F1® 22 - Community-Raised Issues
Hey racers, Thank you for your support since F1® 22's launch. The team are hard at work making tweaks to the game based on the feedback you provide. What's this post all about? This post will be used to inform you on issues that the F1® 22 development team are actively investigating or working on that have been raised by the F1® 22 community. How do I report a bug or issue? Before starting a new subject in EA Answers, please check to see if we're already tracking your issue in the list below. If you're not seeing the issue listed below, please visit the F1® 22 Technical Issues and F1® 22 Bug Reports boards to see if someone else has already raised it. If you're still not seeing your issue, please report it using the template that displays when starting a new topic in F1® 22 Bug Reports. Please also attach any relevant files that you think would help the team verify your issue such as screenshots, videos, or hardware configuration files. Inconsistent force feedback when using a controller (PC) In testing, this problem seemed to affect older controllers only. In order to fix this, the resulting effect would break features of newer controllers. Therefore, a decision was made not to make this change. Audio stuttering issues The team have identified that this is likely a hardware limitation linked to Bluetooth devices. Stuttering should not occur whilst using other devices for transmitting audio. If you are affected, please switch to a different audio device. If you are still experiencing this issue, please raise a new thread on EA Answers. AI can back out on overtakes too easily in certain scenarios All reports have been when using lower AI difficulties which is as expected. Please consider the following: This is not an exhaustive list of everything the development team are working on. Just because an issue is not listed above does not necessarily mean it's been ignored. Product: F1 22 Platform:PlayStation 5 Summarize your bug If I start a race weekend with friends (social game) with long (50%) length e.g. in Austria, I can only choose red tires for qualifying and yellow are mandatory in sprint. I can not freely choose the tires. Same in race, only yellow and white are available, even if I used only one of the reds in qualifying. Tire allocation screen for Austria (probably something similar on other tracks, too) says 4 red for Q1 and Q2 and yellow and white for race, no red. But Pirelli give the team all versions of the tires (Pirelli only chooses which compound C1/C2 and C4/C5) and teams can decide what to do. I am still wondering that white and yellow are mandatory (that’s not the case in real F1). Red/white should be fine too. Maybe not the fastest choice but if I drive without all assists I would like to have free choice too, even if it’s nonsens and I need to make another stop because my strategy was crap. It should be as in reality. And: If you choose two stops red is possible but isn’t mentioned in the tire allocation table. That’s weird. Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try a race, with the settings described above. but it is probably a general bug. but certainly reproducible with the settings above What happens when the bug occurs? Can not choose tires freely. What do you expect to see? Realistic tire choice like in real F1 + PlayStation 4 tooSolved9.4KViews60likes304CommentsAutomatic gearbox too late upshifts - after patch 1.06

Morning Racers! Hope everyone is settling well into EA Answers HQ, have seen some familiar usernames in the chats. I’d like to take this time to introduce you to @EA_Kent , who will be taking over most of the F1 Community Manager duties from myself after the launch of F1 22 alongside other members of the EA Answers HQ team. @EA_Kent brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise across a host of EA games and has over 3500 solutions offered on EA Answers HQ. He will also be receiving a full induction on the F1 project by me, so he will be fully up to speed on launch. He will also be joined by our Codemasters moderator icon and my Forum Championship team-mate (mostly so we avoid driving into each other every week – those who know know :P) @up100 who will continue to provide his excellent support and help across EA Answers HQ. For those who are interested, I am remaining with EA/F1 in a ‘Player First’ role within the developer team, so you can cancel the 'Barry's finally gone' parties you were arranging. I’ll still be occasionally visiting the forums, as well as other channels, and may well see you on track! I’d just like to say a short thank you to everyone I’ve raced with, talked to, laughed with, and worked alongside to make the games the best they can be. It's a genuine pleasure and a lot of fun. Remember, I'm not going far. I’ll be watching, always watching :P Please join me in welcoming @EA_Kent and the rest of the EA Answers HQ support team into the F1 community. The floor is yours…6.9KViews37likes59CommentsF1 22 crashing freezing on PS4
Product: F1 22 Platform:Sony Playstation 4 Summarize your bug The game is crashing/freezing on PS4. The screen just freezes and the engine sound can still be heard. The error code is (CE-36329-3). This has occurred twice in a few hours of play. Which area is the bug/glitch in? TT How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? PS4 game freezing on both time trial and a general race. What happens when the bug occurs? The screen just freezes and the engine sounds can still be heard. What do you expect to see? I hope this can be resolved as soon as possible with a patch. The screen is freezing and the engine sounds remain on. This is occurred twice in just an hour or so of playing. I had to come out of the game completely and restart it. The error code is (CE-36329-3). This occurred during a time trial at Silverstone and a 50% race.8.2KViews36likes146CommentsController Force Feedback issues
Product: F1 22 Platform: Steam-PC Summarize your bug After speaking to various Controller players across all consoles/platforms we have all said the same thing. The FFB feels like it is glitched or something along with lines as there is pretty much no feeling of the car at all (the turning feels very light, no vibrations). Would appreciate if you guys could look into this, as its making it really hard to drive or feel the car even on maximum FFB settings Which area is the bug/glitch in? TT How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you compare the FFB from this game to the last few games you will be able to see the difference easily. What happens when the bug occurs? It's like there is no feeling or FFB when braking or accelerating. Which makes it really hard to drive. Even when I put it to 150 FFB, it still feels the same and has the same issue What do you expect to see? Force feedback when braking and accelerating, and feeling resistance when turning. Even over the kerbs and stuff it still feels really weak and hardly there at all. It happens EVERYWHERE (career mode, online, quick races).6.8KViews31likes280CommentsF1® 22 Is Here | Released July 1st, 2022
