⚔️ Maxis vs Basegame Skills
Hi, Some skills are updated and others are completely ignored. Maxis "favorite" skills : Cooking / Gourmet Cooking / Mixology Fitness Fishing Gardening Handiness : Finally woodworking gets new recipes and a kit brought restoration Photography / Painting : sims can paint anything Video gaming Neglected skills : Comedy : No new jokes. A jester would have more to offer (acrobatics, juggling, performing magic tricks, jokes in song). It could also include mime. Guitar / Piano / Violin : No new songs. Maybe with Showtime EP we will get something. Mischief : No new voodoo doll powers or mischievous interactions Programming : No new hacks Writing : No new books . Maybe potions, magic spells and voodoo curses could be a knowledge that the sims should write in a grimoire (Magic book of Family recipes protected by a spell). Career books could be a way to boost the performances (efficiency gain) "Dead end" skills ? : Charisma : Many features already boost the relationships. Logic : Do the sims never use their brain ??? No it doesn't count when zombies eat it. Rocket Science : New rockets ? But to do what ???94Views7likes5CommentsIt's time mermaids had a second chance!
Look, I know EA wouldn't be very thrilled by the idea of an update to mermaids so could we please get a dedicated game pack to them? With their own underwater world, caves (preferably interactive!) to relax and maybe even moonbathe in! They could have their own skilltree like vamps and werewolves and fairies. Seriously, please give us a skilltree for mermaids, there's so many simmers that want a full fleshed out mermaid! It's a lot of sims favourite occult and yet....we barely have much to do with mermaids right now. They just exist and can swim and can talk to dolphins and change weather but that's it and....it would be really awesome if they could do more than that, please. I know I'm not the only one wanting something like this and I know not everyone would be thrilled buying it but at this point I'd be willing to pay if it means I get to have a full experience with their gameplay! I could imagine a cool idea where there's a small kingdom of mermaids underwater and have them be fearful of Islanders (maybe they hunted them in the past so mermaids avoid them after they migrated to a new island/ocean). We could have the evil mermaid and good mermaid options too like with fairies! They could have scepters that could summon weather abilities like lightning at sims or tornadoes for example!9Views0likes0CommentsFeedback/suggestions For The Sims 4
Hello! So I've been playing The Sims 4 on my Mac for a while now, a bit after it came out, and I currently own every expansion pack and stuff pack. I am such a huge fan, but I think, especially with the new Toddler update out, that there can be some really easy improvements to the game. I'm new to this forum so if I put this in the wrong area or something, I'm really sorry! I'm not trying to mislead anybody or create spam, but I just thought it would be fun to put some ideas out there! So one thing I've wanted since the update came out was the ability to interact with Toddlers in more ways. For example, I really want to be able to hold Toddlers without the instant (and unremovable) action to put him/her down. This becomes tedious because I like the thought of my parent sim talking to another person while holding the Toddler at the same time. This is more realistic and really cute! I also want to be able to sit on a couch or in a chair with a toddler in my arms, or to be able to have a toddler snuggle up to my sim while he/she is sleeping or napping on a couch, lounge chair, or bed. I want to have more food options for the toddlers and some new furniture for the Toddler sort as well - I think that would make decorating a lot easier. Also, I would love more hair and clothes! That's all, and I know that's a lot, but there are some pretty cute suggestions in there that I think would definitely make the game more interesting. Please take a look if you can! Once again, I'm really sorry if I put this in a wrong place or did something else wrong - it's only because I've never done this before. Have a super awesome day! Happy simming!16KViews11likes64CommentsBecoming a Fairy- WAY too simple! (AND EVERYTHING ELSE, TOO!)
Watching James Turner play Enchanted by Nature. Fairies are ridiculously simple to become and then ridiculously overpowered. To become a fairy, you do a handful of simple steps that take 40 in-game minutes and you're set for life. Then you no longer have a Hunger or Bladder need ever again, and can use a single low-price fairy house object to fill all your needs whenever you want. So in just a few real world minutes any Sim can become basically permanently happy and all-powerful forever. What's the point of even playing the game then? You can buy an apothecary item for 20 simoleons that fills ALL your motives, removes ALL your negative moodlets, and fixes your balance. Enchanting a gnome to garden for you makes ALL your plants bloom INSTANTLY, and the gnome drops rare and expensive seed packets that can give you death flowers with literally no effort. None of this is balanced, this is all just cheating- there's no gameplay here, what are you doing? Why is none of this even attempting to be a video game anymore, this is all just play-around-whatever nonsense that completely destroys the GAME part of the game! -You get a seedling, either by...asking someone you just met to hand you one, or buying it on the computer -You plant the seed -You get a text box popup before planting the seed warning you that you're gonna summon mother nature IMMEDIATELY by doing so -The seed is placed on the ground, and sprouts instantly -The seed disappears and does not have to grow or anything -You drink a potion -You go swim in a pond and become a fairy Are you for real? This is worse than "Gather Motes" to become a spellcaster. There's no time investment whatsoever, there's no difficulty, you don't have to find the seed or do any quests or anything to get it, you literally ask for it (Or buy it on the COMPUTER? REALLY?) and you're a fairy within 40 seconds. This pack comes with another questing system, so why isn't something like this tied to quests? This occult requires a seedling and a plant, so why don't you have to prove your worth by successfully growing the plant? You're telling me an evil man who lives in an industrial neighborhood and has no skills or abilities or friends whatsoever can just throw a seed he got off the computer into the dirt, instantly have it germinate, and get magic fairy powers from mother nature who doesn't sense anything off about this request? There's no gameplay to this whatsoever, there might as well just be a "become a fairy" button you get when you click on your SIm. I rarely call content in games "lazy" but this is LAZY.335Views15likes18CommentsIt can't go on like this...
I hope that many players will see this and respond. I am thinking that enough is enough with bug fixes and 10 new ones coming. I'm tired of paying a lot of money and not being able to use features. I'm tired of hotfixes taking forever, others get it done. I'm tired of reading that bugs break games. i'm tired of getting the impression that publishers don't care about the players. players who also play other games are already making fun of it, as EA says - it's not a bug, it's supposed to be a feature. EA, you have enough money, please give maxis what it needs to fix bugs faster. You are dependent on us players, and if people stopped playing you wouldn't make any more money with the sims. At some point it's just enough.294Views15likes11CommentsSuggestion: Pump the brakes on TS4 packs and fix the game
As we all know, TS4 has had many bugs that are being fixed and/or has bugs that are yet to be fixed. I say that we have EA stop making The Sims team make packs for a while (we have 97 already), and just fix the game and the many bugs. I would like packs, but I would like a game that doesn't slowly break itself over time.22Views6likes0Commentscriminals, bookies, and fences
I'd like to see a proper criminal pack. A pack that introduces a refresh to the criminal and detective careers, organized crime syndicates, and an underworld society. Here are my suggestions: New criminal career branches: forger and cat burglar: A forger would specialize in making forgeries of famous art pieces such as paintings (base game), pottery (hobbies and businesses), and jewelry (crystal creations). A cat burglar would specialize in breaking and entering various community and residential venues and stealing goods. Add a new world from which the criminal underworld would operate from. This world would consist of bars where criminals could look for associates to assist them with their criminal activities, an interactive shell where thieves can "fence" their stolen goods, a racetrack for watching and betting on horse races, a "bookie" for illegal betting and race "fixing," and the headquarters for the crime syndicates to run their racketeering schemes from. Add a new heist event. The heist event is a special event that criminals in the cat burglar branch can trigger. It would function similarly to the burglary event from for rent. A criminal can "case" a venue that they want to break and enter. Then they get a career task to plan a heist. They will need to gather associates, intel, and/or gadgets for conducting the heist. Then they actually perform the heist at a specified venue. During the heist event, the criminals must disable security, steal the desired items, and leave the premises before the police arrive. Add a criminal syndicate. The crime syndicate would function similarly to the secret society from discover university. It is an organization for criminals to run various racketeering schemes, such as tricking sims into signing up for "pyramids" scams, selling fake insurance, extorting "protection money" from local businesses, etc. Sims don't have to be in the criminal career to join, but sims with the evil and mean traits are more likely to be accepted into the crime syndicate. Sims would first have to learn about the crime syndicate by visiting the seedy bar in the underworld, performing some initiation tasks, and then becoming a member of the syndicate. Refresh/expansion of GTW detective career. With a properly functioning criminal underworld, detectives need to be more alert. The detective career would have 2 new career branches: beat cop and undercover detective. The beat cop would specialize in making contacts inside the underworld community to solve crimes and thwart criminal activity. They can "turn" criminals they've arrested into informants and perform stakeouts to catch criminals in the act. Undercover detectives would specialize in inserting themselves into the crime syndicate in order to get an understanding of their structure and dealings, thus allowing them to take down the entire organization. Functional prisons. When sims are a part of the crime syndicate or criminal career, they run the risk of getting arrested for their activities. If they are arrested, they are taken to the police station and must spend the night in jail. They can be released the next morning by paying "bail" and they will receive a criminal record. The more charges on the criminal record, the higher the bail amount. During the arrest, sims can attempt to "bribe" the arresting officer. NPC detectives with the materialistic or nosy trait are more likely to accept a bribe. While in prison, any illegally obtained money and goods will be removed from the sims inventory. Functional racetrack and jockey career (horse ranch). The racetrack will be a new community venue where sims can watch and bet on horse races. Bookie sims can also be found at these venues and take illegal bets for race fixing. There will be a new equestrian career; jockey. Jockey sims can enter races at the racetrack and earn prize money from winning races. The higher their horse - riding skill, the better their performance. Jockey sims can also use the local bookie to fix races. If jockey sims are caught fixing races, they will be banned from entering races for a specified period of time. Multiple offences may lead to them being fired from the jockey career.28Views3likes2Comments
