomly generated outfits become. I think having or being able to save premade outfits are a great idea, that would make townie makeovers so much easier. Or at the very least, there should be a specific selection of outfits that have been put together by an actual person (Devs or otherwise) for the algorithm to choose from. The randomly generated Sims and their outfits are just a bit too, well, random. It is way too time consuming to fix every weird looking townie and their outfits. But I feel like I don't really have a choice because playing with them looking like that really bothers me lol. I also don't appreciate when I spend 3 hours in CAS meticulously planning 5 perfect outfits for every category....And then I see that sim out and about still in the most absurd get up ever. This not only happens to NPCs, but also my active or played households as well. Like why is my recently revamped Mortimer in a purple sequence vest, hiking boots, super short gyms shorts, with his eyebrow pierced and wearing a top hat...... Maybe its just because I have more packs now but I don't remember it ever being this bad before. This problem has become very pronounced. Also, even more than just the clothes, random generated townies even just look weird physically. The characteristics they end up with just don't fit together. Surely there has got to be a better algorithm to make normal looking townies (And by normal I just mean not a bizarre mish-mash of features. And not being dressed like an alien who saw a clown once and thinks this is how all humans dress) Like33Views3likes5CommentsWhy is this how the saves and misc stuff routed...
I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I feel its important to know why the directory for mods, saves and all that other stuff has to go to documents in the main drive of any computer. I like to have extra content on my games to help create really good and immersive characters for when I play. But eventually my drive runs out of space and I am forced to delete mods..... Now yes there apparently a way around this by tricking your game into thinking its going into the main drive by some sort of linking using the command prompt for windows but that's such a complicated method and is unfair to those who can't do something like that or are not as tech savvy. And Sims is not the only game like this. I just can't come up with other examples since they're not games I have (I think...). Anyway, I just find its really stupid honestly. It should be a choice. When I installed the game and was gven the choice of where the folder would end up, I was under the impression that it would include the previously mentioned folder. I have things I do, I am a photographer, especially with games. And those pictures pile up ya know? And I have games I want to run the fastest and put them on my main drive. I don't want to have to upgrade my main drive or buy a new SSD just so I can have the speed for a few games when speed isn't what I worry about with The Sims....15Views0likes1CommentMusic you might want to see in the game.
I was just listening to Outrun Myself by Jack Kays and thought it would be a song I would like to hear in the game, if it was at all possible also feel free to add any songs you like to the list, comment below and who knows maybe the developers will read this and have a look.5Views0likes0CommentsPre-Made Outfits in CAS
I'm sure some of you are like me and remake your NPCs as some of their outfits that get randomly assigned as well... interesting. I use a lot of the pre-made outfits for them, and I think it would be amazing if within CAS we could save our favorite outfits or have the ability to add outfits to the pre-made ones so we have a larger catalog to choose from.24Views4likes2CommentsRequest for Name Order Customization in The Sims 4
When playing The Sims 4 in certain Asian languages, such as Korean, the name order of Sims is displayed as [Last Name] [First Name], which differs from the English version where it's [First Name] [Last Name]. As a Korean player, I understand why this change was made—since in our culture, the family name comes first, followed by the given name. However, the majority of playable characters, including pre-made neighbors, are Western. Most of the neighborhoods are based on Western society, so using the [First Name] [Last Name] order feels more natural in this context. It’s a bit jarring to see Western names displayed in reverse, especially since in Korea, we usually maintain the original name order for foreign names. In fact, when we introduce ourselves to English speakers, we even reverse our own name order to match the global standard of [First Name] [Last Name]. There are mods available that modify the game’s string tables to change the name order, but they come with issues. For example, with NPCs like the Grim Reaper (who doesn't have a name actually), the mod changes the placeholder [0.simname] to [0.simfirstname] [0.simlastname], resulting in names like "Grim Reaper Grim Reaper," which is obviously awkward. I’ve tried finding the solution to change some scripts to adjust the name order for the Korean language, but I haven’t been successful. Could you please consider adding a separate option in the game’s settings that allows players to choose their preferred name order? This would improve the experience for those of us who play in languages with different name conventions but still prefer the [First Name] [Last Name] order for Western characters.30Views3likes0CommentsSomething we absolutely need in the Sims4 !!!
its a reupload, i post it in a wrong category before...😅 If you see this post EA please read it all❕💚 Who never be frusted or deceive, when you saw a beautiful place for your house or others, and you can't change it an another type of place❓ example; Windenburg(3), SanMyshuno(1), Copperdale(2), Strangerville(1), ect I know, its complicate remove the restriction of special place without causing some issues or bugs cause of them differents properly stories and events, also know and agree with the fact, the stories wont be erase of the game .So i propose this, who will make all happy for sure;adding an option in the game settings. Like the option for neighborhood stories. In that way, player have the choiceif they want enable or not, the restrictive place and there's special stories. Enable: like now, so with stories on and type of place who can't be change. Disable: the stories are paused or removed, the type of special places can be change (example for residential), example:when disable, the scripts of the special place be the same of the normal place and when enable there turn again like we actually know them. Like the post if you support it please 🙂32Views0likes0CommentsSims 4 Gallery Improvements
So I've amassed over 1,000 hours on the Sims 4 and there's a few things I'd like to bring up a few things I don't see a lot of people talking about - but feel like they should. I love building in the Sims 4, unfortunately I don't have the same relationship with the gallery and I've come up with a list of features or changes that in my opinion would make it a lot better. Hashtags - personally I like the hashtag system and love the recent change to be able to filter by them. Unfortunately I don't like that I have to think about adding them to the description of everything I upload to the gallery. Hashtags should be their own field in order to leave room for the description. Updating Gallery Items - Unfortunately, there's no easy way to update your existing gallery uploads without removing them and re-uploading them with your desired changes. I personally would love the option to overwrite existing items without needing to re-write its name and description. Instead, the "View Venue Type" button should be replaced with "View Lot on Gallery" if its already been published. If the lot is placed down and the lot type isn't changed, the "Share Lot to Gallery" button should be replaced with an "Update Gallery Item" that automatically submits changes to the existing uploaded version without having to re-upload it entirely. Published Items - Once you have uploaded an item to the gallery, there's no way to easily edit or change the description or title without having to re-upload it. This shouldn't require you to place down the lot, as long as you're the author - you should be able to edit these any time you want without needing to go into build mode. Just these these 3 changes would drastically improve the gallery.9Views0likes0CommentsExpanding The Sims with Cars!
Hey fellow Simmers! I’ve been thinking about how adding drivable cars could elevate The Sims experience and create new opportunities for gameplay and storytelling. By partnering with a company like Rockstar Games, known for their advanced driving mechanics, The Sims could introduce realistic, drivable cars that expand gameplay and attract a wider audience. Time Management and Driving Skill: Imagine a new “Driving Mode” where time pauses when you take your Sims for a drive. This would let players freely explore neighborhoods, interact with other Sims on the road, and discover hidden spots—without disrupting time-sensitive activities like work and skill-building. For practical commutes, like going to work or visiting another lot, players could still choose a fast-travel option to keep schedules intact. In addition, introducing a “Driving Skill” would allow Sims to become more adept behind the wheel over time. As they level up, they could unlock new interactions like parallel parking, street racing, or even defensive driving classes! New Lots and Expanded Teen Activities: Adding drivable cars can open up new lot types and gameplay options, providing players with a broader range of activities. For example, teens could visit a DMV lot to earn their driver’s license, completing a series of challenges to pass the test. Once licensed, teens can have new social opportunities, such as taking their friends to Drive-Through Movie Lots or visiting Gas Stations to fuel up and grab snacks. There could also be Car Wash Lots where Sims can either go to clean their cars or take on part-time jobs to earn some extra Simoleons. These lots could become central hubs for social interaction and skill-building, bringing a new layer of realism and immersion to the game. Expanding Car-Related Careers: We could also introduce new car-related careers! With the “Live Work” system, players could guide Sims through professions like Mechanic or Car Salesperson, where they perform real-time tasks such as repairing vehicles or interacting with customers based on their needs and budgets. Car Salespersons could develop their sales pitch based on knowledge from the new Driving Skill, which would influence the outcome of each sale! Integrating with Get Famous and Discover University: Imagine if Sims could gain fame and recognition through car-related careers! Mechanics who master their craft or become well-known for tuning luxury cars could earn fame points, especially if celebrities bring their cars in for customization. Similarly, Car Salespersons could become famous for closing high-profile deals or selling to celebrity clients, turning them into car experts on TV or social media. This would seamlessly integrate with the Get Famous pack, giving players more ways to build their Sims’ fame and social status. This concept could also connect with Discover University. Imagine new car-related degrees, such as Automotive Engineering for Mechanics or Business Management for Car Salespersons! Sims with a Business Degree could negotiate higher prices or gain unique interactions that help them close sales more effectively. Graduating with a relevant degree would provide a head start in car-related careers, giving Sims an edge over others without a degree. This integration would add academic progression to career paths, making education a more strategic choice for players. Introducing the “Car Stuff Pack”: To add even more depth to the gameplay, I propose a “Car Stuff Pack” that could introduce new items and seasonal interactions related to car ownership. Here are some of the features that could be included: Seasonal Car Care: Sims could have unique interactions like cleaning snow off their cars during winter, wiping off pollen in the spring, or washing off dirt and grime after a heavy summer rain. Additional items could include snow brushes, de-icers, and hose kits, allowing Sims to perform seasonal maintenance and keep their vehicles in pristine condition. Car Waxing and Polishing Kits: These items would help Sims keep their cars shiny and new, adding a bonus to the Driving Skill or increasing the car’s value if a Sim is preparing it for sale. The process of waxing and polishing could become a social interaction, where Sims compare cars and talk about their maintenance routines. Seasonal Upgrades and Repairs: Imagine changing out tires for snow tires during winter or getting an oil change before a long road trip! New career paths could include seasonal repair services that give car mechanics additional responsibilities depending on the time of year. Garage Customization: Players could design and decorate garages with toolkits, seasonal storage units for car items, and even collectible car memorabilia. Sims could host garage parties where other car enthusiasts come together to share tips and tricks, show off upgrades, or trade car parts. Special Seasonal Car-Related Events: Imagine holding a car show in the summer where Sims can show off their collections, enter competitions, and even trade vehicles! Or, during winter, they could attend an ice-racing event or work together to push snowed-in cars out of the driveway. Car Wash Lots and Gas Stations: The pack could also include special lots for gas stations and car washes, where Sims can fuel up, get a quick clean, or work part-time jobs. Sims who own these lots could upgrade equipment, manage staff, and even introduce custom services. Revenue and Marketing Potential: From a business perspective, this feature could be introduced as an expansion pack or game add-on, boosting sales and generating new revenue streams. EA could also introduce microtransactions like custom car models, paint jobs, or car-related accessories to allow players to personalize their Sims’ cars even further. Additionally, branded partnerships with real-world car manufacturers could open up in-game advertising and co-branding opportunities, enhancing realism and providing additional marketing benefits. Final Thoughts: Overall, integrating drivable cars with new lots, a Driving Skill, car-related degrees and careers, seasonal car care interactions, and Get Famous fame-building opportunities would enrich gameplay, provide new storytelling experiences, and financially benefit the franchise. Imagine your Sim rising to fame as a top mechanic or luxury car dealer, or a teen Sim earning their license and becoming a top racer in college! Would this make The Sims experience more dynamic and engaging for you? Let’s discuss these ideas and explore the potential of bringing cars to life in The Sims!35Views1like2CommentsSomething that should have been added to turnons/turnoffs
WHY did we not get occult types on the list of turn ons/turn offs??? Why can't our sims have the choice? It would only make sense that some sims would want to be with another like them, or not be with an occult that scared them. Thoughts?46Views1like6Comments
