There is so much in franchise mode to improved on, can you please update
This game is a lot more unrealistic then you may realize, for the price it was and all the hype i thought you would've done all this to begin with but here it is: all of this is in real life hockey why isnt it in NHL games? First born leaders should be locker room leaders, even created players, there should be season n preseason goals for ahl clubs, also when you create a team n make a franchise with them, can there be more to edit with both league teams, also it should keep track of ahl awards for single players, also why are there no banner raising ceremonies for stanley cup winner and retired players, also some player in nhl free agency have lost there past stats, J.Toews,E.Staal, J.Pavelski ect...also you should put in real NHL n AHL Coaches. Also why are players not retiring until age 50 they should be retired at 40. Also total eclipse doesnt work. Also idk why you made players response so rude no nhl player would be rude to their GM, can you update franchise mode into existing files, you're not updating enough. Also why did you get rid of outdoor games n stadium series games? Also the olympics n or 4 nations should be put into the franchise mode schedules. Should be more open ice hits and line brawls n fights. And can you put more care into the AHL. Also the AHL coaches dont listen to line up changes even when they are ok with the change, coaches are pretty off in this game. Can you add coaches challenge and way more video reviews, arent there more new rules in the NHL they should be the same in the game. Also user team goalies never get hurt but other teams goalies do, thats not fair. How come there isnt more abilities on players and why isnt there more abilities to get under season goals. Also why does everytime i draft a player they lose there abilities and player lose them through siming, the only way they should lose them is for age or lacking of the abilities. Whats the point of being able to edit a players abilities if siming just gets rid of them? Also in the draft for the USA why isnt it with real team and all that like juniors in canada, should have more real draft kids. Also whenever a player gets traded it shows up every single game after the trade, thats a glitch! Players should be stretchered off the ice if seriously hurt, its definatly happens, this game needs to be much more realistic. Keep grudge matches put more rival games Also can you change the rink announcer to real ones and have more then two, there should be more stats and stuff they keep track of. Also the deke through the legs doesnt work also can you put a deke for putting the puck through your players legs instead of the opponents legs? Also players still lose there abilities when siming just in general weather its a day at a time or over the whole season, its annoying Also there's gotta be suspensions, n more major penalties Also players are way too calm during the game n post whistle Also if a player is planning on retiring with a team there should be a conversation with the GM about it, players should retire at 40 not playing till 50! Also with a creates team for the Go team go can we be able to edot the words in the offseason? Can you also use actual referees n announcers Also the hitting accuracy is off players shouldnt be role through a check especially if its a bigger player and no proper way of adjusting it also passing and poke checking accuracy is really bad Can you have all real NHL coaches and AHL coaches How come the teams tunnels are in the rafters but never used at the begin of games Also if you give players season goals in preseason some of the player lose them before the season starts, they should have them till they are completed, not when simed Their is a big glitch when siming you should really fix it You should add all the new rules into NHL 25 why wouldnt you Also when players can get potential attributes from stat challenges or off season goals why is it only a potential, you should either get it or not that should be determined by weather they do a season goal or off season Also player potentials should adjusted more depending on how they play, too many AHL potential players the when you draft them it changes that shouldnt happen Also with created teams the province doesnt show up when in a pregame intro for NHL n AHL CPU n Users sliders and stuff are off should be higher, bigger n better, n way more equal Also whenever a ayer takes a shot from the point no matter what size the player or how heavy the shot the shot reader always says the same number, it should be different for every player also can you record other shots not just point shots Also the rookie stats in the nhl n ahl dont track the right players! There's gotta be more player conversations n coach conversations about players and the team in general Also the GOALIES are horrible just everything about them should be better Players should have AHL awards under there awards as well AHL is just as important as the NHL if not more its a development league, should be much better Should add new superstar abilities can you fix total eclipse as well its doesnt screen the goalie at all Shouldnt teams have college players as exempted contracts, you should redo the USA teams n draft n what not All NHL teams have ECHL affiliate this game should have the same, cause teams have more then 50 contracts also there should be LTIR should be able to call up player to the AHL and should be gm decision who gets called up to AHL or NHL Should have All star weekends in both leagues In calender should add All Star week,Olympics/4 nations n jeresy retirement n banner raising ceremonies should be on game days More players should have abilities especially if you cant get them through season goals, like big players should have the hitting one or players with a 90 attribute should have that ability at least 75% of both NHL n AHL players should have some kind of abilities at least Custom teams should have more centre ice styles n bigger scoreboards and more to edit Also when you dont have the puck as a player and switch players down ice it doesnt switch to the closest player to the puck it take a bit to switch player ot should always go to to player closest the puck unless their is a fight n even then ot keep switching players while holding y button I hope to see these updates very very soon ive been asking of these for months! I would like to know when there will the voices in french in the NHL games, like as an example Pierre Houde and Marc Denis (Television in RDS) and Dany Dubé and Martin McGuire (on Radio), they are really good in the description and analysis of hocket games in french. As i understood you are using AI for the voices, so it should be easy for you guys to add those voices, and people all over the worl playing NHL games could have the choices of using french or english voices for description and analysis. Did you know that there is alot of people listen hockey games in NHL all in the world (French and English). So please get back to me about this.
NHL 26 early wishlist (let’s make NHL great again)
First off I will say nhl 25 is actual a huge step up im liking it so far , but it’s missing some details to feel complete.. full presentation needs to return and add more to what we had in the past games In edit player menu have the ability to change the color of sticks and gloves (nhl 2k had this) and now players have been customizing their own as well. Customizable tape job (adjust length on shaft and blade and not have it preset) And add the ability to edit goalie masks. hitting and collisions need to be tweaked to more realism. Franchise: be able to control more than one team able to scout and sign players from other leagues(I.E europe) Real coaches or at least customizable coaches A customizable GM character, have conversations be shown like it is in fifa where your Gm Meets the player. office similarly to dynasty mode in nhl 2004 On the hub where we get details of what went on in other games we can see highlights (either by clip or a screen shot) with description such as ‘stamkos nets a hat trick in last nights win’ and a small clip or screen shot showing stamkos scoring his 3rd goal. Be a pro: change up the whole be a pro game mode make it more like life the life. ability to use NhL players to continue their career or an nhl legend Street clothes for off days and make it interactive. If I buy a condo or a house i want to actualy see my self living in it. Same with the car we get, be able to drive around (a small map) and not just be a attribute boost. Pond hockey pick up games you can walk to or drive to when you leave your ‘house’ Call it a ‘hall of fame room’ similar to skybox 2k had in nhl2k5 where you had the Stanley cup and other interactive stuff and unlockables. Be able to decide to start from being drafted at 18 or create a 30 year old forward who just signed with an nhl team etc.. more interactive with teammates and coaches and GM list of teams you want to be traded to etc.. extras add winter classic and all star game (skills + game) both as a play now mode and also in franchise and be a pro. player retiring playing their last game get a ovation from crowd. Announce the player will retire 1 game before their last skate with the cup (playoff mode, season mode , franchise and be a pro) Tweak the fighting engine and allow more than one fight happening at once. this is a lot of an ask, but if we can get half of these implemented we are definitely heading Into greatness with NhL games.
NHL 26 Franchise Wishlist
Firstly, I’d like to say I appreciate the changes to franchise for 25. I like the new menus and the conversation system, but that’s basically all there is. I love playing franchise, and I REALLY think it could be improved on for 26. Firstly, this is a huge ask, but it would make it so much more fun: Have eras like the NBA2k games. Imagine going back to 2015 and drafting McDavid, or go to the 90s and trade for Gretzky. It would be awesome and encourage players to keep playing as there would always be new things to try. Obviously I would want the setting just like in 2K to have real events happen, so in 2022 the Kraken join, or in 2020 the Sabres rebrand, etc. Secondly, I think We need a fix to the trade value system. I don’t know exactly what the problem is, but it’s just not realistic. You basically can’t trade for any top 20 players and costs so so much just for a first round pick some years. Crazy. As someone who loves to create teams, I think we need a Team Builder like Madden too. I would love to add custom logos, or new templates or something to make my custom teams more unique and more realistic. I wouldn’t care if this is just for offline as it would most likely be pretty hard to translate into HUT I think the new conversation system is cool, but I’d like to see some things like allowing me to try and convince players with NMCs to waive and come to my team, or players requesting trades if they’re unhappy. i think another great change would be to add custom draft classes, this way EA doesn’t have to make them all but they can still be realistic (especially for the ERAs idea) I know all these changes won’t come to 26, but I’d love to see some more love given to the greatest mode in the game and what could be the greatest franchise mode in all of gaming.
Requesting a refund after less than 30 minutes of playing.
Dear EA, I'm a longtime fan of your NHL franchise and today is the first time ever I'm going to be requesting a refund for a game. I purchased NHL25 about an hour ago and I've already decided that it's unplayable. The franchise mode is virtually the only one I play. The fun part for me is being able to jump right in, maybe adjusting a few settings first, then start making changes to my team immediately. It's a game we're talking about here after all, not a full-on simulator that will handcuff what you can do. As much as I appreciate the effort that went into making the changes for NHL25's franchise mode, it's simply not fun anymore and along with the UI changes makes the experience painful. The big pain points for me -- and I'm sure there would be more if I kept playing -- are the inability to disable trade/move clauses and the UI. I actually like that the trade/move clauses were added. I was happy to try it out until I saw how it works: Sit through conversations with players trying to get them to waive. Realistic, sort of, sure -- I guess -- but conversing with a bunch of scripted actions isn't fun, and it eats up too much time. It's a nice idea but if the feature is going to be forced on me, there's got to at least be a way to streamline this. Again, I want to move fast and get to the fun stuff most of the time. Anyway, after dealing with it for 3 players, I decided that I'll just disable it since I liked the idea but just didn't want to deal with it for now. Unfortunately, I discovered the trade/move clause feature can't be disabled whatsoever. That's ridiculous and I can't believe the game was shipped this way. Instant deal-breaker for me. The franchise mode UI is quite counter-intuitive IMO. Less than half the screen real estate for a small menu you have to page through with the buttons on the top of your controller -- left and right while the menu display pages up and down -- and the rest of the screen is only accessible by specific button presses. This completely goes against the natural instinct to use the cursor/joystick for things across the screen, especially if they look like you're able to as such with all the franchise screens in previous games. It's bad enough that I'll say something I never thought I would: I now prefer the previous menus where you simply paged through screens and got a big clear display of things on each one. It was sort of wasted space on some pages but it was all easily readable and intuitive. Now, it's not comfortable at all looking only at the left side of the screen or having to remember what are essentially keyboard shortcuts (buttons) for everything else. It's not something I'll ever be patient enough to get used to or event want to try to in the first place. Thanks for the all the games in the franchise over the years but this one finally did it. I'm done. Next step is contacting Sony for a refund since I can't go through EA for purchases made on PSN. - former faithful NHL franchise user
Jersey Customization in Franchise mode
There’s still no option for jersey customization in franchise mode (tried owner mode on & off). Wondering if there’s any progress being made on this? I’ve seen it posted a few months back, hard to believe it wouldn’t be in the game at all after so many years with it there. Definitely bummed about that because I enjoy switching up my jerseys once in a while.
Suggestions for Career and Franchise Mode Improvements in NHL 26
The Career mode in NHL 25 lacks several key elements to make the experience more immersive and realistic. It would be beneficial to add richer interactions between the player, the coach, the managers, and the team. Currently, the training sessions are too limited and could be much more realistic and impactful on player development. Additionally, allowing players to start very young, at age 14, in summer camps or junior leagues, would add a deeper dimension to a player's career. Furthermore, the Franchise mode could be improved by allowing players to start in any league, including those not currently available in the game. This would provide more diversity and strategic choices, allowing players to build a career at their own pace and create new dynamics for each team. These improvements would greatly enrich the overall experience of the game, offering more flexibility and opportunities to shape the player's journey. While it may be too late for NHL 25, these suggestions could be considered for NHL 26 if the developers are open to them. I hope a dev will answer my message or not :D
