Uninstalling EA App Uninstalls All Games on Same Drive
Hi there, apologies if this is a repeat gripe, but I'm not finding anything matching my experience, so here goes. I install my game clients and game installs on a secondary D:\ drive, it's a physical second drive. First issue, just to get the EA app to install to a drive or directory other than the default C:\Program Files (x86) directory, I found a command line that needs to be executed before running the install file - Without it, even if I choose a different drive/path during the installation process, it still forces itself to the default directory that it predetermines. I'm assuming this issue (like others, see below) has never been fixed, so I continue to use it when installing the app itself. But the second issue, which goes well beyond frustrating - When I try to uninstall the EA app for whatever reason, it literally deletes EVERYTHING on the D:\ drive, including the install directories and files for other game clients (Steam, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games, Battle.net, etc.) as well as any other games I may have installed at the time from those other game clients. Just to be clear - It's not uninstalling all of this other stuff not related to the EA app, but stright up deletes everything on the drive. I'm then left with a huge mess to clean up, including "officially" manually uninstalling whatever was left behind from the game clients and games through the Windows control panel (which often times doesn't really work because the install directories can't be found), as well as manually cleaning up any save/config files that were left behind in the appdata folder under my profile, broken shortcuts, etc. and then have to totally re-download and reinstall everything from scratch. The first time this happened maybe a year or so ago, the EA app was forcing me to download an update for itself, the update failed for whatever unknown reason, and I couldn't get back into it, just got errors every time I tried to launch it and had no choice but to uninstall/reinstall the app. Now it just happened again, was trying to do some cleanup on the drive. Figured I'd take the chance on uninstalling/reinstalling, they surely fixed this issue, right? I can't be the only person experiencing this, right? Lo and behold, this is still a problem, and it happened again. This is really a totally unnecessary aggravation when I've got 1 1/2 to 2 TB in games installed on the drive and it literally takes everything else down with it. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and/or knows of any fixes to avoid it from happening. Otherwise, I'm just staying away from this app and will not use it anymore, thankfully I don't need it for much beyond Dead Space 2023 and the Mass Effect games. Just sucks if I would ever want to play those again...Sims4 packs downloaded but won't show in game
I recently bought the For Rent, Growing Together, Nifty Knitting, and Werewolves packs. I have the email confirmations, the money is gone from my card and the content is showing as downloaded in the EA app. I have tried EVERYTHING to get them to work but no matter what I do, when I launch the game the packs are showing as not downloaded / not owned content. I have reset the app and the game, repaired everything, trashed all my mods, checked file locations, logged out and logged back in, literally every fix I've seen on here. I just want to use the packs I purchased. Can anyone help please? There's no error code or anything so I don't even know what's wrong.EA app entitlements are wildly inconsistent (sometimes missing dozens of games)
My EA app library frequently is missing entitlements. In Example 1 from March 13 (Example 1 link), you can see that EA app detected 1 installed game (I have 4 installed), and only detected 11 additional games in my library. In Example 2 (Example 2 link), also from March 13 (immediately after restarting EA app after Example 1), you can see that EA app detected 4 installed games, and an additional 93 games in my library (this is closer to accurate, but I need go back through my years' worth of entitlements to figure out which, if any, games are missing at this point; I know some like Anthem and Knockout City have been removed from everyone's libraries since those have been taken offline, and I am not disputing the absence of those few multiplayer-only titles, as lamentable as their absence might be; the issue is that I am having a large number of single-player games not show up in my library at times). In Example 3 from March 16 (Example 3 link), EA app detects 4 installed games, and an additional 81 games in my library (when EA app has entitlement issues, it is usually closer to showing 80-ish of my 100-ish games, as opposed to only showing a dozen or so titles). These are all games for which I have purchased licenses (i.e., this is not from an EA Play subscription, although I have had one in the past). When these games are missing, they aren't grayed-out in my library, they are completely absent from my EA app library. Pressing Ctrl+F5 does not fix it. In my experience, giving EA app several minutes does not result in the missing titles loading in, only restarting EA app (temporarily) fixes it. Restarting EA app once usually fixes it (until it occurs again in a subsequent login session); sometimes it requires one or two additional restarts before displaying accurately. EA app is the only client with which I experience this. I would not say I am encountering this 50% of the time, but it is a frequent occurrence. Is this entitlements inconsistency between EA's servers? I have a dynamically-assigned IP address. I am currently using my ISP's DNS service, but I have used Google and Cloudflare in the past, and it had no bearing on this issue. I am not experiencing any network disruption (Ethernet), and I am using a legitimate installation of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (with the latest Extended Security Updates installed), and I've encountered this issue well before Windows 10 was EOL. It has been happening randomly since the release of EA app. I have also had EA app (I would imagine server-side) clear out my wishlist. I do not have EA app set to open at startup (EA services do run though, e.g., EABackgroundService). Clearing EA app's cache does not prevent this issue. Running System File Checker does not fix this issue. I have already added antivirus and firewall exceptions for EA app [EADesktop.exe, EALauncher.exe, EALaunchHelper.exe, EABackgroundService.exe, EALocalHostSvc.exe, and EACefSubProcess.exe are the only EA app binaries I currently have exception rules for (no EA app binaries are blacklisted, but the aforementioned EXEs are the only ones for which I currently have whitelist rules), but I have previously created exceptions for all EXEs in %PROGRAMFILES%\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop, and it made no difference]. Turning off my antivirus suite altogether also does not alleviate this issue. All ports listed at https://web.archive.org/web/20140929090241/http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/ have been configured for port forwarding with my router, and my router has its latest firmware installed. Clean booting my PC does not prevent this issue. No VPN or proxy server is being used, nor is the computer configured for one. I am not accessing EA app from different locales (i.e., traveling). No DNS filtering tools are being used.Won't update due to lack of space but shows more than enough space is available
Essentially exactly what the title says. I've never had this problem on my PC before. It literally shows 900GBS are available and it only needs 20. Surely this is an error, but I don't know what else to do to fix it and the EA support chatbot is not helpful.[UPDATE] EA app Friends List, Invites, Cross-Play — What's Going On
Hi all, For last few weeks, the right side of the EA app is in indefinite loading screen. My profile pic, status and friend list are a part of this infinite loading screen, PFA. Because of this, in game friends who are online don't show up as well as I don't show as Online for my friends. I have no issue playing the game but I am no longer able to play with my friends. Tried the following but nothing helped: App uninstall and re-install. Delete reg edit entries, clear local data after EA uninstall and reinstall. Delete Apex legends and EA app, delete all involved folders, local data, reg edit entries and reinstall. Restart router. Also tried installing EA app in D: drive(custom location) but it keeps installing in C: drive. Not sure if this helps though.15KViews39likes375CommentsEA stole my money.

As for me, I can't understand why do we/I need this buggy/messy piece of app. It kills every intention to play any game from EA. At first it was Titanfall 1/2, next were Apex, BF3 and BF4. When I decided to install The Sims4 for my wife - experience was exact the same. Nothing worked, after dozens of tries nothing worked. So I decided two things: To not bye games from EA ever again. and to delete and never install this piece of shmak ever again... Can't wait when you at last decide to resign from this stupidity.23Views1like0CommentsWon't let me sign into my EA app on my macbook
Every time I try to sign in with my Apple login or my Google One, it will direct me to the website to confirm it's me, and then tells me to go back to the EA app, "all good," click the EA app, and it won't let me go further because it is saying my IP has changed. And when I try to sign in manually, the verification code it sends to verify it's me never comes, and I've hit the resend button multiple times, but the code never comes. I get emails just fine, but this code is not being received. I haven't logged on in a while, so maybe that's why? I even deleted the EA app from my MacBook and redownloaded it, but nothing seems to work.13Views0likes0Comments
