EA app Bug/EA App Friends List / Online Status Not Loading
I’m having an ongoing issue with the EA App where the entire right-side social panel is greyed out and won’t load. I can’t see my friends list, I can’t tell if I’m online or offline, and my friends have confirmed they cannot see me online either. I’m on Windows 11 and I do not use a VPN. I’ve already tried all the recommended troubleshooting steps, including fully uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App, clearing cache and leftover files, restarting and verifying the EA Background Service, running the app as administrator, checking firewall permissions, and reviewing Windows 11 security settings (including Core Isolation / vulnerable driver blocklist). None of these methods resolved the issue. The app itself opens and games launch normally, but the social features never load and there are no error messages. Since this started after a long period of not opening the EA App, it seems like the issue may be related to an account-side social or presence sync problem rather than a local system issue. If anyone has experienced this or knows of a fix beyond standard reinstalls and cache clearing, I’d appreciate any insight.EA app is censoring literally EVERYTHING. Please help
I don't know what's going on, but my EA app appears to be completely broken, perhaps I have a penalty on my account but as far as I know I do not because I already checked for that. This started happening a few days ago. I was beginning to type to my friend, when all of sudden, every message and word I was sending was coming out as a "### ##### ### #####" literally every single time. I asked "How was your day today?" and it censored that. It's literally censoring everything I type and nobody can understand what I'm saying unless I type them over discord. I've never seen this before. I knew EA was garbage, but I didn't think they would have such an insane filter that would completely act on it's own and just blindly silence everything I would say... This is a serious issue, and as far as I can tell, my friends are not having this problem. So what is going on? I'm going to submit a ticket and hope I can some answers, but feel free to help me out here because I'm tried re-installing, checking penalties and even clearing the cache, and nothing is working... Hi EA Team and Community, I am experiencing an issue with the EA App — my friends list has not been showing up for the past week. Despite trying several troubleshooting methods, the issue remains unresolved. Here’s what I have already attempted: Connected via different internet networks. Uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App. Uninstalled and reinstalled only the games I play most (to optimize system memory usage). Raised support tickets multiple times. Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with the EA App when trying to uninstall Battlefield 6 Single Player and Battlefield 6 Single Player HD Textures. Here’s what happens: I open the game’s Manage Add-ons section. I deselect both Single Player (17 GB) and Single Player HD Textures (8 GB). Then I press Update Install, but nothing happens — the app doesn’t uninstall them, and no storage space is freed. I already tried restarting the app, repairing the game, and even rebooting my PC, but the issue remains. It just refuses to remove those two components. Can someone from EA please check this out? Ever since the change from Origin to the EA App, I've had consistent issues with the management of my Sims 3 and all of it's DLC, store content etc. I'm regularly having to re-enter my in game settings, from ages, to seasons, to time format. This is a constant issue since the change to the EA App. Twice now, none of my DLC towns have been properly installed. I should only have to install this content once. The EA App should not be allowed to make changes to my saved game content such as DLC and Sims 3 Store content. The missing DLC includes as above, towns, certain premium items etc and causes a 'serious error' when loading a town which is in any way reliant on DLC I'm unaware has suddenly been either disconnected or uninstalled from my game. I have been getting prompts to 'Register' my Sims 3 game with Origin, which I did ages ago. If I close this window, as I'm no longer using my physical discs for gameplay, it aborts the starting of the game. I'm honestly sick of this App, the fact that we're forced to use it rather than simply installing all of our owned merchandise onto our PCs and being able to start the game with the launcher, allowing us to bypass this abysmal PC app. Please fix the stability of this app with regard to already installed games, in particular the Sims 3. Hi all, For last few weeks, the right side of the EA app is in indefinite loading screen. My profile pic, status and friend list are a part of this infinite loading screen, PFA. Because of this, in game friends who are online don't show up as well as I don't show as Online for my friends. I have no issue playing the game but I am no longer able to play with my friends. Tried the following but nothing helped: App uninstall and re-install. Delete reg edit entries, clear local data after EA uninstall and reinstall. Delete Apex legends and EA app, delete all involved folders, local data, reg edit entries and reinstall. Restart router. I have 2 EA accounts. 1 I want to cancel. I want to move my gaming name/contact phone number to the second account (which i my account for all my EA games). A. there is no info I can find telling me how to do this, 2. The AI chat box is totally dumb - can't figure out what I want and will not pass me to a human. Whatever i'm texting to my friends on EA app shows #'s only. Cleared cash, reinstalled, Downloaded and Logged into EA app on another PC too, but same thing... its happening since a week.
