Losing the will.....
Like many others, my game hasn't worked since the update. The update to the update didn't work either. I've repaired the game, done the EA app recovery, tried all CC removed, tried adding it all back, I've checked all my mods are up-to-date, reinstalled the game and relentlessly searched the internet for some information, all resulting in NOTHING. I can click on the game icon, I get the loading screen with the plum bob, then I get the dreaded black screen with the music is playing. I cannot remember the date of the first update that did this, but it has been far too long with no update or solution. Why is there a lack of communication on this? You cannot stick your fingers in your cyber ears and just ignore all loyal players. I paid for a game, I paid for multiple add-ons and EA did something to screw that up, so its down to EA to hurry up and fix it, or at least have some communication with the loyal players that have just been dumped on. I'd be happy with an update that undoes the previous update, because I don't even want this overpriced and pointless marketplace. ....And yea I'm ranting here, but that's because error reports, installing, uninstalling, repairing, recovering, attempts to contact/speak to anyone, or even track down some useful information online is utterly impossible. I'd even be happy with a message saying "sorry its slow, but we are on it" rather than all of us being ignored. Someone sort it out. so i updated my game, and i have NO MODS i only have the expansion packs and stuff packs and stuff like that, but now my packs wont load, i bought my packs off steam and the EA shop, when i loaded in after updateing my steam packs were not downloaded at all so i had to re-download them all, then when i finally thought i could play all my textures and save files were courrupted, showing the missing texture thing, and all my female sims are red and white and no textures load on them, please please please help me. idk what to do, i have no mods and ive never downloaded a mod in my life and i just dont know how to fix this, i dont even know if i have a backup folder. please please please help. and also many times on steam it says the game file was locked when i was updating, idk if thats on your side or steams but i just need help. About two days ago, mid game I got a pop-up that said, "Failed to Load Game" and that they recommend that I restart my game. I have restarted my game plenty of times and even let the game sit for a while. With absolutely no fix. But every time I load in, it gives me the same pop up. I do not have an CC or Mods; I play base game with packs that I have bought. I saw some posts saying that it happened to other people, but they have CC or Mods. Please fix this, I miss my game.Stuck in world choice
Okay, so let me try to break down everything I have tried. SO... I open the game everything loads fine, make a sim, everything is fine, go to find the world and home for said sim, everything fine until I choose the home. Then whenever it is in the loading stage where usually you'd see your sim and their home and begin their life, it now goes right back to the world choice map. Over and over again no matter what I hit but it is showing the household I had just made in the home I just chose. I have mods, but for this instance I did uninstall them and try again, no luck. I tried launching from desktop, steam, and EA. I have updated all my drivers, apps and then mods. Made sure there was no malware and tried launching and it all goes the exact same way, and then I am stuck in world choice. Over and over, no gameplay just world choice and that is all I get. I have tried to delete the app and then reinstall, I even looked into to doing the different update from before this recent patch just to see if that was the issue. And, yet... NO LUCK... Hola, se ha producido un error técnico en la EA App que impide el arranque de Los Sims 4 después de que mi ordenador se apagara repentinamente en medio de una partida el día 20/03. He identificado que el problema está relacionado con la carpeta de Mods (especialmente Ropa y Pelos), pero el error persiste de forma intermitente. Pasos que ya he realizado sin éxito definitivo: Limpieza de carpeta Bin: Eliminé archivos de ReShade (dxgi, shaders) y archivos de volcado de memoria (.mdmp) generados por el crash. Reparación y Caché: He reparado el juego desde la EA App varias veces y limpiado la caché de la aplicación (App Recovery). Reset de Carpeta de Usuario: He borrado los archivos localthumbcache.package, Options.ini, UserData.lock y avatarcache.package. Pruebas de Mods: Al quitar el CC, el juego arranca. Al intentar el método 50/50, el juego a veces funciona y otras vuelve a dar el 'Error técnico' incluso con pocos archivos, lo que sugiere una corrupción profunda en la caché o en los permisos de lectura de la carpeta tras el apagado forzado. Comandos de inicio: He probado los argumentos -w, -f y -disable_mod_loading sin que solucionen el bloqueo cuando el CC está presente. El juego funciona sin mods, pero al reintroducir el CC (que antes del apagón funcionaba perfectamente y ha sido pasado por Sims 4 Studio Batch Fixes), la EA App se bloquea al instante. ¿Existe alguna forma de resetear el registro de la App o el motor del juego que no sea la reparación estándar?
