Can’t uninstall Battlefield 6 Single Player and HD Texture Pack on EA App
Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with the EA App when trying to uninstall Battlefield 6 Single Player and Battlefield 6 Single Player HD Textures. Here’s what happens: I open the game’s Manage Add-ons section. I deselect both Single Player (17 GB) and Single Player HD Textures (8 GB). Then I press Update Install, but nothing happens — the app doesn’t uninstall them, and no storage space is freed. I already tried restarting the app, repairing the game, and even rebooting my PC, but the issue remains. It just refuses to remove those two components. Can someone from EA please check this out? Or if anyone has found a fix, I’d really appreciate your help. Thanks.1.4KViews8likes12CommentsEA app entitlements are wildly inconsistent (sometimes missing dozens of games)
My EA app library frequently is missing entitlements. In Example 1 from March 13 (Example 1 link), you can see that EA app detected 1 installed game (I have 4 installed), and only detected 11 additional games in my library. In Example 2 (Example 2 link), also from March 13 (immediately after restarting EA app after Example 1), you can see that EA app detected 4 installed games, and an additional 93 games in my library (this is closer to accurate, but I need go back through my years' worth of entitlements to figure out which, if any, games are missing at this point; I know some like Anthem and Knockout City have been removed from everyone's libraries since those have been taken offline, and I am not disputing the absence of those few multiplayer-only titles, as lamentable as their absence might be; the issue is that I am having a large number of single-player games not show up in my library at times). In Example 3 from March 16 (Example 3 link), EA app detects 4 installed games, and an additional 81 games in my library (when EA app has entitlement issues, it is usually closer to showing 80-ish of my 100-ish games, as opposed to only showing a dozen or so titles). These are all games for which I have purchased licenses (i.e., this is not from an EA Play subscription, although I have had one in the past). When these games are missing, they aren't grayed-out in my library, they are completely absent from my EA app library. Pressing Ctrl+F5 does not fix it. In my experience, giving EA app several minutes does not result in the missing titles loading in, only restarting EA app (temporarily) fixes it. Restarting EA app once usually fixes it (until it occurs again in a subsequent login session); sometimes it requires one or two additional restarts before displaying accurately. EA app is the only client with which I experience this. I would not say I am encountering this 50% of the time, but it is a frequent occurrence. Is this entitlements inconsistency between EA's servers? I have a dynamically-assigned IP address. I am currently using my ISP's DNS service, but I have used Google and Cloudflare in the past, and it had no bearing on this issue. I am not experiencing any network disruption (Ethernet), and I am using a legitimate installation of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (with the latest Extended Security Updates installed), and I've encountered this issue well before Windows 10 was EOL. It has been happening randomly since the release of EA app. I have also had EA app (I would imagine server-side) clear out my wishlist. I do not have EA app set to open at startup (EA services do run though, e.g., EABackgroundService). Clearing EA app's cache does not prevent this issue. Running System File Checker does not fix this issue. I have already added antivirus and firewall exceptions for EA app [EADesktop.exe, EALauncher.exe, EALaunchHelper.exe, EABackgroundService.exe, EALocalHostSvc.exe, and EACefSubProcess.exe are the only EA app binaries I currently have exception rules for (no EA app binaries are blacklisted, but the aforementioned EXEs are the only ones for which I currently have whitelist rules), but I have previously created exceptions for all EXEs in %PROGRAMFILES%\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop, and it made no difference]. Turning off my antivirus suite altogether also does not alleviate this issue. All ports listed at https://web.archive.org/web/20140929090241/http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/ have been configured for port forwarding with my router, and my router has its latest firmware installed. Clean booting my PC does not prevent this issue. No VPN or proxy server is being used, nor is the computer configured for one. I am not accessing EA app from different locales (i.e., traveling). No DNS filtering tools are being used.83Views0likes3CommentsBF6 purchased from Steam is not showing up in the EA app
I bought Battlefield 6 from Steam months ago and I play it without any problems. The issue is that I can't see it in the EA app. I want to redeem some gift codes, but since it's not showing up, I can't. My account is correctly linked; I have other Steam titles that display without any problems, and this issue only happens with Battlefield. I've attached screenshots to see if an admin or user can help me with a solution. Thank you for your support. Rob.18Views0likes1CommentEA App suddenly stopped opening on Windows 11
Hi everyone, About two days ago, the EA App suddenly stopped opening on my computer without any apparent reason. Until then, I was able to play my games normally, but now, when I try to launch the app, nothing happens — no error message, and the interface doesn’t show up. What I’ve tried so far: Ending all EA-related processes in Task Manager and trying again Adding an exception in the antivirus and even disabling it Running as administrator Changing compatibility settings Running EA App Recovery and EA App Update Submitting a report using EA Error Reporter (I have the ticket ID) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App Rolling back the latest Windows updates Still, the issue remains. Interestingly, the EA App appears as a running process in Task Manager, but the interface never loads. Even when trying to launch a game directly from its shortcut, neither the game nor the EA App starts. Additional info: Windows 11, version 24H2, build 26.100.3624 I work in IT and have technical knowledge, I’ve tried many solutions before reaching out here. No system changes or suspicious installations occurred between the time it was working and when it stopped. I honestly don’t know what else to do. If anyone has faced this issue or knows of a fix, I’d really appreciate your help!3.4KViews23likes48CommentsPayment issue - unable to process payment

Hello! I have been using EA services for more than 10 years, since at least 2013. Most recently I wanted to buy Star Wars Jedi Survivor from their platform, since I already had Fallen Order in the EA app. I had my Visa debit card details saved, as I have previously used this card without any issues. Upon trying to pay, I was met with "We were unable to verify your credit or debit card" error. I tried to pay for the next 1-2 days, but no luck. Decided to reactivate my PayPal account, just to see if I can my a quick fix. I tried to pay on EA and the payment failed. Just to note that my Visa debit works everywhere, but my PayPal works nowhere. I Googled my issue and most advise to contact customer support, so I did that. I went on customer service on the 15th of March 2026 and one week later, they have refused to provide an adequate workaround for my case. My case number is 239969839. I will do my best to sum it up. In my first chat, the agent sorta understood my query, but the only thing he said was to try again and contact in the next 24 hours, in the meantime, he escalated the case. Before I close the chat, I asked the agent for a potential promo code and he said that if the issue persists, they will provide. I contacted in the next 24 hours, asking for an update. A different agent assisted me and he had no advise for me. He noted that I have pending payments though. I told him they are PayPal and showed him that PayPal failed to collect any money from my card. I don't know how well he understood my words. He noted case is escalated. I asked where I will receive notfication of an update and he said no where... I then asked for a time frame and he very reluctantly said 72 hours. Sure... I contacted EA CS in 72 hours and told the agent to check my case. He said he checked it and then asked questions that I have already answered. He noted the pending payments, I explained to him that they are failed and he requested an invoice... Needn't say more, I requested a new agent. The next agent didn't assist much. She looked throug my case, told me that only American Express is allowed in my region and closed the chat (I live in Eastern Europe). Next agent did their best to not do anything meaningful, only to waste my time. I started getting pretty frustated on the manner... Contacted again and the agent in handsight was helpful, but his advise was more to stal. His advise was that due to the currency switch that happened in the beginning of the year, cards in the whole country fail with payments. While this advised seemed plausable at first, after I contacted after 24 hours, the agent said that the currency switch does not affect my case. I continued chatting with no success. I requested complaint contact info and was declined by numerous agents. One agent acknowledged my complaint query, but said he noted it in their system. Based on how my case is going, he might have done absolutely nothing, just acknowledging for the sake of me stopping requesting it. This issue continued to persist and the sale is coming to an end soon and today, I wanted something concrete. I requested a promo code of 90% for the game, as it currently is with that discount. They said they can't generate it. I asked to transfer me to someone that can or provide complaint contact details. Both of my queries were declined/disregarded/ignored. EA's customer service did an atrocious job at assisting me... I am willing to buy a product on their platform, but instead of providing me with adequate solutions, they tell me "contact PayPal", "find a different method", which are not acceptable options. I have a widely used Visa debit. If they cannot verify it, it is on them. I was also looking at buying a gift card, but the cheapest available are 15 EUR and while I can buy one, I wish to just buy the game that I want. I would of been contept with 10 EUR, but there are no 10 EUR EA gift cards. Also, their customer service does not provide payment links, so they can't assist. I have tried the solutions that are in EA support's "payment issues" page(s), but no luck. Although I should be seeking compensation for wasting hours of my time, I do not want it, I only want to buy the game on their platfrom. If EA fails to acknowledge and assist my query, I won't ever buy a product on their platform ever again. I will be looking at paying more to buy a key from a key reseller or potentially through Steam. I do not wish to go this way, but if this request is ignored, again, I will have no other choice.10Views0likes0CommentsEA App Requests Admin Permissions Every Time I Launch The App
Like the title says, every time I launch the EA app, it requests admin controls to make changes to my computer. This is not okay. The background telemetry EA runs while the app is open and while my game is in session, overloads my computer system, driving up the heat and forcing an full system crash. This is not okay, and this should not be happening. I've run a clean game with no mods or cc, and it does the same thing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a clean version of the app three times now, still crashes. This is not okay. I'm running my game/the EA app on a Macbook pro. When I manually quit my game, and quit the EA app, it relaunches itself without my persmission until it finally times out and gets flagged for not responding. This is after I've manually force quit the app. This is not okay.27Views0likes0CommentsEA app freezes and auto closes
Hey Guys, I am having an issue with my EA App I am not able to use it, hence my games are unplayable, or I cannot open it without this freaking app, which doesn't open. I have tried multiple avenues such as mcconfig, repair app, cache clear, run as administrator and app recovery, nothing works. Once in a blue moon, it launches and lets me play games, but the next day same issue. The app is in desktop, for the sake I have enabled auto startup, hoping for it to work. It opens and lands in login page. Soon as it open as about 3-4 seconds it lags/freezes and auto-closes/ crashes. HELP METhe Sims 4 - stuck on cancelling repair!
Hi! Since the latest March update, my game has been buggy (I have a lot of cc and mods). I needed to do a repair as it was failing to launch and getting stuck on the loading page - I think it may have to do with the XML Injector and career mods that I just added. So I went to repair the game, I then forgot that I had done that, and whilst it was running I removed the XML Injector and careers 😶 I then decided to cancel the repair and it's been stuck cancelling it for 2 hours 🙃 Does anyone have any bright ideas how to either stop the cancel or reboot the EA app? Anything apart from deleting the game and reinstalling 😅
